First released on the PC, Switch, Xbox One, and PS4 last 2017, the remake to the much beloved SEGA platformer is hitting the Android and the iOS on May 30th. In a recent announcement, the masters of the retro remake DotEmu said they were working together with PlayDigious to make the mobile adaptation possible.

The original console version, which was developed by Lizardcube, has been widely praised not only for bringing a Master System title to the modern consoles but also for faithfully recreating the world into a beautiful hand-drawn art style. In their upcoming mobile release, they're aiming to preserve both the animations and the other features in a portable package.

Other than the switch to touchscreen controls, the game will remain mostly the same. Not only will it still feature the option to switch between classic and remastered visuals and sounds, it also keeps the retro passwords from the 1989 release. This means that all your progress passwords from the original Master System will continue to work on the mobile version.

Although it will be available on the App Store, players who pre-register using the Google PlayStore will earn a 30% discount off the launch price.

Shakedown Hawaii

A game that's been a long time coming has finally confirmed a release. Unlike the Switch's official release date, for the 3DS, we only have assurance that it will come out shortly after May 7th. Good enough for people who have been awaiting against all hope. An open world adventure set in a retro 16bit environment, VBlank Entertainment's followup to Retro City Rampage ramps up the criminal escapades in this part of the tropics.

With the tagline "Business in the front and bodies in the back," Shakedown Hawaii deals with striking the balance between the legitimate corporate facade and the criminal underbelly. See the world through the eyes of an aging CEO, his son, and a henchman that’s only known as the consultant. With them, you get to crash and burn in the fanciest cars, run people over, and take care of business.

A retro parody packed with pixels, chiptunes, and nostalgia, it’s coming to the 3DS sometime this year.

Timespinner

From the makers of our favorite modern retro games like Stardew Valley, Pocket Rumble, and Wargroove, Chucklefish takes on another 90s inspired adventure with this new title. As an action RPG slash metroidvania platformer, Timespinner's narrative takes a turn towards bending the realities of time and space. Discover a rich and beautiful world with pixel art visuals, meet mysterious familiars to train you in battle, face challenging bosses, and locate secrets.

Already released on most PC, PS4, Vita and much recently, the Xbox One and the Switch, that leaves the 3DS, one of their stretch goals, the only console that's left wanting this retro gem. Starting out on kickstarter, their last update about the 3DS port was late last year where the devs talk about starting on it very soon. We'll have to wait and see when soon is. No release date yet.

Distraint

Jesse Makkonen's adventure is one prime example of both an affordable and portable horror experience. Despite its simplistic graphics, Distraint delivers a menacing dose of psychological horror. Revolving around the character named Price, help him through his corporate ambitions by fulfilling the relatively menial task of seizing a property of an elderly woman. You soon find out though that this mission will soon put him in a spiral of misery and regret.

With the subtitle Pocket Pixel Horror, Distraint has actually been widely available on Android and iOS devices since 2016. Its Deluxe Edition which features dynamic coloring, enhanced animation, refined audio, and improved UI was released later on the PC and iOS to pretty decent reviews. It's this edition that was slated to release on Nintendo's portable console, but the devs have been mum since. No release date yet.

Shovel Knight: King of Cards

Yacht Club Games has always been at the forefront of giving their fanbase exactly what they wanted. By refining the knightly 8bit experience with every free expansion, the Shovel Knight saga just kept getting better and better. But their upcoming expansion, King of Cards, ramps it up in all fronts. Already giving full new experiences in Plague of Shadows and Specter of Torment, King of Cards gives a full royal flush of new features.

Not only will it cap off the Shovel Knight saga with King Knight's taste for royal bashes and bounces, it will also have competitive card battles with future subjects and a chance to show off your skills in feats and plaftorming challenges. With such a huge update to their gameplay, it's only understandable for it to need a lot more time in the oven. Already delayed a few times, we expect Yacht Club Games to deliver once more sometime this 2019.

Super Mighty Power Man

A genuine 2-D action-platformer reminiscent to the classic games of the 80’s and 90’s. Play as Corey, a kid who finds himself in the most unexpected adventure to save the galaxy. Inspired by the popular SEGA hit, Mega Man, go on a rampaging journey to defend your world from the evil forces of General Mok.

With its true 8-bit NES visuals, it’s a fantastic trip back to the past but with a modern twist. Encounter countless creatures and defeat bosses by using your myriad of superpowers. It’s truly a love letter to the days of old, and especially so to the beloved Mega Man series.

While it failed its kickstarter campaign from two years ago, a few publishers have taken an interest on the title, and we're still hoping it will come out...eventually. Unfortunately for now, no release date yet.

The Great Ace Attorney 2

There comes a rare moment in gaming when fans pour their energy into a game’s Western localization. Most Nintendo games don’t see the light of day in the U.S., most get buried under the dark pits of Japanese arcade stores, never to be released outside their country. CAPCOM is known to do that, which leaves some fans disappointed.

This fan-made translation serves as a prequel to the iconic Ace Attorney franchise. It serves a sort of spin-off that takes place in Feudal Japan. Fans were passionate when it comes to this entry, despite CAPCOM’s aggressive take downs. But in support of this wholesome passion project, it deserves the attention, especially for non-Japanese speaking players who just want to play the game. It’s already out on the iOS and Android, but the 3DS version might come out later due to CAPCOM’s intervention.

League Of Evil

Of all the games coming for the 3DS and PSVita, Ratalaika Games’ 8-bit platformers doesn’t plan to wow you with its presentation, it’s in the content. Ravenous Games is giving us a hunger for justice in this new platform adventure game. Created in that ubiquitous retro style, League of Evil takes us to the seat of the arcade style action amid blocky stages and chiptune tracks.

The rules are simple: Use your acrobatic skills and jump about from level to level, punch enemies, and defeat the league of evil scientists, almost in the style of the classic Megaman series. Unpack the 4 chapters spread over 140 levels, or create your own chaos in their level editor.

Already on the Steam, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/league-of-evil/" title=">League Of Evil for Switch">Switch, and smartphones, League of Evil is a success among critics and gamers, with many praising its addictive, fast-paced gameplay and captivating animations. No release date yet.

RISE: Race The Future

Already out on the PC, and backed by a barrage of positive reviews to boot. RISE is shaping up to be one impressive racing game on the portable console. From the same people behind the 3DS shooter, Ironfall: Invasion, VD-Dev's venture into racing is looking equally good.

Strutting their style with subtle controls, high-octane racing and gorgeous visuals, RISE would be a great addition to the 3DS' arcade racing lineup.

Unfortunately, it’s not without its fair share of problems, there's not a lot of news coming out for their 3DS port, especially since the passing of their co-founder. The 3DS is now in life-support for the past few years. Let’s hope we get to see this come out of dev-hell. On the bright side, it’s perhaps aiming for a Switch release, the 3DS port might not be long behind.

0000

Another title from Ratalaika Games. Instead of eliminating enemies and taking down thugs, in this game, you get to challenge yourself in its tough-as-nails difficulty.

This 3ds puzzle game takes joy in its 100 handcrafted levels. Combining rhythm and puzzle elements, leap and dodge to the rhythmic tunes inspired by a combination of 8-bit and modern electronic tunes. Its black and white playground can catch you off guard. Use your reflexes to survive its gauntlet of hair-pulling levels.

There’s not much we know about this game at the moment aside from its trailer and a handful of screenshots. Coming this 2019.

Silver Falls

There’s not a lot of horror titles on the 3DS. For a family-friendly console, it’s a bit of a taboo to introduce the concept of horror to a target demographic of 10 year olds. In Silver Falls, play as a group of survivors unaffected by a mysterious extraterrestrial threat that plunges the quaint little town.

Considering it’s portable features, Silver Falls has a lot of promise. It evokes the familiar dread of survival-horror elements from notable games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Customize your weapon, find the perfect combination for the job as you live through hell and back with the game’s unique ‘groundhog day’ feature where you start over when you die.

Like most of the upcoming 3DS games, release dates are a blur but the devs did promise to release this early 2019 so stay tuned!

10. Blade Strangers

It might be a newbie in the fighting game market, but Blade Stranger's character roster surely isn't. A crossover title, this 2D fighter's lineup consists of the familiar names in today's indie videogame scene. Rounding up stars from up to six franchises, as well as some originals, Studio Saizensen's Blade Strangers is not your usual arcade game. Aside from Code of Princess and Umihara Kawase characters, it also lets you get acquainted with the unique fighting styles of Isaac, Shovel Knight, and yes, Cave Story's Curly Brace.

Offering fun, user-friendly fighting for all, it might not have the most comprehensive mechanics for veterans. But, making creative use of each character's individual abilities in the fighting game format already ensures players with plenty of entertainment value. If you're an indie game fan looking for a simple fighting game on the Switch, Blade Strangers is one to check out.

It has a playscore of 7.73

9. BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle

Arc System Works takes a break from their other fighting games to bring together the cast and characters of various Japanese universes into one ultimate battle. Rendered in their signature flair, their expertise continues to shine through with the introduction of a newer, easier to understand the fighting system. Unlike other Blazblue titles, Cross Tag Battle, along with the usual Blazblue suspects, features characters from Persona 4, Under Night In-Birth, and RWBY.

The base game offers 20 characters but their succeeding season DLCs promise more than 20 additions--with the most recent announcements being Naoto, Teddie, Seth, and Heart Aino for a Japan release this Spring.

A unique and occasionally odd reunion of Japanese greats, this Arc System Works crossover manages to unite them all in one battlefield while retaining the charm of each character. While a little lacking for some, its ridiculous plot and straightforward but fun fighting mechanics is a great edge especially for the Switch lineup.

It has a playscore of 7.74

8. Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection

As well as the joy of getting to play all those awesome titles, this collection will also include more blasts to the past in the form of archival documents, music, and history.
It has a provisional playscore of 7.92

It has a playscore of 7.93

6. ARMS

Unveiling a new IP especially for the Switch, Nintendo brings its fans a whole new multiplayer game to show off their skills on the joy controllers. Pulling off the whole quirky fighting game with absurd mechanics, ARMS gets right down to business letting you equip your combination of extendable appendages on their cast of characters.

Whether it's playing the physical way with a pair of joycons for each player, or the more traditional controller mode, ARMS is an experience in and of itself. Use your set of devastating special moves and deal out insane combos until you're the last one standing. Much like Mario Kart, it might have friendly, vibrant colors but competition in each arena is undeniably fierce. Familiarize yourself with all the silly artillery and create your own special fighting style to surprise your opponents.

A little light on the singleplayer experience, it still packs a mean party game punch with a rating of 8.02

5. Pokken Tournament DX

4. Mortal Kombat 11

It looks like Nintendo has fully let go of their family-friendly atmosphere with the entry of this long-running fighting game. A sequel to their 2011 reboot slash story retcon, Mortal Kombat 11 happily picks where that left off. With this latest installment comes a mix of new and old. Featuring familiar faces across the series' history--like Liu Kang, Kitana--as well as a handful of fresh names like the Earthbending Cetrion, the Shao Kahn ally, The Kollector, and the mysterious Geras.

Building upon the solid foundations of their signature gorey combat, Mortal Kombat 11 new features include an upgrade on their fatalities with Fatal Blows--a powerful and more gruesome attack at that last breath of life. Amid news of framerate drops and grinding, the experience of bloody battles on the Switch is still a promising idea.

A provisional playscore of 8.08

3. BlazBlue: Central Fiction - Special Edition

2. Dragon Ball FighterZ

It was only a matter of time before it gets the Switch port. Arc System’s iconic cel-shaded art style takes you to the hit anime that changed the world.

Featuring a massive roster of all the best Dragon Ball characters, embrace Arc System Works’ visual and mechanical mastery. That means every moving pixel is crafted with precision and every character design is packed with detail.

Fights are blazing with steaming action, the huge selection of Dragon Ball heroes are unique and every map offers their own unique flair. Though it shares the same core gameplay throughout all of Arc Systems’ fighting games, FighterZ pays homage to the one of a kind abilities of each character. The use of Ki lets players take advantage of their energy to attack, counterattack and break opponent combos.

It’s flashy dramatic finishes also offers a fantastic hero to hero interaction. However, its high skill ceiling may intimidate newbies that want to learn more about the game. It has a playscore of 8.51

1. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

10. Sniper Elite III Ultimate Edition

A perfect start to this list. Go back to the wondrous tragedies of the Second World War. Set in the vast dunes of North Africa, use stealth to stalk your Nazi prey under its blinding yellow skies, wait for the perfect opportunity, and shoot to kill in this critically acclaimed sniper game.
Show them who’s boss as you kill your enemies in the most gruesome ways with the return of Sniper Elite's acclaimed X-ray Kill Cam. With its improved graphics, every kill shot climaxes into a slow gorey show of blood, bone, and brain bits that will satisfy your appetite for carnage.

Despite its simplistic narrative, it manages to offer doses of good fun with it's merciless slow-motion slaughters, and layered stealth mechanics. It has a playscore of 8.09

9. Call Of Duty: Black Ops III

This third entry of the Black Ops series is set 40 years after the first game, set your sights in a dark and gritty future where humanity has blurred the lines between man and machine. With powerful weapons at hand, the countries are facing an international cold war.

Gameplay remains as slick as ever with the return of its signature shooter experience. Multiplayer is also its most loved feature. Same as a co-op mode. Team up with four of your friends in its action-packed single-player campaign. Customize them as you see fit and load them out with futuristic gear. Advanced Warfare may have exosuits, but Black Ops III has its fair share of momentum-based abilities.

Very well-received, it even outsold Advanced Warfare and Ghosts in terms of sales. However, it doesn’t offer much of anything new to the series. Although fans loved Treyarch’s dedication, this latest entry doesn’t move the series in terms of scale and grandeur. Good thing Black Ops 4 filled that hole.

It received a playscore of 8.10

8. Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Sledgehammer’s first Call of Duty game takes you to the future where Exosuits are an everyday sight and Kevin Spacey is a normal human being. It’s the year 2054 and technology has overcome society. The United States is still the world’s leading superpower but it’s met with heavy resistance from other countries also vying for supremacy. Just your typical war love story.

Filled with high-stakes action and tense drama, Advanced Warfare brings forth a new direction to the CoD series. With the addition of the Exosuit, movement is more advanced. Making players move from one place to another seamlessly and with style. Aside from that, it buffs your character to a tremendous degree.

Compared to the newer titles, this one still has a very coherent Single Player Campaign. But its main selling point is its multiplayer. It’s still similar to the previous CoD titles, but with your badass exosuit, you can unleash your high-tech carnage at your enemies.

It has a playscore of 8.29

7. Tom Clancy’s: The Division

Ubisoft’s latest IP takes players in the far future. After a terrible smallpox epidemic, follow an elite squadron of soldiers called The Division dedicated to find the mysterious source of the virus. With its sequel out now, this third-person shooter is still brimming with mad delights and post-apocalyptic mayhem.

It mixes Role Playing and Shooter in one game, plus its heavy emphasis on loots makes it share the same mechanics as Anthem, Destiny and Warframe.

The Division’s main selling point lies in its multiplayer. Go with your squad and enter the Dark Zone, a competitive arena built for intense shooting action. It’s separate from the game’s main story, making it inconsequential to your single-player adventures. If you’re still sticking to this game, it’s advisable you continue your adventures with its sequel, The Division 2.

It has a playscore of 8.32

6. Sniper Elite 4

The glorious slow mos make a return in Rebellion’s satisfying sniper game. This latest Sniper Elite title is a huge improvement compared to its predecessors, however, it was still marred with inconsistencies and lack of ‘purpose’ in its campaign. But despite its flaws, if you’re in it for the satisfying headshots, it’s still fun.

This third-person tactical shooter puts you on the shoes of a master marksman setting sights on Italian lands. But it’s not Sniper Elite without its iconic feature: Its slow-motion shots. Take down angry Nazis and criminals with precision and skill. Watch their balls explode, heads pop, skulls crack and more. It also has an increased verticality, making stealth an even more integral factor.

It has a playscore of 8.40

5. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4

Treyarch's one step closer to their futuristic shooter is taking so many risks it tried to completely remove the single-player experience and integrating a whole new multiplayer concept. Black Ops 4 was the change Call of Duty needed, but nobody seemed to appreciate it due to the high amount of first-person shooters in the market, including Battle Royales.

Reworking their health system and marking the return of the Specialists, Black Ops 4 created a multiplayer that was geared towards teamwork. Especially its Battle Royale mode, Blackout. Treyarch’s take on this trendy survival shooter genre puts players in a gritty fight to the death where they flex their skills as they remain the last team standing. With its success, it’s the only reason why most players keep coming back. Its new map, Alcatraz, brings another BR frenzy for you and your friends.

It receives a playscore of 8.41

4. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered

It’s a remaster done right, you get to see your favorite character’s face in smooth 60 frames per second with 1080p visuals. On top of that, its enhanced sound and textures make it feel like a completely new game.

Infinity Ward lets you relive the story behind Captain Price and Soap MacTavish as they survive in a grueling Civil War. Get caught in a spiral of government conspiracies and military deception because this game brings out a thought-provoking narrative about the horrors of war.

This Remastered was once part of Infinite Warfare’s release as bonus content, players were required to purchase the latest game before playing this which caused a divide in the community. Lucky for them, it’s made available to the public as a standalone title after a few months.

It has a playscore of 8.51

3. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2

UBISOFT presents the future of military shooters. After a mysterious virus takes over the world one city at a time, and it's up to Tom Clancy's Division to put a stop to the raging contagion. Taking place just 70 days after the original story, The Division 2 is set to continue the viral outbreak, this time in the familiar landscapes of Washington DC.

This sequel aims to focus on the endgame experience, which means there'll be more challenges and activities even after the main campaign. Mixing in survival elements, join the fight for resources and basic necessities in a civilization on the brink of extinction. Try out new and exotic weapons and bring your friends in for the fight against humanity’s downfall.

It has a playscore of 8.52

2. Battlefield 4

Building upon the legacy of their previous titles, DICE managed to upgrade their shooter’s best features and create something new yet familiar. After a number of updates, thousands of players still continue to play it today.

Packed with their iconic and extremely enjoyable multiplayer mode, it was one of the very first to showcase the true power of the Frostbite Engine. It makes every battlefield into a spectacular fire show. Watch towering structures fall into piles of rubbles, exploding vehicles, and heavy artillery coming at you from the distance.

But it’s not perfect. It was criticized for its lack of single-player elements due to its heavy focus on the multiplayer aspect. It was easily forgivable because the multiplayer is so good. It is a culmination of all the best features of the franchise and undoubtedly one of the greatest Battlefield games yet, with a playscore of 8.64

1. Battlefield 1

DICE’s resurgence after their Battlefront fiasco is a welcome treat. Especially when this marks a brand new beginning for the Battlefield games. This latest Battlefield title that takes you back to the dawn of war. Experience World War 1 at its peak and step into warplanes, zeppelins, trenches, tanks and a controversial addition of Female Soldiers.

Its single-player campaign packs good fun. Follow through six different chapters from various character perspectives. But we all know DICE isn’t in it for the single-player experience, we’re looking at you, EA.

Despite its imperfection, it’s still a solid successor to DICE’s long list of shooters. Especially its biggest upgrade to this franchise: its multiplayer. Gather your squad and set the battlefield ablaze in its various multiplayer modes: Conquest, Domination, Rush and more. You can even play as a Pigeon if you like.

Critics and gamers loved it for its intense action experience. Making you feel like you’re in the middle of a warzone. It has a playscore of 8.81

Top 10 PS4 Military Shooters of All Time

Make some space on your Switch open world list as VBlank Entertainment announces a May 7th release date for their 16-bit RPG, Shakedown Hawaii. Initially projected to release way back in 2017, the wait has been long but fruitful for this follow-up to the action Retro City Rampage. This announcement was accompanied by a brand new trailer. Fast forwarding to 30 years into the future of Retro City Rampage, it’s a huge upgrade from the original, most notably in its substantially larger tropical Hawaii setting.

Their trailer playfully parodies the era with chiptune music and a characteristically earnest voiceover. Running on the saying "Business in the front and bodies in the back," gameplay will be a mix of business meetings and crafty competition, with of course a serving shootouts, explosions, and overall criminal mayhem. For what looks like the old-school Grand Theft Auto, Shakedown Hawaii boasts an impressive level freedom in its top-down perspective with an open world of destructible environments and fully customizable characters and cars.

Shakedown Hawaii is also set to release on the PC, PS4, and PS Vita on the same date. A version for both the new and original 3DS versions will arrive shortly after.

Adding to our list of upcoming Xbox One games, Curve Digital is set to bring IronOak Games' strategic role-playing game to the console this May 10th, with a 20% launch discount to boot.

Revolving around the fictional world of Fahrul after the murder of their King, the game has around six campaign modes with combat that puts a twist on the classic turn-based battles of JRPGs. What is most captivating about the game--aside from the friendly-looking polygons of their cartoon 3D aesthetic--is their co-op feature which lets you share the adventure with friends.

For the King is already enjoying a decent playscore on the PC. Described as a blend of tabletop and roguelike elements, For The King draws people in with visuals but if their PC reviews are anything to go by, it hides an almost punishing quality beneath the surface. Much like other roguelike games, For the King also has permadeath which might be a little too frustrating for newbie (and even veteran) strategists.

For the King will also be releasing, also with a 20% launch discount, on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on May 7th and May 9th, respectively.

15. Tearaway Unfolded

A followup to a most beloved platformer on the PS Vita. This installment sees the Tearaway series renewing their PlayStation loyalties, still remaining as the console's royalty platformers. Crafting new innovations with the PS4's Dualshock 4, the controller's touchpad and gyro come to full use in their magical paper world. Telling the delightful story of a messenger on a journey across the pages, Unfolded preserves the charm of the original while maximizing the potential of its new home console. With everything from companion apps, cameras, and new content, it's as enchanting as ever with a playscore of 8.39

14. Alienation

Housemarque has had a specialty in satisfying shooting. From titles like Dead Nation, Super Stardust Delta, and Resogun — they distilled all their expertise into the addictive delights of this RPG shoot em up. Mirroring the isometric perspective of classic titles, Alienation still thrives in the PS4 despite their simple visuals. With the help of their precise controls, weapon varieties, loot-gathering, and cooperative gameplay, it coalesces into an overall fun shooter that succeeds in the mess of chaos, and the details of progression and replayability. A feast for the eyes, it gets a score of 8.44

13. The Last Guardian

Breaking through the ten year long spell of obstacles and delays, Team Ico managed to hold on to deliver this spectacle of an action adventure. The third of its kind from the mastermind Fumito Ueda, The Last Guardian shares similarities with his equally magnificent works Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Following the emotional adventures of a young boy and his giant pet Trico, it shows off its artistry in their open outdoors environments and subtle undertones of its symbolic storytelling. Made over ten years, the Last Guardian has plenty of lows in its iffy camera and wonky controls, but it all culminates into something ultimately beautiful. A playscore of 8.5

12. Until Dawn

Supermassive Games’ slasher horror video game takes you on a different kind of adventure. Following Eight friends trapped in a remote mountain retreat cabin, help them make consequential decisions that either lead them to doom or salvation. The game takes pages off the old horror playbook, bringing to the mind the classic tropes that has powered the genre through the years. Until Dawn puts players at the driver's seat of the plot. The experience isn't perfect however as Critics cite the game's awkward controls and unfocused narrative. On the other hand, it offers an experience that Telltale and other adventure games can only aspire to. It has a playscore of 8.59

11. InFamous: Second Son

The third main installment to Sucker Punch's action adventure slash platformer. Delsin is back, and with him all the powers from that fateful event as well all the government baddies out to get him. First released in 2014, Second Son's visuals were an impressive feat for its time. It signalled the rise of a new generation with their combat, varied open world gameplay, and the duality system that lets players craft their own paths good or bad. But, best of all, Second Son is just..fun, especially with the likeable graffiti artist in the lead. Ushering a new era in gaming, it has a playscore of 8.61

10. MLB The Show 19

The last few MLB titles might've sowed some doubt in the series, this latest installment brings it back on the up and up. With Bryce Harper on the cover, MLB 19 overhauls the arguably lacking looks and gameplay of last season. It also adds new sparks to the pitch with new game modes like March to October where you bring your team to the World Series; as well as Moments, that lets you relive the best of baseball history. While it doesn't introduce too many innovations--especially in the overlooked Franchise mode--the refinements to their existing content creates a baseball experience worthy of the series. It has a playscore of 8.7

9. Gravity Rush 2

The grand sequel to the world-bending game on the PS Vita. Bringing forth our love for the adrenaline rush of free falls, Gravity Rush 2 takes the series to new heights. With a scale much bigger than the original, this sequel lets you immerse in the comic book environments and activities as you take on the shoes of Kat, Raven, and Syd. Continuing on the events of last game, the main story is packed with their engrossing narratives and satisfying combat--taking you even deeper to the sights of their world. It has a playscore of 8.73

8. Detroit: Become Human

From the team that gave us Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls, Quantic Dream goes beyond the supernatural to dive deeper into the realm of Artificial Intelligence and science fiction. Set in a distant cyberpunk future where lifelike Androids dominate the world, players get to assume the role of three such androids and decide their destinies by virtue of their choices. Similar to most of Quantic Dreams games, the stakes are high and each choice will define the ending for each player. While some paths are better than others, Detroit Become Human offers a well-written narrative experience in general and it's a an awesome recent addition to the PS4's lineup. It has a playscore of 8.76
