<h2>1. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-walking-dead-saints-and-sinners/" title="">The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners</a></h2>

The Walking Dead series is rife with VR ideas. Unlike <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-walking-dead-onslaught/" title="The Walking Dead Onslaught PC">The Walking Dead Onslaught</a> which will release later this year, this one from <a href="" title="">Skydance Interactive</a> doesn't have anything to do with the popular AMC series. Instead, it takes inspiration from the comic books to create an all-new experience. Saints & Sinner, like most zombie games, is also a shooter but it's set in an open world environment.

Within this vast world, it will have over 15 hours of gameplay, which is ambitious considering the constraints of the platform. Basing off of what their developers say, it feels like there's a lot of emergent gameplay to prepare for.

It's set to release soon on January 23rd.

<h2>2. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/marvels-iron-man-vr/" title="">Marvel's Iron Man VR</a></h2>

Tony Stark's legacy continues to live on, at least out of Marvel's cinematic universe. Taking on the adventures of the high-flying Avenger is a feat on the platform, considering the VR's occasionally dizzying patterns. But, seeing the feedback from the trailers and especially from gamers who experienced the demo, this Iron Man VR is a promising title.

Put on the famous Iron Man suit and fly through the skies in battles with drones, and a "ghost" from Tony's past. The voice and face behind the iconic suit may be unfamiliar to us compared to RDJ's famous portrayal, but it seems like he still has the biting wit that we've come to love.

Marvel's Iron Man VR by <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/camouflaj/" title="Camouflaj">Camouflaj</a> may not be a full-on Iron Man title, but, it's the closest we'll have yet and it's coming out on February 28th.

<h2>3. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/paper-beast/" title="Paper Beast PSVR">Paper Beast</a></h2>

The great about Virtual Reality games is that it doesn't always have to BE reality. Paper Beast, the latest title from the creator of 90s titles like <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/another-world-20th-anniversary-edition/" title="Another World Ps4">Another World</a> and Heart of Darkness, Eric Chahi, makes use of that to create a game that's about origami wildlife as much as it is about math and data.

For Chahi, he created an ecosystem that thrives on its own, deriving life from information and the many anomalies that can exist within it. It's definitely experimental and their trailers suggest that it has that intersection of weird and immersive that makes it perfect for the platform.

Clearly, a lot of poetry was involved in creating this would-be masterpiece and hopefully it'll all be clear when it releases early next year.

<h2>4. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/solaris-offworld-combat/" title="Solaris Offworld Combat VR PC">Solaris: Offworld Combat VR on PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/solaris-offworld-combat/" title="Solaris Offworld Combat PSVR">PS4</a></h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/first-contact-entertainment/" title="First Contact Entertainment">First Contact Entertainment</a> already impressed us with 2018's <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/firewall-zero-hour/" title="Firewall Zero Hour">Firewall: Zero Hour</a>. And next year, they're hoping to do it all over again with this brand new multiplayer shooter. Hoping to live up to games like Quake, Solaris will feature a fast-paced 4-against-4 gameplay where you crash into weapons and get ready to shoot it out.

Solaris will also have dedicated servers from Day One, which is something that bothered a lot of players of the studios' previous title. There really isn't much in the way of gameplay so far, but their videos have done enough to stoke excitement for the upcoming game.

It's coming out on the Oculus Quest, Rift, and PSVR in 2020.

<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-wizards-dark-times/" title="The Wizards Dark Times PC">The Wizards – Dark Times on PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/the-wizards-dark-times/" title="The Wizards Dark Times PS4">PS4</a></h2>

Our next game may had its roots in a magic-based wave shooter called <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-wizards/" title="The Wizards">The Wizards</a>, their standalone expansion is a whole lot more different than you'd expect.

Working on feedback from their original game, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/carbon-studio/" title="Carbon Studio">Carbon Studio</a> takes players to a completely new era, packed with new enemies and allies, and sprinkled with improvements to UI and gestures. This means that casting refreshed arsenal of cool spells will be a breeze against the many enemies you'll face.

Some might say it's not the most tactically deep VR game in terms of combat. With this expansion, though, Carbon Studio shows just how much they care about putting out a good game.

It's set to release sometime in 2020.

<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/lone-echo-ii/" title="Lone Echo 2">Lone Echo 2</a></h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/lone-echo/" title="Lone Echo">Lone Echo</a> was one of the most impressive titles in the early VR stages and its definitely one that deserves a spanking new sequel. Still in the outer reaches of space, Lone Echo 2 finds us reentering the rings of Saturn in a journey that will take us past the wishy-washy boundaries of time.

Set 400 years into the future of the first game, not a lot will be familiar to you but it's going to be fascinating to uncover what's happened since then. One of the strongest features of the first game was their beautiful visuals. That kind of quality is clearly still true in this upcoming sequel from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/ready-at-dawn/" title="Ready at Dawn Studios LLC">Ready at Dawn</a>.

It's set to release on the Oculus Rift early next year.

<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-room-vr-a-dark-matter/" title="The Room VR Dark Matter PC">The Room VR: Dark Matter on PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/the-room-vr-a-dark-matter/" title="The Room VR Dark MAtter PSVR">PS4</a></h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-room/" title="The Room PC">The Room</a> has been doling out immersive puzzle-solving for years. Now they're finally dipping their toes into the world of VR and it's an exciting prospect for fans of the series, as well as for puzzle fans on the platform. Setting up shop in almost all available platforms--from the Rift, Quest, and PSVR, to the HTC Vive, Valve Index, and Windows Mixed Reality--<a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/fireproof-games/" title="Fireproof Games">Fireproof Games</a> is dedicated to bringing the experience to everyone.

Travel to 1908 London and be prepared to solve the mysteries inside the British Museum. Leave no stone unturned in your quest for clues that's going to be more tactile than ever before.

It's coming out early next year.

<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/boiling-steel/" title="Boiling Steel PSVR">Boiling Steel</a></h2>

Another entry in the list of upcoming sci-fi shooters, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/mirowin/" title="MIROWIN">MIROWIN's</a> Boiling Steel takes us to a world of robots vs robots. Marketing itself as a VR shooter with an intriguing storyline, players get sent to a dog eat dog world a thousand light-years away from home.

It's currently in its Alpha stage and they've invited everyone to take a look at their progress so far. For now, it's still pretty gritty. There's a lot of recycled assets and nothing much to distinguish it from all other shooters.

Here's hoping things start looking up in the meantime as it gets a release window of 2nd quarter of 2020.

<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/espire-1-vr-operative/" title="Espire 1 VR Operative">Espire 1: VR Operative</a></h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/tripwire-interactive/">Tripwire Interactive</a> is also showing their VR project and it’s turning out like a videogame from the future. Like Dishonored meets Warframe, enjoy a futuristic stealth experience where you control drone operators from the future.

It's a stealth VR game and its features already distinguishes it from most VR games today. For one, you'll get to roam freely around their environments which makes it easier to perform stealth attacks and opens up a variety of killing methods. Espire also takes stealth to a new level with built-in voice control that means they can hear you too.

All that plus the promise of smart enemy AI, Espire 1 is surely one to watch out and it's set to on June 30, next year.

<h2>10. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/firmament/" title="Firmament PC">Firmament on PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/firmament/" title="Firmament PSVR">PS4</a></h2>

Kickstarter may be getting a new feather on its cap with this new title coming from the makers of Myst and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/riven-the-sequel-to-myst/" title="Riven">Riven</a>. Reaching their goal of 1.3 million dollars, <a href="Cyan Worlds">Cyan Worlds</a> is set to wow us with their anticiapted narrative adventure.

Created using the Unreal Engine 4, we know its steampunk locations and lore are gonna look jaw-dropping, especially on the VR. We only have a teaser trailer so far. However, their constant updates let us know that its gonna be world navigated through an evolving gesture-based communication with a trusty adjunct sidekick.

With a music team led by Emmy-winning Russell Brower as the cherry on top of their already delicious looking title, Firmament is looking pretty good indeed and it's coming out on the Rift, Vive, Index, and PSVR on July 2020.

<h2>11. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/prism-break/" title="RoboCats">RoboCats</a></h2>

You can tell from their title that it's not really something that takes itself too seriously. It's pretty straightforward. You are robot cats and you pass the time by punching blocks and dodging walls.

The main element here is fun, and you can do that by sharing the virtual world with a bunch of other bored friends. Judging from their videos, watching other people play is just as fun as the game itself.

It's simple, casual VR fun by <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/virtual-world-arcade/">Virtual World Arcade</a> and it's coming out on the Valve Index, Vive, and Windows Mixed Reality on November 2nd next year.

<h2>12. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/boneworks/" title="Boneworks">Boneworks</a></h2>

VR is an experiment in itself and with this coming action title, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/stress-level-zero/" title="Stress Level Zero">Stress Level Zero</a> is testing the limits of physics in virtual reality. It's an action-packed title as you pick up various weapons and tools from the game's environment and use them against enemies in creative ways.

From guns to crowbars and swords and even potted plants. There's a lot in Boneworks' arsenal and using them looks satisfyingly fluid and realistic. Headbutt drones, pierce em and fling em around as you will.

To spice up the experiment, Boneworks is set in a world that feels like a Half Life revival. It just might be the next level in VR development, and hopefully, we'll know more from it through the year as it's coming out in the fourth quarter of 2020.

<h2>13. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/after-the-fall/" title="After The Fall PC">After The Fall on PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/after-the-fall/" title="After The Fall PSVR">PS4</a></h2>

Long-time VR fans might just be getting wishes with this new title from the makers of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/arizona-sunshine/">Arizona Sunshine</a>. What with the success of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/vertigo-games/" title="Vertigo Games">Vertigo</a>'s previous hit, a lot of people are already expecting After the Fall to be just as awesome. Still a first-person action shooter, After the Fall explores a fight for survival in a hostile, ice-covered apocalypse set in 80s Los Angeles.

The gameplay looks like it's gonna take a wild turn, and the infected zombies have gotten bigger too. Following these features, After the Fall will also have multiplayer elements that will definitely make the shooting even more interesting.

It's coming out sometime in 2020.

<h2>14. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/medal-of-honor-above-and-beyond/" title="Medal of Honor Above and Beyond">Medal of Honor: Above & Beyond</a></h2>

Ok so the FPS VR fatigue might be settling in by now, but trust me, if there's one FPS title you wanna see, it's this. Not only is this a long-awaited new entry to the Medal of Honor series, but it's also gonna come from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/respawn-entertainment/" title="Respawn Entertainemnt">the same people who brought us Titanfall and Apex Legends</a>. It's two legends coming into one and they definitely went above and beyond.

Yes, Medal of Honor as a VR game is about action on the frontlines of World War II. But, it's also about immersion and interactivity. That means getting to interact with various objects, and also not having a single breathing moment on the battefield.

It's set to release sometime in 2020.

<h2>15. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/low-fi/" title="Low Fi PC">Low-Fi on PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/low-fi/" title="Low Fi PSVR">PS4</a></h2>

From the realism of war to a dystopian cyberpunk future. Cyberpunk has been on the rise these days, and Low-Fi is cashing in. Out of all the titles based on the genre, Low-Fi definitely nails the Blade Runner aesthetics. From dark, towering, edifices, to the streaks of consumerist neon, and high flying cars.

It's a spiritual successor to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/iris-vr/">IRIS VR</a>'s own Technolust. But, instead of being a linear experience, LOW-FI expands the premise into a massive, interactive open world. As part of law enforcement, you'll get to call the shots on what to do next. Whether its criminal investigation or actual criminal activity. The cyberpunk competition is tough these days but this is definitely a dream come true for Blade Runner fans.

It's set to release in 2020.

There are a few virtual reality games coming to the PSVR, Oculus, and HTC Vive next here and we've picked out the 15 most anticipated titles. These are the best VR games that are coming in 2020.

<h2>1. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/dragon-ball-game-project-z/" title="Dragon Ball Z Kakarot on PC">Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot</a></h2>

If there's one thing <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/bandai-namco-entertainment-inc/" title="Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc">Bandai Namco</a> is known for, it's their anime entertainment. And their biggest treat for us next year is this retelling of one of the most popular arcs in Dragon Ball History. Now, being one of the most popular arcs, this isn't the first time we're experiencing this story.

Bandai Namco, though, assures all of us that it'll still be a fresh experience thanks to an array of improvements on gameplay and visuals. Their recent announcements have revealed that beloved characters like Cell, Gohan, and so much more, will be joining in the adventure.

It's coming out on Jan 17th

<h2>2. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/ori-and-the-will-of-the-wisps/" title="Ori and the Will of the Wisps on PC">Ori And The Will Of The Wisps</a></h2>

Microsoft made one of their best moves ever when they acquired this metroidvania platformer from developer <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/moon-game-studios/" title="Moon Game Studios">Moon Game Studios</a>. Since then, Ori has been the gift that keeps on giving, especially this time with a fresh new sequel coming out. In Will of the Wisps, we'll get to see Ori venturing out from their original magical forest to forge adventures in the world beyond.

It's been a long journey for the title, and from what we've seen from all their E3 presentations, it still feels like the same majestic, challenging, and tear-jerking platformer. But, of course, with more nimble movements and a host of new enemies to take down.

We'll finally get to see it live this February 11th, 2020.

<h2>3. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/watch-dogs-legion/" title="Watch Dogs Legion on PC">Watch Dogs: Legion</a></h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/ubisoft/" title="Ubisoft">Ubisoft</a> has a lot on their plate but they're planning to serve us another side of revolution in this latest installment to their Watch Dogs series. With Legion, they're definitely pulling out all the stops as they expand on the idea of open-world by eliminating all NPCs. That's because Watch Dogs Legion lets players take on absolutely anyone who chooses to take part in the rising revolution. It's rife with technological innovations and it promises variety in terms of experience and gameplay.

Ambitious is one way to describe it and we're hoping to see it on March 6th

<h2>4. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/doom-eternal/" title="Doom Eternal on PC">Doom Eternal</a></h2>

We were all a little bit disappointed when <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/id-software/" title="id Software">id Software</a> moved their brand new Doom title from its November release date. Still, it's always a good move for games to be given more time in the oven. That's especially true given the scale of Doom Eternal.

Spreading out of the realms of hell, the iconic Demon slayer is broadening his horizons. Not only is he bringing the fight to the equally garish monsters of the pearly gates, he's also going for a lot of new mobility at his disposal. And to add to the beloved single-player campaign, Eternal will also have multiplayer invasions where players get to play the Demons themselves.

That's a lot of new features, and we can't wait to finally try it out on March 20, 2020

<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/vampire-the-masquerade-bloodlines-2/" title="Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2 on PC">Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2</a></h2>

t's been more than a few decades since <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/vampire-the-masquerade-bloodlines/" title="Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines on PC">Vampire the Masquerade</a> landed on the PC in 2004. 15 years later, the cult classic is getting a new lease on life and we're gonna get to experience the nocturnal adventures once again. Still set in the 21st century, Continue your vampiric adventures and settle into underworld gloom of nighttime Seattle.

Choices still play a massive part of gameplay, and it comes out through your character’s backgrounds, as well as the decisions you make in the various dialogs and interactions. All that is important when there are factions vying for your loyalty-----including the fan favorite Malkavians.

It's set to release on March 2020.

<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/mount-and-blade-ii-bannerlord/" title="Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord">Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord</a></h2>

Now, this isn't a official release yet, but it's the most we're gonna see from this title in over ten years and we're definitely not missing out on it. It was only last August when <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/taleworlds-entertainment/" title="TaleWorlds Entertainment">TaleWorlds Entertainment</a> announced this Early Access release. Sure, it's no official release date. But, with this Early Access announcement is a promise that we'll get to see the fruit of what seems to be a decade-long labor.

There's been plenty of medieval playgrounds available through the years, and it's only kept us wondering what Mount & Blade II will have in store for us. It probably won't be perfect at the outset. However, from what we saw in their campaign overviews, siege defences, and faction overviews, the March 2020 Early Access is gonna be one hell of a treat.

<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/cyberpunk-2077/" title="Cyberpunk 2077">Cyberpunk 2077</a></h2>

Perhaps one of the biggest titles to look forward to next year is the newest IP from Witcher developers <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/cd-projekt-red/" title="CD Projekt RED">CD Projekt Red</a>. If their success with their fantasy action RPG is any indication, Cyberpunk 2077 might just be their most ambitious game yet. Then again, why rely on speculation when we have a 48 minute gameplay walkthrough to drool over.

Create everything about your character, from their appearance, stats, background stories, and modifications. And then roam around Night City where Big Corporation is law. Dystopia might not be so screenshot friendly. Cyberpunk 2077 is still expected to set a new bar for the open world, with seamless exploration and vibrant populations.

It's set to release on April 16th, 2020

<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-avengers-project/" title="Marvels Avengers on PC">Marvel's Avengers</a></h2>

Marvel is a force in the box offices, and now they're setting their sights on videogames once more. What might be a little sad is the fact that the videogame counterparts of our favorite characters don't match the faces we got used to in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But, that doesn't make Marvel's Avengers any less of a big deal. While it's not connected to the MCU, it is developed by the same studio that brought us the rebooted Tomb Raider series. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/crystal-dynamics/" title="Crystal Dynamics">Crystal Dyanamics</a> is promising to redefine the superhero genre. Other than teaming up with other icons and mastering their individual abilities, we'll also get to witness an original story in their protagonist, Kamala Khan.

It's set to release on May 15th 2020.

<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/dying-light-2/" title="Dying Light 2 on PC">Dying Light 2</a></h2>

A series built on combat, graphics, co-op multiplayer, and a day and night cycle, Dying Light 2 stands firms on all those aspects in this second installment. What makes this sequel exciting is the added focus on player choices.

Building on a brand new engine, The City in Dying Light 2, isn't just four times bigger, it will also react to whatever decisions you make along the way. With so many of them planted into a more focused narrative, they open up a host of possibilities that will make each playthrough feel special. And with the added mobility of the new protagonist, Aiden Caldwell, it also means more ways of dealing with the zombies of the night.

It's set to release this Spring 2020

<h2>10. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/minecraft-dungeons/" title="Minecraft Dungeons on PC">Minecraft: Dungeons</a></h2>

Minecraft, like its many universes is an ever growing franchise and it looks they're expanding into the RPG realm now too, taking notes from classics like the Diablo series. While it's still largely voxel based, Minecraft Dungeons veers away from their usual first-person style adventures. It dons the familiar isometric perspective, immersing players fully into the dungeon-crawling we loved and still love today.

Minecraft Dungeons will have a multiplayer mode which lets up to four players team up in local and online co-op.It may not be Diablo 4, but from the looks of the trailer alone, it already seems like a promising lovechild of the two massively popular franchises.

It’s set to release sometime in Spring 2020.

<h2>11. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/tom-clancys-rainbow-six-quarantine/" title="Tom Clancys Rainbow Six Quarantine on PC">Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Quarantine</a></h2>

<a hrf="https://whatoplay.com/developers/ubisoft-montreal/" title="Ubisoft Montreal">Ubisoft</a>'s Tom Clancy series is taking on something kind of new. Set several years into the future of their Rainbow Six series, Quarantine explores the team's fight against a mutating alien parasite. From their teaser trailers, we know it's going to have a lot of adrenaline pumping scares in their isolating halls.

While the classic Tom Clancy FPS features will make their return, Rainbow Six Quarantine is said to show off a brand new 3 player co-op, letting you get into gunplay and tactics with two other friends. We haven’t seen much of that though, since it’s all been teasers so far.

Even if you're not a Rainbow Six player, Ubisoft Montreal assures you that Quarantine will be a good place to start for the series. It's set to release Early next year.

<h2>12. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/halo-infinite/" title="Halo Infinite on PC">Halo Infinite</a></h2>

The return of Master Chief is exciting for all the fans of Microsoft's Halo series. While it was first announced in E3 2018, we finally got a lengthier dose of the title in E3 2019 with their 5 minute cinematic.

As for gameplay is concerned, on the other hand, we don't have much to go on yet. What we do know is that Halo Infinite will definitely put Master Chief center stage for a story that's as yet unknown to us. We won't be getting a Battle Royale mode, unlike all the other games, that’s also for sure. And though there are talks of a local four-player splitscreen multiplayer, there aren't any confirmation on whether it'll apply on the PC. We'll have to stand by for more news until its release right in time for the holidays next year.

<h2>13. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/humankindtm/" title="Humankind on PC">Humankind</a></h2>

If there's one thing that's big on the PC, it's 4X strategies. And this time, SEGA takes a shot at it with a game that isn't subtle about their Civilization inspirations. Developed by the same minds as the impressive 4X fantasy strategy, Endless Legend, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/amplitude-studios/" title="Amplitude Studios">AMPLITUDE Studios</a> is taking on Human History.

Titled Humankind, it's definitely more than just a Civ clone as it brings to the fore all the things that <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/endless-legend/" title="Endless Legend on PC">Endless Legend</a> a modern classic is while showing off an array of innovative new features. Instead of just sticking to one civilization, Humankind will allow us to go through six different eras from our own history.

Calling it their Magnum Opus, there's a lot of hype for Amplitude Studios' next game and it's coming out sometime in 2020.

<h2>14. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/tales-of-arise/" title="Tales of Arise n PC">Tales of Arise</a></h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/bandai-namco-studios/" title=" Bandai Namco Studios">Bandai Namco</a>’s latest Tales game veers away from the shared universe of the previous titles. For the first time in a long time, Arise takes you into a whole new world torn apart by ideologies.

Still embracing that fantasy charm, play as two characters with the same goal of uniting their divided world once and for all. Aside from an original world, Arise also features a fresh cast of characters that are as memorable as any other Tales games out there. In addition to that, its improvement of the Linear Motion Battle System makes combat even more satisfying.

It’s set to release sometime in 2020

<h2>15. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/total-war-saga-troy/" title="Total War Saga Troy on PC">Total War Saga: Troy</a></h2>

Rage—Goddess, sing the rage of Peleus' son Achilles.

Where Humankind takes up the human history mantle, the veterans of the strategy genre are taking a turn for the mythical. With Total War Saga, the series explores the events of the Trojan War through the arguably blind eyes of the great poet Homer. That means we'll get to see Ajax, Paris, and the legendary faceoff of Achiless and Hector. All of it in in the long-running fight for the treasures of Troy and the return of Menelaus' beautiful wife Helen.

We've already seen some features of the map in their Campaign reveal but we're awaiting see a whole lot more. Announced very recently this year, we'll have to expect it sometime in 2020.

2020 is gonna be a big year for games and that goes for the PC too. These are our picks for the biggest, Triple A titles that are coming to the PC next year.

15 Upcoming PC AAA Games of 2020

As if there was any doubt. Kojima’s upcoming video game is making its way to the PC this Summer 2020. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/death-stranding/">Death Stranding</a>, widely speculated as a Sony Exclusive, has recently announced to come out on PC. It was announced via tweet on the Twitter page from the official <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/kojima-productions/">Kojima Productions</a> account.

It is likely to be the first time a game created by the <a href="https://www.guerrilla-games.com/read/decima">Decima Engine</a> is coming out for the PC. Decima, being <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/horizon-zero-dawn/">Horizon Zero Dawn</a>’s proprietary game engine, is the powerhouse behind Death Stranding’s breathtaking visuals.

Moments after the announcement, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/505-games/">505 Games</a>, which recently published Remedy’s <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/control/">Control</a> on PC, will be involved with the game’s publishing rights for the PC release. Their statement follows, ““We are extremely excited and honored to be working with the supremely talented team at Kojima Productions and to bring Death Stranding to PC gamers around the world,” said 505 Games co-founder and CEO Raffi Galante in a press release. “Death Stranding will take gamers through a completely original experience that will delight PC gamers everywhere.”

No word yet on which launcher it will use, but 505’s recent entries were available on the Epic Game Store.

The game remains a mystery as of the moment. Mr. Kojima, however, shared bits and pieces about its scope. He says that ““Death Stranding” is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the “Strand” or connection”

Death Stranding is coming out for the PlayStation 4 this November 8, 2019.

<h2>1. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/doom-eternal/">Doom Eternal</a></h2>

Originally planned to release this November, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/id-software/">id Software</a>’s next adventure of the legendary Doomguy comes out early next year and he’s gearing up for some serious pandemonium.

Raze hell as you rip and tear the demons to shreds with your arsenal of powerful gear. Whether it’s splitting apart an enemy with a massive chainsaw or blowing them up with a shotgun right at their faces, Eternal has everything you need for some sweet badassery. Continuing to redefine the first-person shooter genre, Eternal improves its brutal shooting mechanics with more movement and freedom, making it easier to move between dimensions in its now expanded world.

Hell awaits you this March 20, 2020.

<h2>2. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/animal-crossing-new-horizons/">Animal Crossing: New Horizons</a></h2>

Juxtaposing Doom’s demonic bloodbath, Nintendo’s very own farm simulator lets you live a refreshing life. Finally making a debut to the Switch, this latest title takes you into a whole new world free from the modern life woes. With more freedom at your disposal, New Horizons is a paradise of peace and serenity. Embrace that rural life as you collect resources and use your green thumb to cultivate plants and trees.

Make some new friends and get to meet some familiar faces in the Animal Crossing universe. There’s so much to do in this living and breathing world and it’s coming out on the same day as Doom Eternal’s release date, March 20, 2020.

<h2>3. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/trials-of-mana/">Trials Of Mana</a></h2>

Fans of the Seiken Densetsu series, especially those in the West, have more reason to rejoice. Trials of Mana, or Seiken Densetsu 3, is coming out to the Switch for the first time and it is a remake of the 1995 classic JRPG that first released on the Super Famicom.

What makes this special isn’t just that it’s been rebuilt from the ground up to give it a full 3D makeover. But, it’s the fact that this will be the first time that this particular installment will have localization for Western fans. The story is unchanged, but experiencing it again or for the first time with enhanced sound, visuals and combat makes everything worthwhile. Coming this April 24, 2020.

<h2>4. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/persona-5-scramble-the-phantom-strikers/">Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers</a></h2>

It’s unfortunate we never get to see Persona 5 getting ported to the Switch in the near future, but this spin-off is Nintendo’s very own Persona 5 experience, although it’s not what you think it is. ATLUS, knowing their numerous spin-offs, takes you to the lives of the Phantom Thieves once again but instead of raiding palaces and stealing people’s hearts, it’s a must title.

Made from the company that gave us the iconic Dynasty Warriors title, go all out as you pick from the wide cast of characters from Persona 5 and duke it out with hundreds of Shadows. Not many details are known so far, but it’s set to release sometime this Spring 2020.

<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/minecraft-dungeons/">Minecraft Dungeons</a></h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/mojang/" title="Mojang">Mojang</a>’s voxel-based universe continues to evolve. This brand new Minecraft title isn’t all about collecting polygonal shapes anymore, it’s an action-adventure that takes its inspiration from notable dungeon-crawling RPGs like Diablo and Divinity.

Personalize your character and ready yourself as you dive into a treacherous dungeon filled with monsters you’ve come to expect and more in a Minecraft game. Gather some buddies online and work together as you stop the evil Arch-Illager. The base-building feature may be gone, but the endless supply of Minecraft fun still lives on.

It comes out sometime this second quarter of 2020.

<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/digimon-survive/">Digimon Survive</a></h2>

And speaking of evolving, the Digimon games have come a long way and this latest title adds more flavor to the already interesting concept of these virtual monsters. Digimon Survive takes you into an unfamiliar world where danger lurks in every corner.

Find your way out and use the power of these unique Monsters to fight and survive in this anomalous plane. For the first time in the series, choices will affect the story. Each decision will impact your monster's evolution and ultimately, the game’s ending.

No release date yet but it’s slated for a 2020 release.

<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/lego-star-wars-the-skywalker-saga/">LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga</a></h2>

The Skywalker Saga is finally coming to a close and it’s the perfect opportunity for LEGO to give us a much-needed rundown of George Lucas’ critically acclaimed space opera. This massive collection features all NINE Star Wars chapters all packed into one cartridge. Relive Darth Vader’s story in the prequels or witness Kylo Ren’s rise and fall in the new trilogy all told in classic LEGO humor.

Fans of both Star Wars and LEGO might find this collection worth it due to its insane amount of content. There’s nothing more satisfying than building LEGO blocks using the power of the force. Coming sometime this 2020.

<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/lego-star-wars-the-skywalker-saga/">Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy</a></h2>

The saga might be reaching a close, but the games remain timeless. This cult classic Star Wars title from 2003 makes its huge appearance on the Nintendo Switch. Coming alongside Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy takes you into the shoes of an eager student determined to learn the path of the Jedi. Customize your hero and forge your own Lightsaber.

Not only does this port feature the nostalgic campaign, it also comes with the return of online multiplayer battles, engage in classic Lightsaber and Force battles with your friends. Coming sometime this 2020.

<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/spongebob-squarepants-battle-for-bikini-bottom-rehydrated/" title="SpongeBob SquarePants Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated on Switch">SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated</a></h2>

Following the recent trend of cult classics making a comeback, this Rehydrated version of the 2003 title puts you into the familiar shoes of Spongebob and his Bikini Bottom buddies as they gear up and defeat Plankton’s robotic army.

Rebuilt from the ground up, this Remake by <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/purple-lamp-studios/" title="Purple Lamp Studios"> Purple Lamp Studios</a> features improved visuals and sound. It’s a completely refreshing experience, taking you once again into the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360 days. For those who missed out on this classic, it’s the perfect time to dive right in.

No release date yet, but it’s scheduled for a 2020 release.

<h2>10. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/one-piece-pirate-warriors-4/" title="One Piece Pirate Warrriors 4 on Switch">One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4</a></h2>

Another Musou game coming out for the Nintendo Switch. Return to the high seas in Koei Tecmo’s Warriors-like One Piece experience. Similar to Pirate Warriors, control numerous One Piece characters including Luffy, Zorro, and more as they repel a massive horde of enemies in satisfying hack and slash combat.

Given the short reveal trailer, we know little about the game’s new content and mechanics. However, one thing we know is that it covers notable arcs from the One Piece anime instead of telling an original story.
It comes out sometime this 2020.

<h2>11. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/rune-factory-5/" title="Rune Factory 5 on Switch">Rune Factory 5</a></h2>

The Switch is slowly turning into a haven of simulation titles and it’s no surprise the latest Rune Factory game is coming to the hybrid console. Coming back 13 years after its release on the Nintendo DS, Rune Factory 5 is the series’ return to form in terms of storytelling and simulation.

We only have a teaser as of the moment so we’re low on information. The series is notably known for its mix of genres, this latest title from Marvelous lets you manage your own life. Go from simple farming and into dungeon-crawling adventure as this game mixes numerous genres together. When everything sounds boring, you could find a partner to romance with. It comes out sometime this 2020.

<h2>12. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/the-outer-worlds/">The Outer Worlds</a></h2>

The team behind the legendary <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/fallout-new-vegas/" title="Fallout New Vegas on PC">Fallout: New Vegas</a> extends their support to the Nintendo Switch with this brand-new first-person shooter sci-fi open-world RPG. Set in the near future where big-budget companies control the galaxy, it’s up to your choices that will shape the future of this world. Every decision matters and it will impact the game’s story and ending.

The Switch’s hardware may be limiting, but this RPG-shooter is in good hands considering <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/obsidian/" title="Obsidian Entertainments">Obsidian Entertainment</a>’s reputation. Sadly, it doesn’t come out alongside its Console and PC versions.

It’s expected to come out sometime next year.

<h2>13. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-2/" title=" The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2">The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild (Sequel)</a></h2>

The <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild/">original Breath of the Wild</a> was a masterpiece, racking up numerous Game of the Year awards and being hailed as one of the greatest open-world games of all time. After releasing a cryptic trailer in E3 2019, Nintendo continues to push the boundaries of the Switch and the Zelda franchise into greater heights.

Still unknown on what the game is all about, this sequel is already in active development. No one knows about its gameplay or story, but its reveal trailer poses some lingering questions about Ganon and the future of Hyrule. No release date yet.

<h2>14. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/bayonetta-3/">Bayonetta 3</a></h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/platinum-games/">PlatinumGames</a>’ titular Witch is back but after its release date moved from 2019 to TBA, we might have to wait a little while longer before its imminent release on Nintendo's hybrid console. Known for its exhilarating hack and slash combat with time-manipulating abilities, Bayonetta is Platinum’s very own Devil May Cry.

Unfortunately, the game is still a mystery considering we only got one reveal trailer so far and it looks like it’s not good news for our iconic character. We’re as excited as you are, but sadly, there is no release date yet.

<h2>15. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/shin-megami-tensei-v/">Shin Megami Tensei V</a></h2>

Everyone knows that this is the original Persona without the dating sims and cute anime characters. Of all the upcoming Nintendo Switch titles, this one remains a huge mystery. The first trailer came out 2 years ago and up until now, there’s no word about this iconic JRPG.

What we know so far is that it’s still set in modern-day Tokyo and it features a refreshing look of the game’s known Demons. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/atlus/" title="ATLUS">ATLUS</a> is still a bit busy with Persona 5’s massive success, so it might take a while before we see a release date.

The Nintendo Switch continues to open new doors with its hybrid capabilities, giving more room for triple-A developers to take over and experiment. Whatoplay presents the 15 upcoming Triple-A Switch games of 2020 and beyond.

Wannabe singers will get a treat on the PS4 and Switch today with the release of their latest Let's Sing title.

Let's Sing 2020 Opens On PS4 and Switch

Rumours have been flying for years, but Sony has finally announced the PlayStation 5's arrival and confirmed a release window of Holiday 2020. We've had our share of fun on the PS4, and thankfully, we'll still get to play all our favorites on Sony's upcoming console with its confirmed backwards compatibility. We're expecting them to look better too, with the PS5's 8K support and Ray Tracing graphics.

While that's a relief, it's also important to look forwards into the future of the PlayStation 5 and all the games that may come with it. Here's a roundup of the confirmed and rumoured titles for the console so far:

<h3>Confirmed</h3>

So far, there's only been three games confirmed for the PlayStation 5. Some of them are still visions, while others have been planned out since the beginning. Details about the specs are scarce.

New Bluepoint Game

There isn't a load of information about what kind of game they're making for the PS5. Some say it might be a Demon's Soul remake, but nothing is set in stone yet.

Dying Light

Already coming on the PlayStation 4, Techland was one of the first games to confirm a cross-gen release on the PlayStation 5.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Square Enix CEo, Yosuke Matsuda, has stated that the remake of the classic Final Fantasy entry will be playable on both consoles. However, what form it will take on the PS5 is yet to be determined.

<h3>Rumoured</h3>

When a new consoles, rumours and wishful thinking come alng with them. That's exactly what most games in this list are. Just logical speculation with not much information to substantiate them with. We're not complaining.

Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt Red's new IP is ambitious even for the PS4, which means it just might be a better fit for the PlayStation 5. It's always been developed with the next gen in mind, but no confirmation has been made.

Death Stranding

Another excellent PS4 title too. Hideo Kojima may not have made any promises. However, PS5 lead architect, Mike Cerny's "smile and pregnant pause" in a <a href="https://www.wired.com/story/exclusive-sony-next-gen-console/">Wired interview</a> has invited speculation.

Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima's trailer was one of the scene stealers of the E3 so it's no wonder that everyone wants to experience the game to the fullest on the PS5's next gen specs.

The Last of Us: Part 2

The Last of Us was a PlayStation 3 release that was ported to the PlayStation 4. This seems likely for its sequel with a slated release of February 21, 2020 which is months away from the PS5's Holiday window.

Starfield

A new IP from Bethesda, and it's still way early in the development phase. With that in mind, it's logical to assume it'll launch on the PS5.

The Elder Scrolls VI

Similar to Starfield, the sixth installment to Bethesda's RPG series may also launch on the PS5.

Grand Theft Auto 6

Still wishful thinking. Grand Theft Auto 5 has served us well through the years. However, with the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar may just be free to develop a new installment of the GTA series and the PlayStation 5 seems like the best place to start.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Guerilla Games hasn't made any confirmation, but one of their voice actors accidentally <a href="https://thenextweb.com/gaming/2019/04/12/voice-actor-lets-it-slip-that-horizon-zero-dawn-sequel-is-in-the-works/">spilled the beans </a>on a new sequel. Whether or not it'll arrive on the PS5, we're not entirely sure.

God of War 2

God of War director Cory Balrog has been quoted saying their plans for the next DLC was "too ambitious." If they're gonna planning to add to the God of War experience, it might just be on the PS5.

Spider-Man 2

Spider-Man's last DLC arrived in December 2018, so more content may not be expected on the PlayStation 4. What is highly likely is their preparing something for the arrival of the PlayStation 5 sometime later in 2020.

Project Awakening

Cygames' take on Western role-playing games is definitely happening but we're not quite sure if it'll launch on the PS4 or the PS5.

Watch Dogs Legion

Another title that's already set for the PS4. As usual, Ubisoft made no promises.

Dreams

This Media Molecule title is all about unlocking the imaginations. Already a massive success on the PS4, some sources would say that the Dreams could stand to benefit from a port to the PS5. Either way, Media Molecule promises to support the game through the PS5's launch.

Demons Souls

The rumour side of Bluepoint Games' announcement. There are a lot of people screaming for a remake of this 2009 aRPG and they're expecting Bluepoint to bring it to fruition.

Guerrilla Multiplayer Shooter

Guerrilla Games is the studio behind Horizon Zero Dawn. Though their time may already be spent developing the sequel, talks of the studio rehiring the director of Tom Clancy Rainbow Six: Siege ignited speculation of a multiplayer being made for the PS5 launch.

Harry Potter RPG

This is kind of a meta-rumor since we only ever had leaks of this rumoured Harry Potter game. Some sources say that if this game were coming, it would probably be on the PS5.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

Slated for a release in 2021, we might be witnessing this new LOTR title on the PS5.

The Playroom 2

The Playroom is something that comes with the PlayStation package. With a new console rolling out, and the dev team already working on demos, the Playroom 2 is a likely result.

Sniper Elite 5

Rebellion has already been reported to be working on a new Sniper Elite title. Now that the PS5 has been announced, it's more than likely that it'll head straight for the new console.

Uncharted 5

With three years since Nathan Drake's last adventure, we're wishing for the next main Uncharted installment to come to Sony's upcoming console.

Following the announcement of the PlayStation 5, the rumor mill is hot with speculations and some confirmation on the titles coming to the Sony console next year.

What’s Coming To The PlayStation 5? The Lowdown on Confirmed and Rumored Games So Far

You can see the complete, up-to-date listing on our page dedicated to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/esports/">all Android eSports mobile games</a>.

<h2>10. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/arena-of-valor/">Arena of Valor</a></h2>

If there's one genre that's expertly navigated the esports environment, it's the MOBA. And, that's exactly what <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/tencent/">Tencent</a> got to do on the mobile. Arena of Valor, a 5V5 game much like <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/league-of-legends/">League of Legends</a>, isn't the company's first rodeo. In fact, they've amassed quite a success with their China-exclusive Honor of Kings.

To produce the same results in the Western market, they created Arena of Valor which enjoyed more than a third of the mobile esports viewership in 2018, according to <a href="https://escharts.com/">escharts.com</a>. So, it's BIG big, and you can expect the same kind of grandeur in their events too. Especially with their own esports league, Arena of Valor gets that brand of authenticity, complete with analyst desks, casters, and fancy stages.

There's been plenty of tournaments so far, and their next International will be held in Thailand this November. With some news of Tencent abandoning support for the arguably better League of Legends Mobile, that might’ve contributed to its marginal playscore of 7.8

<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/mobile-legends-bangbang/">Mobile Legends</a></h2>

While Arena of Valor was big in the West, Mobile Legends is an example of a more localized phenomenon. It's still from China, though, particularly Shanghai's <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/moonton/">Moonton Studios</a>. Despite being in existence since 2016, Mobile Legends hasn't exactly caught on in the West. That's probably not gonna happen any time soon, either.

Moonton has bumped heads with League of Legends' <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/riot-games/">Riot Games</a> after they sued Mobile Legends for plagiarism, and ML's meta doesn't sit well for those in the west who are more inclined to the balance in Arena of Valor and the OG mobile MOBA, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/vainglory/">Vainglory</a>.

That said, Mobile Legend's influence can't be downplayed, with tournaments spanning across Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and even some in Europe. All of these you can witness yourself in their dedicated esports Youtube Channel, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMncR-XXNXhMyJELEgCrHlg">MLBB esports</a>. There's definitely a lot of love out there for this humble MOBA, and it sits comfortably in the mobile esports scene with a score of 7.87.

<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/shadowverse-ccg/">Shadowverse CCG</a></h2>

One of the players in the collectible card game scene, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/cygames-inc/">Cygames</a>' Shadowverse has carved a name for itself much like Hearthstone. And there's plenty of similarities that bring them very close. Shadowverse CCG is also a casual serving of the CCG formula. But, according to some, there's a lot more free-to-play generosity, giving starters better chances of getting top tier with plenty of packs and a fairer balance. And if you're into it, Shadowverse also has some of the more anime characters and archetypes.

Their esports scene may be in the lower end of the mobile esports pie, but they're still raking in huge numbers with their tournaments all over Europe and Asia. Just recently, they even had the Shadowverse Open Contenders Cup which was live-streamed on their Cygames Esports <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqcJyGmncevlc-CG3XECUKw">youtube account</a>. The Shadowverse esports scene is definitely still going, although you may not see from their playscore of 7.91.

<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/summoners-war/">Summoners War: Sky Arena</a></h2>

There may have been a lot of doubts about its viability as an esport in the beginning, but Summoners War has slowly climbed its way up to being on the "forefront of the mobile competitions." No one else was more surprised than their own developers, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/com2us/">Com2US</a>, who in an interview with gamesindustry, said that they were shocked by the audience's reaction at Amazon's Mobile Masters.

One year later, Summoners War: Sky Arena is still positively thriving. At the time of writing, there's Summoners War World Arena Championship Cups being played in Europe, the Americas, and the Asia Pacific. The competition comes with players strengthening their league of monsters to battle it out with other talented strategists.

It's a lot like MOBA where you draft monsters into the arena and have opponents ban whichever will ruin their chosen tactics most. Unexpectedly exciting, Summoners War: Sky Arena gets a playscore of 8.16.

<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/pubg-mobile/">PUBG Mobile</a></h2>

Now here's something a little more familiar to those in the PC esports scene. PUBG exploded into the market, becoming one of the foremost titles in the Battle Royale genre that invaded gaming for a long while.

Despite the downturn, PUBG remains a strong title in the mobile esports scene. There's been a lot of criticism about PUBGs little bugs and quirks, but overall, it's still one of the go-tos when it comes to realistic Battle Royale. Which is probably the reason for its ongoing success.

Its esports scene doesn't stray too far away from its <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/playerunknowns-battlegrounds/">PC</a> counterpart. It even has players from well-known esports teams like Cloud9 which lend even more credence to its community. Currently, there's a PUBG Mobile Club Open going on, all of which are streamed at the dedicated youtube channel, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmeeY9kzNswUpbYyJntb3Aw">PUBG Mobile esports</a> with over 900 thousand subscribers and a prize pool running in the upper ten-thousands.

It's not much, but it goes to show that the PUBG love lives on, and it has a playscore of 8.25

<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/guns-of-boom/">Guns of Boom - Online PvP Action</a></h2>

This one might be a little bit unfamiliar for most, but it does make sense given all the positive feedback it got when it first released back in 2017. Just recently, it even earned a place in our countdown of the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/videos/best-android-fps-2019/">20 Best Android FPS games</a>.

Weird name notwithstanding, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/game-insight/">Game Insight</a>'s Guns of Boom is one slick FPS beast and it slowly became one of the premier titles on the mobile, especially for fans of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/overwatch/">Overwatch</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/team-fortress-2/">Team Fortress</a>. This is reflected in their nascent esports scene that mostly grew in 2018. A lot of people may dispute its pay to win and auto-shooting aspects, Guns of Boom continues to rise, with many talented teams competing in their Seasonal Gods of Boom competitions.

Right now, their youtube channel is rife with cheers and recaps of their last esports league in Cologne. On the flip side, it's also doing well as an individual, free-to-play game on the Android, with a playscore of 8.31.

<h2>4. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/hearthstone/">Hearthstone</a></h2>

Who doesn't know <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/blizzard/">Blizzard</a>'s popular card game? Arguably one of the most recognized and entrenched esports scenes on this list, Hearthstone on Android definitely benefits from the game's cross-play capabilities. As such, its esports scene isn't entirely a mobile experience, and whichever device you play on, it's still the same game.

That being said, that only adds to the credibility and competitiveness of Hearthstone. If you're good on the mobile, you're good at it everywhere. Hearthstone, though, has been getting a lot of criticism. And that was going on way before the very controversial incident involving Blitzchung and his live Hong Kong protest.

Even as a free-to-play game, a lot of veteran card game players comment on how "expensive" Hearthstone is. This means that competing at the professional level may require you to break the bank. A lot of changes do seem to be underway for the coming season. It has a playscore of 8.41.

<h2>3. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/clash-royale/">Clash Royale</a></h2>

Right after their massive success with Clash of Clans, Supercell managed to replicate their achievement with this card-based strategy tower defense. Other than replicating success, Clash Royale even paved the way to creating an esports scene around it called the Clash Royale League. And, boy, is it thriving.

While there are many teams vying for the crown, their best teams look like a highlight reel of the best in the whole of esports. And, perhaps, that's best explained by the fact that the mobile game made their debut with a million-dollar prize pool that's set to get even bigger with this second season.

As of writing, there's an ongoing West Fall League that's currently in its fifth week, and amassing views numbers of over 100,000. Even with just a devilish 666K subscriber count, it's clear that the future is bright for this Supercell title which has a playscore of 8.41.

<h2>2. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/call-of-duty-mobile/">Call of Duty®: Mobile</a></h2>

Coming out just this October, this is the most recent game on our list. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/activision/">Activision</a>'s Call of Duty: Mobile might still be settling in on the platform--its launch has reportedly even been plagued with lags and bugs. But, with the wide reaches of its <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/call-of-duty/">parent franchise</a>, many people are already speculating on its potential esports viability.

Within a week of its launch, it has amassed over 35 million downloads and over 2 million dollars in microtransactions money. The reason behind its hotcake retail rate seems to be its extensive 100 player battle royale mode that lets players compete as solo players, or with teams of two and four.

With such a massive launch, the esports agenda is bound to come up soon. In fact, according to toornament.com some of them have already sprung up. Right now, all we have is excitement and its playscore of 8.75 to show us it ain't bad at all.

<h2>1. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/clash-of-clans/">Clash of Clans</a></h2>

Clash Royale has a way of testing individual strategic skills. On the other hand, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/supercell/">SUPERCELL</a>'s first outstanding success also has some esports potential on its own, testing the skills of clans worldwide to defend their own in the LEDs of large studios.

Starting out recently in February of this year, COC's Clan War Leagues have switched to a brand new 5v5 format and enticing us all with a hefty million dollar prize pool. Included alongside the superstars of the esports league, COC's scene is nothing to snub your nose at.

On top of Town Hall clashes here and there, there's also the massive World Championship qualifiers that will come to a head this October in Hamburg's ESL stage. It's definitely happening for COC. Its got an esports scene going for it, and, considering its also an enjoyable game on its own, its playscore of 8.86 earns its this well-deserved winning spot.

The eSports scene in mobile is far from usurping PC titles but it doesn't mean there is none present. Here's our ranking of the best eSports games on Android.

Top 10 Android eSports Games

Halloween is just around the corner! It's time for some scary games. Below is the ranking of the best newly-released horror games for Android. To see the full ranking, visit our <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/horror">list of all Android horror games</a>.

<h2>10. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/friday-the-13th-killer-puzzle/">Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle</a></h2>

Just because this game might not exactly send tingles to your spine, it doesn't mean it's not perfect for Halloween. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/blue-wizard-digital/">Blue Wizard</a>'s Friday the 13th is a puzzle that's practically built on it, putting slasher icon Jason Vorhees in center stage.

Throughout Killer Puzzle, you'll be challenged to recreate all his horrific escapades in grid-based fashion. Go around camp and strategically move through each level to carefully eliminate each victim the way mom told you to. While they're as dumb as any horror movie victim is, there'll be plenty of obstacles in your way--making it a challenging yet ultimately rewarding exercise.

It's not quite as gory scare-fest that the movie was. Especially not with the game's blocky voxel visuals. What Friday the 13th does though is it perfectly parodies all the horror tropes we, spooky Halloween lovers, have come to love. It has a provisional playscore of 8.4.

<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/granny-chapter-two/">Granny: Chapter Two</a></h2>

And now we arrive at a true blue horror title. A sequel to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/dvloper/">DVloper</a>'s pretty successful survival horror, you better watch your back because granny's got her ears on you...and this time she's got company. It might've been difficult enough to escape from their semi-blind geriatric in the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/granny/">first game</a>. But in Chapter Two we’ll have to face the hard of hearing but hard-hitting Grampa too.

The object of the game remains the same: you have five days to escape the house, and each day is rife with danger. You can hide in wardrobes, or sneak under the beds, but your safety is never certain until you get out.

Chapter Two comes with a new all-new house to explore, as well as some minor improvements on graphics. It's still the same dull and bleak visuals, but for mobile horror fans, it's got everything you could hope for in a sequel. Make sure they don't find you. It has a provisional playscore of 8.6.

<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/the-coma-cutting-class/">The Coma: Cutting Class</a></h2>

From murderous relatives in the middle of nowhere Cabins, we come back to civilization with a High School Horror from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/dodam-games/">Dodam Games</a>. The Coma isn't just a horror game, though. It's also a survival adventure, which means there's a huge focus on story and resource management. As Youngho, trapped in the corridors Sehwa High, you must escape the hands of a psychotic killer by managing your backpack space and listening closely for footsteps. And just to make things interesting, you'll also have to think about your stamina to run away from the murderer on the loose.

While it was originally a <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-coma-cutting-class/">PC title</a>, The Coma has been fully optimized for the mobile. The controls are fairly easy and intuitive, which comes handy when planning for your escape route. For a simple horror title, The Coma beautifully shows off its Silent Hill inspirations in its story, sounds, and atmosphere, earning it a score of 8.61.

<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/fnaf-6-pizzeria-simulator/">FNaF 6: Pizzeria Simulator</a></h2>

This isn't exactly what anyone expected for the sixth main installment of the Five Nights at Freddy's series. On the other hand, you'd be mistaken to expect anything less than pants-shitting terrors from this series. No, this game is not what it seems. At face value, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/clickteam/">Clickteam</a>'s FNaF 6 merely wants you at the helm of a new Freddy's branch. Along with it comes a few challenges in managing the branch which you can achieve through the game's many exciting minigames. But, as you'd expect, between these ordinary activities, the chills just sneak through, replacing the bright and sunny with the darkness that we all love.

FNaF 6 is a port from the PC, and as such, it's been a seamless transition. It doesn't just look great on the mobile, its controls also flow pretty well too. While there are some bugs here and there, it doesn't do much to dull the horrifying scenes to come. It has a provisional playscore of 8.79.

<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/bendy-and-the-ink-machine/">Bendy and the Ink Machine</a></h2>

If you thought those weird cartoons from the early 1900s were scary, wait till you see them in action. It was one of the breakout hits of 2018, and its since gained a cult following on the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/bendy-and-the-ink-machine/">PC</a>, consoles, and the Android too.

Bendy and the Ink machine is a horror puzzle adventure from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/joey-drew-studios-inc/">Joey Drew Studios</a> where you follow a cartoonist who finds the cartoons of old turned into nightmarish monsters by the eponymous Ink machine. Bendy's best feature has always been its presentation. It capitalizes on the inherent creepiness of old cartoons and marries it well with haunting sepia undertones. It may not have had the best performance on the mobile, but developers have been hard at work to fix it with constant updates to deliver the best experience yet.

Bringing its massive success on the mobile, it gets a well-deserved provisional rating of 8.8.

<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/rest-in-pieces/">Rest in Pieces</a></h2>

If there's one word you can use to describe mobile games, it's simple. And that's exactly what you can expect from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/itatakecom/">Itatake</a>'s Rest in Pieces. At its core, Rest in Pieces is perhaps just another endless runner game among a massive number on the mobile. However, its flavor of monochrome madness is just the twist it needs to distinguish it from all the rest. All you have to do is swing around a porcelain doll from side to side, and avoid any obstacle that comes your way. But, with this simple mechanism, Rest in Pieces spices it with the pressures of awakening poor souls from a terrifying dream, or vanquishing evil clowns.

For fans of the rhythm violence in <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/drool/">Drool</a>'s <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/thumper-pocket-edition/">Thumper</a>, this might feel very familiar. And, it works pretty well for this game's creepy haunted house environment. With presentations that are on the mark, Rest in Pieces is dreadfully distinct, with a provisional playscore of 8.8.

<h2>4. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/case-animatronics-horror-game/">CASE: Animatronics - Horror game</a></h2>

Sure, dolls are scary. But, there's something about towering, clanky metal animatronic that can make your blood curdle. We had it in Five Nights at Freddy's, and now we have it in CASE, too. For fans of the FNAF series, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/azur-interactive-games-limited/">Azur Interactive</a>'s CASE levels up the animatronic horror by having given players freedom of movement in a haunted environment. Unfortunately, that freedom goes for the animatronics too. Using just a tablet, watch the security cameras closely and look out for the movements of the murderous metal men who are also equipped with strange abilities.

The night is long and the tensions continue to rise. The only way to survive is to hide and sneak your way to safety. As a port to the mobile, CASE: Animatronics hasn't had the smoothest transition. But, with a combination of mechanics from Outlast and Five Nights, it definitely has a whole load of interesting ideas to offer, and it has a provisional playscore of 8.8.

<h2>3. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/death-park-horror-clown-scary-escape-game/">Death Park: Horror Clown Scary Escape Game</a></h2>

What with Stephen King's IT making blockbuster comebacks recently, this next game capitalizes on the growing love for murderous clowns.

Judging from their title, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/euphoria-games/">Euphoria Games</a>' Death Park: Horror Clown Scary Escape Game is definitely no IT.
But they do have a clown and it's also out for blood. Out in the grimy, yellow halls of the so-called Death Park, a madman is on the loose and you need to find a way out.

Unlike your run of the mill monster game, getting out of Death Park will require you to use some smarts. Collect items along the way and solve the puzzles you face amid its hospital halls, basements, and dizzying mazes. Don't forget to keep track of the creepy clown's movements or you just might find him in the next corner. A horror game for would-be victims, it has a provisional playscore of 8.98.

<h2>2. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/detention/">Detention</a></h2>

One of the most harrowing indie horror titles on its release, Detention has successfully been haunting the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/detention/">PC</a>. But, just last September, the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/redcandlegames/">Taiwanese production</a> took a bold step, spreading the horrors to the mobile hemisphere.

In Detention, you're told the tale of two students trapped in the halls of their high school right after the traumatic events of Taiwan's martial law period. On the Android, it's free to play, which means it's only going to offer you a sneak peek into the game's spine-tingling sensations and you'll have to shell out for the complete experience. Anchoring on the real-life events of the era and crafting a well-crafted atmosphere, Detention has everything that could make for a compelling horror story. Earning a rating of 9.0, it may well be worth the investment.

<h2>1. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/distraint-deluxe-edition/">DISTRAINT: Deluxe Edition</a></h2>

When it comes to bringing the most premium horror experience to the mobile, no one has done it quite like Distraint. It's a game from talented developer <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/jesse-makkonen/">Jesse Makonen</a> and it's made a name for itself by balancing 2D sidescrolling aesthetics with truly haunting images and sounds.

Distraint puts you in the shoes of Jonathan Price who is tasked to seize an elderly woman's property in exchange for a partnership in a famous company. It seems easy enough, but he'll eventually learn that his ambitions will come at a very steep price. Even with its restricting format, Distraint is fully loaded with scares. You'll progress the main character's hopes and possible demise, and all of it packed in its very short run-time of just over two hours.

With this Deluxe edition, the experience has been leveled with dynamic colors, enhanced lighting, and even scarier animations. Still a powerhouse in mobile horror, it gets a provisional score of 9.38.

Halloween is just around the corner! It's time for some scary games. Below is the ranking of the best newly-released horror games for Android.
