Galahad 3093 is a great proof of concept for a halfway decent hero shooter; if developer Simutronics could work out the kinks and imbalances within the game, the title could be a sleeper hit within a smaller yet very passionate and devoted community.

The game's biggest strength is its narrative. If you play Assassin's Creed Valhalla as a normal Viking open-world game, you will certainly enjoy it. But, if you expect it to stick to the Assassin's Creed philosophy, you are in for a disappointment.

Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy on Switch are excellent, there’s no doubt about that. If Nintendo were smart, they would make more games from their back catalog available. Being able to play these three games on the Switch is awesome, and I cannot overstate how happy I am that I get to do so. I just wish the Super Mario 3D All-Stars bundle could have delivered a little more.

Serious Sam 4 get's lots of things right, but it also gets some things wrong. Overall the game is an improvement over its predecessor. The open-world design emphasizes exploration, the massive arsenal makes killing aliens more fun than ever.

Ultimately, Fight Crab was made for goofy multiplayer battles and short bursts of absurdist fun. It isn’t some epic game with a massive scope, and it doesn’t try to be. If you are looking for an in-depth single-player experience, you’re going to want to look elsewhere. That said, not many games offer the tantalizing prospect of playing as a crustacean, so you might have a hard time finding an exact alternative.

Even more impressively, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 has one foot in the calming waters of nostalgia, and the other foot in the rougher waters of new ideas, and manages to pull both off. This is a game that was made for people to relive classic gaming memories, while also providing an impeccable new entry point for those who haven’t played a Tony Hawk game before.

Lightmatter is a breath of fresh air to the easily forgettable puzzle genre. The game is an impressive package of well-crafted puzzles, gorgeous art style, and incredible sound design. Lightmatter requires players to forge their paths by illuminating dark areas using strategic use of lights and avoiding the deadly shadows.

While what is included in Tools Up is fun, it feels like there is so much more the development team can do to create new levels with the already present themes and create new themes for even more levels. It’s not often I say this, but I really hope there is some upcoming DLC, or a sequel is coming quickly.

The Surge 2 is a perfect example of a sequel done right, and in this case Deck13 hit it out of the park to deliver an enhanced action-packed experience with the coolest-feeling combat and a great difficulty curve to match. While not entirely flawless, the sum of all its parts is a game worth the price tag and play time, as The Surge 2 steps out of the shadows of Souls-likes and into its own as a standout action RPG, one of the best I've played this year.

GreedFall is easily Spiders at its finest, and fans of the Western RPG genre can easily take enjoyment in its well-written and voice acted narrative as well as the solid combat when it comes to gameplay. It's by no means perfect, with a few hiccups here and there, but in GreedFall's case the great far outweighs the bad to carry the torch of a genre that has lacked a decent entry in quite some time. Extremely decent, and a must-play for any fan of the studio.
