  • With a surprisingly lengthy campaign, addicting multiplayer, and plenty of customization options, it’s a game that will keep you coming back for more. If you’re fishing for a quirky, physics-based title in the spirit of Gangbeasts or Human: Fall Flat, then look no further. Fight Crab is an absolute keeper.

  • Fight Crab embodies the feel of a B-movie in its execution. That’s both a blessing and a curse. Some of the time the game can feel clunky and repetitive, and it doesn’t give all its ideas time to breathe. But when the battles heat up, crabs come in (literally) guns blazing, and the game goes full on absurdist; there is nothing quite like it.

  • Ultimately, Fight Crab was made for goofy multiplayer battles and short bursts of absurdist fun. It isn’t some epic game with a massive scope, and it doesn’t try to be. If you are looking for an in-depth single-player experience, you’re going to want to look elsewhere. That said, not many games offer the tantalizing prospect of playing as a crustacean, so you might have a hard time finding an exact alternative.

  • While Fight Crab is far from the best fighting game I’ve played, it is among the funniest fighters, which gives the title real value, despite its quirks. It will get repetitive playing solo, though, so make sure you have some in your household to play with to give the one-of-a-kind Fight Crab lasting power.

  • Fight Crab is an impressively full-featured and surprisingly good-looking game that transcends its silly meme origins and ends up as something much more. It could end up a staple party game with its joyfully nonsensical premise and well-executed crab simulating gameplay, which goes above and beyond what a crab-battling game really needs to be, and we applaud it. Some novelty titles are a complete flash in the pan, but Fight Crab sticks.

  • It’s hard to complain too much about Fight Crab when you know how self-aware it really is. The troublesome controls and repetitive gameplay are all clearly a part of the joke but even laughing can be tiring if it’s all you’re doing. Fight Crab definitely has its moments of fun and stupidity, but it’s not got enough meat on the bones to make it feel like anything more than a fun concept.

  • If you’re looking for some light relief from the very serious games released this year or have ever thought how you would handle a crab wielding a lightsaber, Fight Crab may be the game for you. Don’t expect the world from a game where a crab rides a seal and you may find yourself falling in guilt-free love.

  • It manages to keep things smelling fresh by putting you through some absolutely bizarre situations, and you’ll never forget the first time a lobster comes at you with a revolver. On the other hand, this kind of stupid fun is always fleeting. You’re probably not going to spend a lot of time mastering the art of the death pinch, and once the novelty wears off, you’ll likely molt your old shell and move on.

  • Brawlers can be repetitive by nature, but it was a slow grind to get to where you wanted to be and this made it hard to play for a long time. Even though the controls were slow, I’ll admit it was fun to button mash and I am sure this would be a hit in a household with children and those who want to experience the novelty of this game.

  • Fight Crab may be a bit rough around its pincers and claws, it is still a very nice and entertaining game. While you may feel a lack of control at times, the game does have a lot of replay value because of the different classes you get to unlock, and the weapons you can mess around with. The leveling system is decently handled, and also motivates you to grind with your favorite characters. While the price for this one may be a bit steep, it’s still a very amusing title. Also, it gives you a solid excuse to claim you have crabs now.
