RedDeer.Games will release a new game this year. In it, players will help the protagonist save a friend from a bloody and tragic ending.

In a press release, the Poland-based video game publisher announced the development of One Night: Burlesque. The upcoming noir-themed title is RedDeer's first in-house project. It will hit Nintendo Switch and Steam within this year, they said.

One Night: Burlesque is a visual novel game that will take players to a hand-drawn world where jazz meets science fiction.

One Night: Burlesque is a visual novel game in which players can delve into the heart of a tarry noir tale, where the fluff of peacock feathers, and sequins darkens under the influence of crime lurking in the shadows, RedDeer said.

The game is set in a world where humans with supernatural abilities must take a drug called ODDERAL. Otherwise, they will spiral into madness and insanity.

Players control the protagonist, Hollie, a talented dancer working at the exclusive burlesque club Angels Den. With her telepathic skills, Hollie discovers that someone plans to murder her best friend, setting the game's story.

Along the way, players must make choices that will affect the story's outcome. They must "delve into the minds" of the characters surrounding Hollie and try to solve the mystery.

Uncover their hidden motives and unveil the truth. Be cautious; every mind holds secrets, and not all are willing to share them right away, said developers.

One Night: Burlesque will have three different endings. All of them will be influenced by the choices the players took, they added.

RedDeer Games will reveal more details about One Night: Burlesque, including its release date, at a later date. Interested players can watch the game's trailer on YouTube.

The publisher said the latest addition to the Rune Factory series features visuals, mechanics, and content remastered to fit Switch consoles.

XSEED Games added that Rune Factory 3 Special also served as an expanded version of the original game.

The game tells the story of a young man named Micah, who woke up one day to discover that he had become a sheep-like monster. When he regained his human form, however, he lost all of his memories of the past.

Eventually, Micah arrives in Sharance, where humans and monsters coexist and where the game's campaign kicks off. Players will then guide Micah to survive in Sharance and navigate a conflict between humankind and monsters.

Like other titles in the series, Rune Factory 3 Special lets players explore, do combat, farm, fish, cook, craft, and find romance. The newest game, however, introduced players to two new modes. These are the Newlywed and Hell.

In Newlywed Mode, players can unlock standalone adventures with each spouse after marriage. On the other hand, Hell is a new difficulty level that challenges players to fight tougher enemies for lower rewards.

As a bonus, players who have saved data for Rune Factory 4 Special and Rune Factory 5 on Nintendo Switch™ or own the games on Steam will receive special outfits for Micah based on the protagonists of those games. Moreover, the "Another Episode" DLC, which features illustrated stories narrated by each marriage candidate, will be free for one month after launch.

Rune Factory 3 Special is available digitally for $39.99 for the standard edition on both platforms. Switch players can also purchase a physical copy of the game for $39.99.

The Black Pool Enters Steam Early Access

Reus 2, the sequel to the 2013 strategy game where players control giants, has kicked off its first public demo.Paris-based publisher Firesquid confirmed that the demo version of Reus 2 went live for Steam Strategy Fest. The event will run from August 29 to September 4.

The Strategy Fest edition of Reus 2 has a playtime of 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. The early demo introduces players to the core gameplay, including a tutorial and a limited set of planned content, such as three biomes and three giants.

In addition, developers have incorporated the feedback they gathered during its latest playtest into the demo version.

We used the feedback from the last playtest to hone in on some important aspects of the game. For the sake of the demo, we did remove some features that were still too rough on the edges to play, said Adriaan from Abbey Games.

Abbey Games is the Dutch studio that developed the first game.

Last May, Firesquid announced the development of Reus 2 during the 10th anniversary of the first game's release. Dutch game studio Abbey Games will still lead the development of the sequel.

Similar to its predecessor, Reus 2 combines god-game elements with planet management. In it, players become giants who nurture their plants and guide humanity.

The upcoming game, however, will introduce new features and mechanics. According to the developers, Reus 2 will allow players to create multiple planets.

The launch date of the game's full version has yet to be revealed. However, developers said it would contain more content. This included new and familiar giants.

Reus first came out in 2013. The game received positive reviews from gamers and some critics. While praising its visuals and potential, other game experts felt disappointed over its mechanics.

They pointed out that Reus lacked replayability and that its gameplay needed improvement.

For Reus 2, developers promised to expand on the original game's features and offer more variety and replayability.
