FPS games test the limits of our hand-eye coordination. To this day, the genre continues to evolve with more verticality, better graphics, and addictive combat. Here are our most anticipated first-person shooter games:

1. Borderlands 3 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

This third installment is a long time coming. More cel-shaded chaos awaits us in this brand new title from Gearbox. The loot-shooter adventures live on as we get to use brand new heroes gearing up for mayhem.

Moz, Fl4k, Amara, and Zane take center stage. Play around their different styles and experiment with their guns, gadgets, beasts, and sorcery. With the new spaceship, we are no longer limited to the loot paradise of Pandora. Discovering new worlds is just the tip of the iceberg in this massive new installment. Set to release this 13th of September.

2. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC

That's right. We are going to the moon. Again. Free from their contract with Activision, Bungie is making a few changes, the first of which is this: their first fully standalone expansion. Which means, if you don't have Destiny 2, you're free to explore this cinematic journey to a moon that's twice as large.

In Shadowkeep, we'll get to play as an old Destiny ally, Eris Morn, as he prepares to confront a new and mysterious nightmares on the barren satellite.

In line with their separation with Activision, this means we'll get to see Destiny 2: Shadowkeep on Steam, too. It's coming out this September 17th.

3. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare on PS4, PC, and Xbox One

That’s right, another Call of Duty title is in the works and it’s coming out very soon. After a surprise announcement before E3, everyone was expecting something different for the CoD franchise, something revolutionary, something big… then the title screen dropped. It’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Don’t feel bad. It’s still a Call of Duty game. As a soft reboot of the series, we still get to shoot people, play with friends, and enjoy its rumored Battle Royale mode. Among its biggest surprise was the return of the fan-favorite Captain Price, although he kinda looks like a new person here.

Unfortunately, we don’t get to see gameplay yet. All we had to do is to wait for more details pop up before the game comes out this October 25th.

4. The Outer Worlds on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

This is a welcome surprise during the 2018 Game Awards. It’s a bit of a stretch to call this the real successor of Fallout. But with the disappointing release of Fallout 76, it might as well be. Obsidian Entertainment, the team that brought us Fallout New Vegas, returns with their true RPG experience.

In the Outer Worlds, live in a vast science fiction colony. You get to decide which path you take depending on your choices. Shape your journey by being an absolute D-Bag or a righteous person.

Obsidian’s quirky animation and atmosphere is still here. We get to see how ridiculous this world is gonna be once it comes out this 25th of October on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

5. Doom Eternal on Xbox One, PC, Switch, and PS4

Pandemonium is just a regular Tuesday when you’re the legendary Doom Slayer. Id Software’s sequel to their award-winning first person shooter is not taking things lightly this time.

Battle the demonic forces of Hell with your massive arsenal of powerful weapons. Nothing is more satisfying than dismembering a legion of demons with your giant chainsaw.

Rocket launchers, laser rifles, heavy machine guns and a whole lot more. As the most heavily armed exorcist in the history of the known universe, leave no demonic survivors in this fast-paced shooter experience that changed the genre forever. It comes out this November 22 on the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and the Stadia.

6. XII on Xbox One, Switch, PC, and PS4

When it comes to first person shooting with a side of comicbook artistry, there's nothing like XIII.

Amassing a cult following since its release on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox One in 2013, XIII is staging its comeback, refreshed and renewed for the modern consoles. While its first iteration apparently received mixed reviews when it came out, it was still a memorable jaunt for those who enjoyed the cel-shaded graphics, and perhaps X Files’ David Duchovny’s portrayal of character Jason Fly

As their trailer suggests, XIII is still gonna be loaded with style and we’re looking forward to seeing it on the PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Switch this November.

7. Chernobylite on PS4, Xbox One, and PC

While we did talk about S.T.A.L.K.E.R., there’s another first person game coming out and it’s set inside the horrors of the radioactive wasteland of Ukraine. Clearly inspired by Metro and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.’s success, this survival horror game offers a new take on the disastrous Chernobyl explosion.

Players uncover the twisted secrets of the world’s worst nuclear disaster by entering the Exclusion Zone. They must use a variety of gadgets to scan anomalies of the irradiated mess; crafting weapons on-the-go and taking down mutated freaks along the way.

As of the moment, the game is still deep in its development process. It’s Kickstarter campaign is racking up huge donations. No release date yet, but it looks promising so far.

8. Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts on PC, PlayStatin 4, and Xbox One

Sniper games are a polarizing bunch. Some are terrible, but some are great. Sniper Elite showed us the satisfaction of watching their balls blow up in slow-motion.

CI Games’ own Sniper entry is different, but it stays true to the core element of the genre. Fulfill Sniper contracts in modern-day Siberia and avoid the icy touch of its frozen lands.

It’s not a sniper game if you don’t abide to the rules and objectives to the mission. Select from an array of high-tech gadgets to kill your enemies with style. That including drones, remote turrets, sticky bombs and toxic gas. That’s a whole lot of choices to kill someone, there’s no way you’d disappoint. Once you pull the first trigger, the game is only gonna get better from there. No definite release date yet, but it comes out sometime this 2019 on the PC, PlayStation 4 and XBox One.

9. Atomic Heart on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC

Atomic Heart was introduced to us by its developers Mundfish last year in what is arguably the best trailer of 2019. Atomic Heart wears its bioshock inspiration on its sleeve. But more than the sci-fi weirdness, the trailer suggests it's got a bit of wit on its own, juxtaposing violence with the wistful liveliness of a Russian tango.

Set in a fictional Soviet Union at its zenith, play the secret agent sent on a mission. It isn’t much to go on, but the potential is definitely there.

10. Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

The future looks grim in CD Projekt Red’s ambitious new title. After Witcher III’s stellar success, they jump into the future in this ambitious new entry set in Mike Pondsmith’s pen and paper RPG. If you’ve seen too many Cyberpunk movies, you know it’s all about the neon lights and punk-rock aesthetic, especially Keanu Reeves.

The game is all about the dark future. Body modification is an obsession, corporations are taking over the world, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. You create your own character named V and make consequential decisions that impact the game’s story in its stylish first person shooter combat.

The game had its fair share of backlash for its shift to First Person Shooter, because some others believed third person could work in a game this huge. CDPR assured fans that this fresh perspective is created for greater immersion and feel to its dystopian society. Better save up for a new rig it comes out this 16th of April, 2020.

11. Ready or Not

Ready or not, Swat 5 is happening. Kind of.

Somewhat taking the reins from SWAT developer, Irrational Games, newbie VOID Interactive bursts into the scene with an FPS grounded in reality.

There won't be too much of mindless shooting in Ready or Not. Its stages require a bit of puzzle solving and knowledge of tactics and procedure. With so many ways of facing one dangerous criminal situation, you will get to decide exactly how you’ll engage.

While there’s a career mode in which you take command of an AI swat team, it’ll also have a PvP of SWAT team vs rogue elements.

It’s coming to PC and consoles late 2020.

12. HALO Infinite on PC and Xbox One

Master Chief is back in the spotlight with a refined story. Halo Infinite will also mark the series' deeper focus on cooperative play. Play with your friends in a grand space adventure filled with beautiful vistas, fantastic biomes, and sci-fi action.

While we didn't get any new look into their gameplay, exciting news about possible LAN support and split screen feature is enough to keep fans going. Infinite is gearing up for greatness but it might be a while till then. No release date yet, but it’s coming out soon as a Microsoft exclusive.

13. Tom Clancy's Rainbox Six Quarantine on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4

Ubisoft isn't hitting the throttle on the Tom Clancy series anytime soon. There's a new coop FPS experience that awaits out in Quarantine. And from the looks of the trailer, it seems we're gonna have to face off both mutants and alien beasts.

Still sharing the same cooperative gameplay from Rainbow Six Siege, Qurantine is reportedly putting us in the shoes of their very own Ella and Virgil. We're also getting a new quarantine zones that will pit us against a new threat with Rainbow Six signature gunplay and action.

Apart from the E3 cinematic trailer, Ubisoft hasn't released much about the game. Some suggests that it might be the PvE counterpart to Siege's PvP. You can find this game on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One shelves sometime in 2020.

14. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

HBO’s Chernobyl is nothing compared to this radioactive fiasco. Before we had the Metro games, there was S.T.A.L.K.E.R., it introduced us to an alternate reality where mutated freaks take residence in Moscow’s irradiated wasteland.

From Shadow to Call of Pripyat, the series gave players a whole new direction to the sandbox genre. This brand new title promises to be a huge improvement, especially with its new Unreal Engine 4 graphics.

Unfortunately, the game is still at its early stages, but its new and updated website is sure to spark some interest to the hardcore fans. It’s slated for a 2021 release.

15. Bright Memory: Infinite on Xbox One, PC, and PS4

Before we talk about Infinite, we need to talk about Bright Memory: Episode 1.

Released on Steam early access, the first episode was a beautifully chaotic bulletstorm that mixed FPS with lightning fast Devil May Cry-like combat. All crafted by the one-man studio FYQD. With that being a hit, we discover it was a stepping stone for something bigger, and that was Infinite.

The trailer is more of a cinematic treat, but it does shape our expectations--that is, to expand on the world of Bright Memory with story rewrites and reworked levels.

Recent reports suggest it’ll be a short but sweet three hours. Still very early in development, when the release will be is anybody’s guess.

Top 15 Upcoming FPS Games of 2019-2020 (PC PS4 XB1 Stadia)

It’s been over a month since Overwatch blessed us with another Developer Update. Although the rate of these videos are declining, Jeff Kaplan, the Game Director of Blizzard’s critically acclaimed First Person Shooter title, is still in it for the long haul.

The July 2019 Dev Update features promising quality of life changes for both casual and competitive players.

Kaplan stated that the game’s primary focus as of the moment is bringing balance to its Competitive Mode; therefore penalizing hackers from exploiting the SKill Rating (SR) system. That means whenever a hacker (not Sombra) gets detected by their new and dynamic anti-cheat system, the match immediately goes to a stop. No decrease of SR will be given to both teams, only the hacker.

The much-awaited annual Summer Event is also coming out earlier than expected and will add more surprises for the players. Unfortunately, Jeff did not specifically go into details about these new ‘surprises’.

Lastly, rumors and speculations are brewing across the internet as the latest info about Hero 31 is still under wraps. However, Jeff did say that “HE” will be coming out very soon after the release of their 2019 Summer Event.

Overwatch recently celebrated its 3rd Anniversary last May 2019 and the game continues to pump changes and content to the battlefield. Summer Events and Hero 31 are coming out very soon, so tune in here for the latest updates.

Dragon Quest Builders II: A Sequel Done Right

While there's a mad rush for the latest Switch Lite console, Nintendo is quick to bring what they think is good news for players on the Switch.

In their latest press release, Nintendo announced two new additions to their expansive line of Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Games on the Nintendo Switch Online. First is the bug-exterminating Donkey Kong™ 3 and the building-destroying Wrecking Crew, both of which will be releasing on July 17th

Nintendo provided extended synopses for both games:

Wrecking Crew – In the days before Mario and Luigi became sports stars in their downtime from saving the princess, they tried their hands as one-man wrecking crews. With a hammer as their only tool, take control of the brothers and set out to destroy ladders, rip out pipes, knock out walls and detonate explosive devices. But make sure to plan your path of destruction carefully, as each building is designed as its own clever puzzle.

Donkey Kong 3 – Based on the third game in the enormously popular arcade series, Donkey Kong 3 introduces an exterminator named Stanley as he desperately tries to protect the flowers in his greenhouse from Donkey Kong. Armed only with a can of bug spray, Stanley must force Donkey Kong higher and higher into the greenhouse rafters until Donkey Kong is off the screen and the next stage is reached.

Other than the two new additions, Nintendo also introduced a new REWIND feature that will hopefully add your enjoyment of the NES games already on offer.

The rewind feature is a little like a Quick Save/Load. It allows you to go back a few frames from a possibly deadly mistake and saves you another run round the stage or level.

Nintendo Switch Online is a service on the Switch console that allows for online services like multiplayer and cloud backup on a subscription basis. More details here.

Those subscribed will also have access to their collection of over forty classic NES titles like The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros, and Donkey Kong--three series that still find themselves on the top Nintendo Switch Games list to this day.

Donkey Kong 3 and Wrecking Crew are working their way to the Nintendo Switch Online along with a rewind feature that will make everything easier, sort of.

Nintendo Switch Online to Get Two New NES Games and A Rewind Feature on July 17th

Nintendo's latest Switch is aiming for a more compact gaming experience. Dubbed as “The Nintendo Switch Lite”, this fresh console is a smaller version of the Switch. It’s aimed at providing an even more portable experience.

The added portability of the console makes it reminiscent to the classic GameBoy. However, there are downsides.

Where the original Switch can play all Nintendo Switch games, the Lite version only supports titles that work in Handheld mode.

On the Lite, the Joy-cons are also no longer detachable. This means that the new system will not have the HD Rumble nor the IR Motion Camera.

It's a purely a handheld console that does not offer a docking mode nor a TV Mode.

On the upside, the Lite boasts a longer-lasting battery life of 7-8 hours compared to the original which only lasts for about 2 to 6 hours. It's a huge difference considering its lack of hybrid mechanics. These advantages work their way into pricing too, with the Lite costing $100 less at $199.99 compared to the original's $299.99

For height and width specifications, the original is 4” high, 9.4” long, and .55” deep; the Lite is 3.6” high, 8.2” long, and .55” deep.

Nintendo’s website provided additional details comparing both systems.

Concurrent to its announcement, Nintendo will also release a special themed Pokemon Sword and Shield Switch Lite this November. It is packed with decals and illustrations from legendary Pokemon Zacian and Zamazenta.

With this latest (and affordable) version of Nintendo’s console, the future of the Switch looks good.

The next step of the Switch console goes even handier and cheaper despite sacrificing some of its best features.

Nintendo reveals the Switch Lite; a smaller and sleeker version of the Nintendo Switch

There has been plenty of doubts recently but Nintendo is still fighting to bring their first full Pokemon game to the Top Switch Games lists.

In their latest announcement, Nintendo introduces us to the game-changing phenomenon that is Gigantamaxing.

While we recently learned about Dynamixing, a special feature in Galar Pokemon that seems to change the size of the Pokemon for more epic battles. With Gigantamaxing, Pokemon don't change sizes, they also change the appearance and allow for the use of special G-Max Moves.

The two Pokemon revealed to have these capabilities are Drednaw and Corviknight.

Gigantamax Drednaw
Type: Water/Rock
Height: 78′9″
Weight: Unknown
Ability: Strong Jaw / Shell Armor

The power of Gigantamaxing has allowed Drednaw to stand on its hind legs and become bipedal. From its standing position, it can come crashing down on opposing Pokémon and crush them with its massive body. Drednaw normally keeps its neck retracted within its shell, but when it attacks, it can rapidly shoot its neck out. Its jaws are also incredibly strong and can easily bite through huge metal towers. The strength of its jaws combined with the force of its neck gives Drednaw the power to punch a hole through a rocky mountain in a single strike. Water-type moves used by Gigantamax Drednaw will change to G-Max Stonesurge. G-Max Stonesurge doesn’t just deal damage to an opponent—it will scatter sharp rocks around the opponent and cause Pokémon entering the battlefield to take damage.

Gigantamax Corviknight
Type: Flying/Steel
Height: 45′11″
Weight: Unknown
Ability: Pressure/Unnerve

Corviknight uses its massive wings to catch updrafts created by Gigantamax energy to hover in the air while it battles. The armor on its body has been reinforced, so attacks from Pokémon on the ground barely have any effect. Gigantamax energy has caused the armor covering Corviknight’s wings to separate and become blade birds, capable of flying independently. Flying-type moves used by Gigantamax Corviknight will change to G-Max Wind Rage, which removes any effects of moves like Reflect, Light Screen, Spikes, and Electric Terrain that the opponents may have.

The new video also highlights a few adorable new pokemon like Alcremie, a cream type pokemon that distracts with its sweet cream scent; Rolycoly, a coal pokemon that gets a speedboost form Fire and Water type moves; and Duralodon, a steel/dragon type pokemon with both light and heavy metal abilities.

It also showed Gym leaders like the strongest, Leon; the fighting type expert Bea; and the ghost-type Gym leader Allister. These, alongside characters Chairman Rose, the businessman and chairman of the Pokemon League; as well as his secretary Oleana who, in turn, acts as the Rose's company vice president.

Almost two years after the initial release of Redeemer, an Enhanced Edition of this intense top-down brawler will be launched this July 19 on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC. It will be avaible on both physical and digital media.

The game was originally scheduled to release on the 12th. The week-long delay is likely to gain more time for quality assurance and polishing. A recent tweet from publisher Buka Entertainment mentions that it’s in the final stages of testing.

In Redeemer, you play as Vasily, a monk with a dark past tied to the biggest Cybernetic Weapon Manufacturer in the world. For twenty years, you’ve been trying to find peace in a secluded monastery but the corporation is closing in on you. Your road to redemption will be paved with blood.

The original Redeemer for the PC was met with a lukewarm reception from both critics and gamers, receiving a playscore of 7.14. The game was praised for its enjoyable combat system but was criticized for its dated mechanics and the lack of a rewarding progression.

The Enhanced Edition comes with an updated leveling and perk systems that promise to improve the overall experience. While not mentioned in the announcement, we can expect that this upcoming release will come with improvements on other aspects of the game (graphics, combat, etc.).

This top-down brawler/shooter mashup is coming soon to the Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and on the PC as a free upgrade.

A new infection spreads and a whole new character is gearing up to do more parkour and zombie-killing in Techland’s latest Dying Light entry. This sequel promises a bigger world, smoother parkour and game-changing decisions based on your choices.

The virus has evolved and it is as deadly as ever. Your main character is an infected survivor. Harness the abilities of the virus and achieve things no one else can. Its four-play co-op mode lets you team up with players in its expansive open-world carnage. It comes out this Spring 2020.

The Fallen Order is a fresh new Star Wars Jedi entry that puts focus on a brand new character set in the familiar galaxy. Set after the events of The Revenge Of The Sith, survive the deadly grip of the Emperor’s infamous Order 66 as you hack and slash your way in the most Jedi way possible.

7. Halo Infinite

Xbox’s iconic sci-fi hero makes a stunning return in this latest entry to the HALO franchise. This next chapter promises the ultimate HALO experience yet. Developed by 343 Industries and powered by their new Slipspace Engine, Infinite is gearing up for greatness.

Master Chief takes center stage once again and with the added focus on cooperative play. Play with your friends in a grand space adventure filled with beautiful vistas, fantastic biomes, and sci-fi action. Unfortunately, there is zero gameplay footage shown during this year’s E3. The devs, however, mentioned that there will be split-screen multiplayer. It’s just like living in the good ol’ days. It comes out this Holiday 2020.

8. Beyond Good & Evil 2

E3 2019 had some great moments but the lack of Beyond Good & Evil 2 updates left fans disappointed. A sequel has been a long time coming. First announced 9 years ago. Beyond Good and Evil 2 is set in a universe where space pirates are a thing. Embark on an epic quest in this action-adventure game from Ubisoft.

A year ago, the release of their gameplay demo showed some promising details, but nothing after that. It showcased a breathtaking open-world scenario with promising gameplay elements, but that’s all we know so far. We hope to hear more about this game in the coming months.

9. Code Vein

Yeah, yeah. Anime Dark Souls, we get it. BANDAI NAMCO’s open world JRPG borrows FromSoftware’s sadistic Soulslike genre. It’s made by the same people who made God Eater, we can assume that this game, set in a post-apocalypse crawling with vampires, will have a solid story.

A gameplay demo is currently out in the wilds right now and you can get your first look as to how the game will work. You can clearly see the inspiration from the Souls series with its Bonfire-lit checkpoints, punishing combat and creepy blood-soaked monsters. Coming September 27th, 2019

10. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint

Ubisoft’s sequel tends to fix the major issues that plague the underperforming Wildlands. Your role remains unchanged. Be a part of the Ghost, an international squad of badass soldiers. Put your skills to the test as you go toe to toe with enemies as smarter and as deadly as you are.

Its cinematic trailers and gameplay footage showed a lot of the game’s promising new additions, including an improved multiplayer mode, drones and the Punisher himself, Jon Bernthal. It comes out this October 4.

11. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey

Coming from the same people who made the Assasin’s Creed franchise, Ubisoft’s historical third-person open-world survival is all about evolution. Set in the never-before-experienced world of Nogene Africa, Explore, expand and evolve as you advance your clan to the next generation. It is filled with detail. The game emphasizes the importance of micro and macro managing.

Traverse a beautiful world gleaming with possibilities. Every player experience is unique as the game relies solely on your approach to survival. It comes out in December 2019.

12. Blair Witch

The horror movie that gave birth to the found-footage genre. Team Bloober, the dudes behind the terrifying Layers of Fear titles, is out to expand the lore of the mysterious Blair Witch.

As a first-person horror game, escape from a deadly and haunted woods that warps and distorts both time and space. Stand against the horrors of the Blair Witch as you make it out alive from the slow descent into madness. It's psychologically chilling and we can’t wait for this game to test our sanity and patience. Coming this August 30, 2019.

13. Borderlands 3

It's been seven long years since the last Borderlands game, which means this upcoming third installment is massive news. We'll get to play as their new vault hunters, Moze, Flak, Amara, and Zane--all of which will be fighting battles outside Pandora for the first time, and using whole artillery of crazy new weapons. Becoming as social as ever, it will offer both singleplayer experiences, as well as online and local split-screen co-op. Teasing us ahead of the release, there's their prequel DLC available for absolutely FREE for owners of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Handsome Jack collection. That is if you get it before July 8th.

Borderlands 3 is coming out on September 13th, 2019.

14. Watch Dogs: Legion

When there's a massive corporate overlord rising, you'll need an even bigger revolution to fight it. That's exactly what this latest Watch Dogs installment is trying to give us. In Legion, you get to play each face of the revolution, and it can be literally everyone. Whether its quiet executive military man, the gnarly skater with a knack for stealth, or the retired grandma that's got the tech for infiltration.

Legion lets you roam around the streets of London and recruit whoever you need into your band of misfits. Find out their strengths, uncover their stories, and bring down corporate whatever way you can. It's coming out on March 6th, 2020.

15. Spiritfarer

Among the crop of upcoming 3D triple-A titles, ThunderLotus stands out with something as simple but magical as their 2D simulation game. In their trailer, Spiritfarer draws you in with the charm of their visuals and music, weaving a nautical tale of building, exploring, foraging, and caring.

Just from the looks of their charming animal characters, majestic backdrops, and lively activity, Spiritfarer already feels like a world you could live in. But, with a tagline includes "learning how to say goodbye" it's pretty upfront about its emotional goals. A management sim that deals with the trials of life, loss, and heartbreak, get ready to have your hearts touched when it releases sometime in 2020

16. Gears 5

One of the premier titles in the Microsoft exclusives roster, it seems they didn't make much of an impression at E3 with their less than informative cinematic trailer. Despite the nearing release date, The Coalition didn't exactly show with the fancy cinematics. We did, however, get a glimpse of game's new three-player co-op mode called Escape which focuses players skills in close quarters combat and survival.

Set 25 years after the last game, we'll be facing off against the new hivemind enemy, The Swarm. Crafted especially to showcase the power of the Xbox One X, we're looking for the smooth, lush, and satisfying shooting experience of their native 4K resolutions. It's set to release on September 10th, 2019

17. Tales of Arise

The latest in the long-running Tales series is one of its most ambitious projects yet. Mixing new and old into one game-changing installment, Tales of Arise builds its foundations on a brand new engine, improving the visuals with richer lighting, watercolor-like graphics, and updated character models, while keeping the cel-shaded effect of the previous titles.

Moving towards realism, the worlds of Dahna and Rhena certainly feel immersive, letting you dive into their complicated, twofold stories set between the two planets. Bandai Namco may have claimed updated combat mechanics for the title, there aren't many signs of it in their latest trailer. A welcome new direction for the series, it's set to release in 2020.

18. Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Ori's magical adventures has been one of the most revered pieces of Metroidvania gameplay in recent times. Praised for it as well as one of Microsoft's most precious exclusives. We've been awaiting this next chapter for more than a year now, and their latest trailer has finally brought us an official release date. In this upcoming sequel, the titular guardian spirit and his friends return with brand new combat maneuvers under their belts.

Fighting off against a slew of new threats and exciting boss battles, there will also be hook shoots, burrowing skills, and the return of Bash to look forward to. Known for its magical atmosphere and moving soundtracks, get ready for another tearjerker of a saga once it releases on February 11, 2020

19. Minecraft Dungeons

Minecraft, like its many universes is an ever-growing franchise and it looks they're expanding into the RPG realm now too, taking notes from classics like the Diablo series. While it's still largely voxel-based, Minecraft Dungeons veers away from their usual first-person style adventures. It dons the familiar isometric perspective, immersing players fully into the dungeon-crawling we loved and still love today. It's still not clear though if this new title will keep with Minecraft's most beloved building mechanics.

On the other hand, it will have a multiplayer mode which lets up to four players team up in local and online co-op. It may not be Diablo 4, but from the looks of the trailer alone, it already seems like a promising lovechild of the two massively popular franchises. It's set to release Spring 2020.

20. Bleeding Edge

Looks like Blizzard's Overwatch is gonna get some competition in their arena of competitive co-ops. Mostly specializing in the singleplayer experience, Ninja Theory--the makers of DmC: Devil May Cry and the recent Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice--is coming out of their comfort zones in a huge way. Wrapped in cartoon aesthetics and suited with charming personalities, Bleeding Edge is more than meets the eye.

A mix of Overwatch and MOBA gameplay, it has ten diverse characters at the moment, each classed under assassin, support, and tank. Each team will have 4 characters on each side battling to take control of bases and take down enemies for that sweet 500 finish. For those looking to learn more about the game, you can sign up for the coming alpha test this June 27th. No release date yet.

21. Skull & Bones

While Ubisoft may have warned us ahead of that their naval combat title wouldn't be at E3, that doesn't mean we're not disappointed. Revealed in 2017, we all hoped it would come out by this time in 2019. Supposedly an expansion of what we saw in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Skull & Bones would let us experience a more focused seafaring experience.

Choose the best ship for your playstyle and pack it with upgrades and artillery that's perfect for plundering. It'll also have more multiplayer features, opening players up to emergent gameplay amid the Indian Ocean piracy. Hit with yet another delay, most gaming sites place next possible release date as sometime in 2020.

22. Control

A lot of veterans are coming back to the fore and one of them is Alan Wake and Max Payne developers, Remedy Entertainment. A studio with a knack for the weird and supernatural, Control follows exactly that blueprint with their exploration of telepathy and telekinesis. With their most recent presentations at E3, we got more of a taste of what's to come.

In combat, we saw of Control's shapeshifting gun and Jesse's powers, and with gameplay, the many puzzles that are waiting to be solved. Its story, though, remains a bit of a mystery. If Remedy Entertainment is to be trusted, we can expect to uncover their SCP-slash-House of Leaves-slash-Twin Peaks inspired storyline when it comes out on August 27th, 2019

23. The Outer Worlds

Fallout: New Vegas may have been a long time ago, the game's blend of action, story, and hilarious dialog are still fresh in our minds. With their upcoming game, Obsidian Entertainment looks to follow it up in a brand new environment. Set in a distant planet, the threat is now less than nuclear meltdown and more of a revolt against the terror corporations.

Outer Worlds shows off Obsidian Entertainment's signatures everywhere you look, from the branching narrative pathways, witty dialog trees, and the little RPG flourishes like options for stealth, diplomacy, and deception. At the moment, The Outer Worlds feels a little too much like their previous hits with its dated visuals but if that's enough for you, then you can look forward to its release on October 25th.

24. Wolfenstein: Youngblood

"Get to kill Nazis!" is a tagline that never gets old and we'll always have the Wolfenstein series to give us our dose. Their latest title may not be the next in the main series after the recent New Colossus, Youngblood holds a lot of promise. Featuring BJ Blazkowicz two twin daughters in the alternate 80s Paris, Youngblood brings co-op shooting back to the fore. It introduces two characters, Soph and Jes, each with their individual personalities and skills.

While the cosmetic microtransactions might be slightly worrying, sharing the co-op experience is made better with the Deluxe edition which has a Buddy Pass system lets you partner up with a friend even if they don't have the game. It's coming out this July 26th.

25. Sea of Solitude

Introduced at last year's E3, EA's gorgeous adventure game comes out of TBA status and into coming soon with the recent announcement of their July release. If it isn't obvious from their title, Sea of Solitude tackles the complex feeling of loneliness. Take on the story of the young Kay as she explores the mysterious cityscape she finds herself in. Set in a unique, dreamlike world, Sea of Solitude's dark characters and creatures play the perfect contrast. A journey of self-discovery, it's gonna be one emotional ride once it comes out on July 5th

He said: "As a creative, the freedom to explore the PUBG universe has me excited about the possibilities, which I view as beyond the battle royale genre." He also confirmed, via Tweet, that it is not a sequel to PUBG.

Not much details were unveiled as of the moment, but it does look like it is gonna be a step higher than Brendan Greene’s PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which was once an Arma 2 mod. It was an industry-defining success and Glen cannot wait for the future of his new project.

Newbie publisher, Striking DIstance, is exploring the PUBG universe with a whole new title
