Another Talon member enters the ever growing list of heroes in Overwatch. Hero 31, nicknamed Sigma, is a former astrophysicist trapped in a constant battle with the laws of science and himself after encountering a catastrophic Space accident.

Its reveal trailer showed some of the Hero’s personality, bringing the concept of real insanity and mad scientists to the table.

Speaking of shifting the meta, Sigma is an exceptional tank hero. His abilities include a defensive move called Kinetic Grasp which absorbs damage and projectiles to convert into protective shields for himself. Accretion is a heavy attack that lets him throw a massive boulder to his enemies with knockback. Experimental Shield sends out a projectile shield akin to Orisa’s that can protect his allies with 1,500 Health.

In addition to that, his main attack is called the Hyper Spheres, a low-damage mid-range projectile similar to Zenyatta’s orbs, but can ricochet through walls and deal blast damage.

Finally, his ultimate ability is the Gravitic Flux, a Black Hole that can send his enemies into the air and slam them down, dealing massive damage.

Hero 31 is but the first of the many ‘teased’ Overwatch heroes coming out this year.

You can test sigma out on the PTR (Public Test Region) right now and play with others. Unfortunately, the PTR is only available for PC users. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users might have to wait before they can test out Talon’s powerful weapon of mass destruction.

1. Greedfall on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

We're getting a new singleplayer RPG experience from Sony, this time under the care of Spider Studio. They don't exactly have the best repertoire and...it kinda shows in the trailers. The graphics and lipsync don't really compare to high tech realism of most modern titles.

Where hope lies though is in the game's 17th century fantasy narrative. It's coming out on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 10th.

2. Rune II

What's in a name? From Rune to Rune: Ragnarok, we come, finally to RUNE II. What's certain is that we're getting a new title from the RUNE universe under Human Head Studios. The fact that it's an Epic Games Store exclusive might be a little annoying to some fans though.

But, co-founder Chris Rhinehart does offer some ease in their continued updates.
Comparing the new trailers to their Pre-alpha, the Viking adventures are definitely getting better. We’ll just have to sit back till its release sometime this summer.

3. Oninaki on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

We were already drooling over this game and we'll drool about it a little bit more. If you haven't heard, the reason this game looks so good is, one, it’s a Square Enix RPG.

And two, it’s under the direction of Takashi Tokita of Chrono Trigger fame. Play as the watcher and use the powers of the lost souls to aid you in your rescue missions. It's set to release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on August 22nd.

Indie games are at it again with their emotional attachment to its characters, story and music. Children of Morta is no different.

Stand up against the evil corruption and defend the Mountain Morta from its doom.

It’s taking the Family Tree concept to its literal sense.
It just had its Demo released and players are enjoying the games visuals and combat. Coming this 3rd of September on the PC, PS4, X1 and Switch.

One of the best looking titles in 2011 is getting a Remastered version for the modern consoles and PC. Finally!
This Studio Ghibli crafted adventure is oozing with beautiful art, a fantastic story and engaging combat.

Players who didn’t have a PS3 back then can finally experience this classic in better quality.

Futuristic sci-fi action is what you get in this improved sequel Deck13’s violent high-tech RPG.
While the first game suffered from mixed reviews, this sequel turns it up a notch with a more ambitious setting and gameplay upgrades.

Nothing will be as satisfying than building your own Exo-Rig and taking down a massive horde of enemies.
Coming this 24th of September on the PC, PS4 and X1.

7. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III

Trails of Cold Steel II just released and already, we can all rest assured that the third installment is on its way. In it, you'll play as Rean Schwarzer and fulfill his role as a new military professor.

Trails of Cold Steel III will continue a year and a half after the second game... and this chapter will put more focus on speeding battles and making it a seamless experience on the whole.
The XSEED localization might raise some eyebrows, but what’s important is its coming to North America as a PS4 exclusive this September 24th.

8. Code Vein on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

It's been two years since its been announced and their souls-like direction has only gotten clearer and clearer. Their latest video showcases the power of the Sword, a fancy item which you can use you chop down all of the game's gnarly looking demons.

Code Vein is bringing Dark Souls action RPG to its true Japanese aesthetics and we're gonna see it live when it comes out on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 27th.

9. The Outer Worlds on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

When it comes to RPGs, everybody knows Obsidian Entertainment. The fruit doesn't fall too far from the tree of their previous achievements. Outer Worlds channels Terry Gilliam in a story of corporate dystopia.

On paper, it's all we ever expected with witty branching dialog, wacky weapons, and a lot of role-playing choices.
The animations....could use a bit of work. Coming to the Epic Games Store, the PS4, and Xbox One this October 25th.

10. Pokemon Sword & Shield

This first core Pokemon game for the Switch. It's the thing we were all excited for.
But, with recent developments, like not getting to complete the Pokedex, there's been some disappointments there too.

On the whole, Sword and Shield is still a promising title. Not only are you getting new Starters, you're getting a whole new set of Pokemon too. With Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing, the scale is just getting bigger...and bigger. It's releasing soon on Nov 15th.

11. Trials of Mana on PC, Switch, and PS4

From not ever getting a western localization, the fans of Mana are getting spoiled with a fancy makeover.
So not only did we get the original version of the third Seiken Densetsu entry in the June Collection of Mana, we're also going to be treated to an improved remake.

The feedback to the trailer is positive so far and we can't wait for its Early 2020 release on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

12. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

We first knew this game as Dragon Ball Project Z. Officially called Kakarot, Bandai Namco makes sure we know that the highlight is going to be Goku and his arc in the Dragon Ball Z series.

Being the most popular arc, you've probably seen and played their moments more than once already.
Hopefully, with the revitalized visuals and improved action RPG gameplay, it'll be worth revisiting the Dragon Ball quest once more. It's coming out in PC, PS4, and Xbox One early next year.

13. Final Fantasy VIII: Remastered on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One

A surprise for everyone last E3, but the world is always a little happier with more Final Fantasy.
This might be Square Enix's way of filling our lives until the very anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake. And we'll take it.

It's just a simple remaster but it means you get to experience the turn-based action and adventure of Squall and his friends with new eyes. It already has its ESRB rating so it'll probably arrive on your PCs and consoles sometime very soon.

14. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 on Xbox One, PC, and PS4

When we say "classic" RPGs, in a way, you can't get as classic as Vampire: The Masquerade. Well, cult classic at least. Far from its pen and paper origins, it's also--we hope--farther away from their 2004 digital debut.

Aside from the clunky facial animations, everyone's pretty happy about it. Continue your vampire adventures in 21st century Seattle and navigate earthly afterlife with their many dialogs and interactions when it comes out first quarter of 2020.

15. Torchlight Frontiers on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Relive the glory days of your 8 year old self in this rekindled flame of the Torchlight experience.
Frontiers finally embraces the game’s well sought-out online mechanic.

We can finally team up with our friends and other players in a shared, vibrant world. With all new classes to choose from and a huge map to discover, it feels like 2009 all over again. Coming sometime this year on the PC, PS4 and X1.

16. Final Fantasy VII: Remake

Remakes and Japan work well together. The next step of Square’s most celebrated Final Fantasy entry is nearing its release and its list of new content is fueling our hype.

Exchanging turn-based gameplay for slick hack and slash combat, control Cloud and the rest of the FF gang and liberate Midgar from the corrupt Shinra. Magic, huge swords, lovely ladies and memorable characters, this Remake is bound to get more beautiful once it comes out on PS4 on March 3 next year.

17. Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4

The hype becomes more palpable in each passing day as CD Projekt Red continues to tease us with new info about their ambitious RPG title. 2077 has everything. That includes Keanu Reeves, flying cars, neon lights and evil corporations slowly taking over the world.

Staying true to its table-top roots, make your own character and choose your own adventure as you hustle and bustle your way in this brutal technopathic society in stylish first person combat. We still have a city to burn, so brace yourselves once the game comes out this April 16, 2020 for the PC, X1 and PS4.

18. Griftlands

Klei Entertainment is moving on from their gothic undertones and into a science fiction card game. Griftlands combine two headache-inducing genres in one package: rogue-like and strategy.

Negotiate your way through a broken extraterrestrial world by crafting your own deck. Just like Slay the Spire, every level gets increasingly difficult and maybe, just maybe, your patience is getting thin. This is a fresh title from Klei and for any fans of the strategy genre, this is something you should look forward to. Coming this June 2020 on the PC.

19. Wasteland 3 on PC, PS4, and XBox One

The icy hell of post-apocalyptic Colorado isn’t as friendly as it was before in this much-awaited installment to the Wasteland series. We’ve come a long way from its 1988 release. As a fan-funded project, it’s never easy.

The party-based RPG is stepping up their game with asynchronous multiplayer, solid single-player experience and strategic turn-based gameplay. That means whether you want a friend, or not, you still get to taste the horrors and atmosphere of this frozen wasteland. Still in development, the game is slated for a 2020 release on the PC, PS4 and X1, let’s hope the wait isn’t that long.

20. Digimon Survive on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Digimon are still alive and relevant in the year 2020. Bandai Namco really knows their player base well enough to offer a more mature story with impactful decision making moments. As the protagonists, you’re stuck to survive in another world.

Sticking to their Digivolution mechanic, your choices throughout the story will greatly affect your Digimon’s growth. It’s supposed to come out this July, but it was later delayed to 2020. Coming to the PS4, X1, Switch and PC.

21. Persona 5: The Royal

The enhanced version of the PlayStation 4’s most beloved JRPG title is back for more good music and heart-stealing. No, it’s not a battle royale game. The Royal is no regular re-release. It’s a standalone expansion for Persona 5.

Giving you access to new storylines, Confidants and even a new playable character to date and maybe fool around with. It’s still the same Persona 5 with the same story and ending, but with added depth to some of its missing points from the original title. It comes out sometime this 2020.

22. Haven

Haven is a co-op adventure where you and a partner can go Adam and Eve and survive a harsh new planet.
Essentially a game made for two lovers, or maybe friends, it could be played in Solo if =you’re really that lonely. This hostile environment has no room for weakness.

Go hand in hand with your partner as you stop foes from tearing your love apart. Sounds cheesy on paper, but the game actually does justice to that concept as far as we can tell. Coming this 2020.

23. Tales of Arise on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

It’s been awhile since we had a new Tales game set in another world with new characters. Tales Of Arise promises to be as ambitious as their last entries. Mixing anime tropes and hardcore combat, Arise doesn’t slow down with their flashy special effects and memorable characters.

Giving us the right balance of gameplay and story in its divided world.
Details are pretty scarce at the moment, but the game comes out sometime this 2020 on the PC, PS4 and X1 so stay tuned.

24. NiOh 2

The game that was supposed to be Japanese Dark Souls until FromSoftware made their own “Japanese Dark Souls” called Sekiro. NiOh 2 will be a step in the right direction.

It just had its Alpha Test recently, showcasing the graphical and gameplay improvements of the game and let me tell you, it’s looking good so far. Of course, the game is still tough, and it feels like you just want to throw your controller hoping to kill the boss that owned you 10 times already. There’s no way they’re nerfing difficulty. No release date yet unfortunately.

25. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Okay. We've already been waiting more than seven years, so what's a bit more, right?

Joking aside, getting an actual release date for this game that's seemingly been in development for literally forever is still unlikely. BUT, last March 29, we did get news of a coming closed BETA for the multiplayer aspect of this long-awaited RPG. So, it does look like things ARE happening here.

We'll just have to see where this very small lead takes us. We are patiently waiting with you.

Unfortunately, PC players might have to wait a bit longer for their ‘Winter’ release.

CAPCOM’s upcoming DLC introduces the series’ fan-favorite monsters.

Monster Hunter Iceborne expansion adds Glavenus, Brachydios; Two Monster Subspecies

For anyone looking forward to the latest on their yearly derbys and championships, here’s our list of fifteen racing games to look forward to.

1. FIA European Truck Racing Championship on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch

We’ve seen all kinds of racing games from stock cars to F1s. You know what we don’t get enough of? TRUCKS. And if you think this is a joke, you’d be wrong. The FIA European Truck Racing Championship is a legit AF brand complete with real-life tracks, trucks, and racers.

In this installment, you’ll hopefully get to meet them all. Drive the big boys through 5 singleplayer modes, and 3 multiplayer modes, as the Championship’s 20 best teams. A whole new experience for racing fans, it’s coming out on the PC and consoles this July.

2. MXGP 2019 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

It’s another year, and another title for all you moto fans out there. While it’s always a happy day to be getting a new moto title, these days, MXGP hasn’t exactly had the best reputation. When it comes to graphics, their latest gameplay preview is looking pretty good.

However, fans have been waiting on MXGP to put more focus on the much awaited ruts feature. It doesn’t look they’ve improved too much on that regard. If you’re a player on PC, PS4, and Xbox One you’ll have to wait and see this August 27th.

3. WRC 8 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

After skipping 2018, the official game for the World Rally Championship is back. What with the not-so awesome ratings of their last game, WRC 8 is under a lot of pressure to perform.

From the looks of the trailer, it’s good, with visuals that border on realism. With every racing game hitting the mark on those terms, it’s hard to see how WRC is going to compete. It’s one of the main criticisms of the series: it doesn’t quite measure up to the rest in the rally game market. Hopefully, with dynamic weather systems and improved career modes, this comeback will prove well worth the investment. It’s coming out on PC and consoles on Sep 3rd, 2019.

4. NASCAR Heat 4 on PS4, PC, and Xbox One

There’s a new NASCAR Heat title coming and honestly the expectations aren’t high. Monster Games is still handling this installment and in the first look, we can definitely see a lot of improvements on the graphics side.

What most people are wondering though is if the improvements stretch out beyond face value and into the physics too--one of the primary gripes against the NASCAR series. Where accuracy is concerned, we know HEAT 4 is gonna bring us the best in NASCAR racing and its coming on Sep 13th, 2019.

5. GRID on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

While we're on the subject of comebacks, here’s a good one. This will be the latest entry to the TOCA subseries, with the last title being GRID: Autosport way back in 2014. The good news is Codemasters is still heading this production, so the expectations are pretty high, especially with the moderate success of the previous installment.

Grid will be developed under the consultation of famed Formula One racer, Fernanando Alonso, and will feature cars from GT Le Mans. Codemasters are one of the racing masters, and we're looking forward to another title that balances accessibility and realism on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One this October 11th.

6. Overpass on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch

The racing game that takes ‘all-terrain’ in its literal form. Drive on water? Sure. How about a stack of logs? No problem. Overpass has it covered. Make a deal with nature as you take control a number of buggies in a quest to finish a number of course s in a short time. Sounds easy, but you have to consider the game’s realistic physics and multiple pathways.

With over 20 vehicles to choose from and 40 demanding tracks, things are about to get real challenging when you realize that there are roads that you couldn’t really travel. Coming this 15th of October on the PC, X1, PS4 and Switch.

7. Pacer on Xbox One and PlayStation 4

This is a far cry from the other, more realism-based titles on this list but its beautiful nonetheless.Pacer doesn't deal with cars or the laws of physics. Instead, it's got a lot more creative freedom, bringing us the thrills of anti-gravity racing.

Fly off into the future of 2075 and customize your own hovercraft to race smoothly along their 6 race modes and 8 different tracks. Unlike realistic racing that relies on skill, Pacer adds another layer of competition with weapons like energy bolts, mines, and so much more.

It's leaving its PC Early Access roots as Formula Fusion, Pacer is officially coming out sometime this year with free updates for existing Steam users and a first entry to the PS4 and Xbox One.

8. Electro Ride

This game's fighting against an image of a gray Russia with an alternate history set in a neon-filled Moscow. Electro Ride isn't hiding its arcade-ness from anyone. There's a pretty elaborate backstory at play here where you'll get to ride through a still socialist Eastern Bloc padded with 80s pinks and purples.

It's all about the night races in Electro Ride, and you get to choose between carving your path in night racing championships, breaking your own records, or challenging friends for the high scores. If you're in any way interested in neon and bringing down the capitalist underbelly of socialist moscow, you can look forward to this game on your PCs sometime in 2019.

9. Need For Speed 2019 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the NFS franchise, things are about to get more heated as the anarchic street racers continue their shenanigans. It’s unfortunate that they weren’t around at this year’s E3, but hey, at least we know the game is finally confirmed.

Prepare to piss off more cops as a street racer that aims to revitalise the disparity between these two groups in an eternal urban conflict. Too bad that’s the only thing we know about this game. No news about its release date yet, but their aiming for sometime in 2019.

10. Circuit Superstars on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One

Circuit Superstars dips us into the beauty of arcade racing. Arcade as it is though, it's nothing to snub your nose at, especially since it's been described by engadget as the "Forza" microracing. Engagdet also likened its top-down perspective and cartoon visuals to Codemasters' Micromachines. While the last Micromachines didn't do so hot, Circuit Superstars is shaping up pretty well.

Already it seems more graphically advanced. Its physics looks promising than most, and its gameplay that includes PvP and pit stop management is enticing to say the least. If you're excited, you can hopefully find on PC and console stores in 2020.

11. TT Isle Of Man 2 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

One of the most dangerous sporting events in the world gets another installment to their motorsport racing title. This time, they’re trying to live up to its reputation. In this latest entry, the devs promised that anyone can finally get a real taste of what riders pull off during these courses.

There’s not enough details as of the moment. The game’s main focus is improving the ‘riding experience’. Unfortunately, no release date yet. However, there will be more info in the coming months since the game is scheduled to come out this 2020.

12. Gran Turismo 7

One of the granddaddy’s of Sony’s racing scene is back, but there’s still so much stuff to do before we get to taste burnt rubber. There’s really not much information about this game yet, but rumors are buzzing saying that this title will be coming out on the PlayStation 5 as a launch title.

Polyphony, the developers, are still hard at work creating additional content for Gran Turismo Sport, so it’s gonna be awhile before we get our hands on this elusive GT7. No release date yet.

13. Project CARS 3 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Yes, this beautiful-looking motorsport racing simulator is still getting a threequel, and it’s looking pretty ambitious so far.

Still very early in pre-production, Slightly Mad Studios promises a more focused and fun driving experience compared to the seriousness of most of the racing games on this list. They’re not taking the sandbox element of their previous games but it is shifting to something promising that their ‘simulator’ genre can handle.

Too bad there aren’t any gameplay footage or trailers available at the moment and obviously no release date yet.

14. GTR 3

After months of development silence, the guys and girls at Simbin Studios’ is back into business with their next racing installment. Running on the Unreal Engine 4, expect the visuals to completely blow you away.

Aside from its huge graphical overhaul, the game’s day to night transition is as dynamic as ever with environmental effects that will test your skills on the road. GTR 3 still continues the tradition of including official licenses, which means better and expensive cars are gonna show up anytime soon. The game has no release date yet.

15. Drift19

Every racing game is a direct competition to the other titles sharing the same set of rules Drift19 tries to up their ante in this realistic and serious drifting simulator.

Putting into focus the history of what “Drift” really means, ready yourself as you customize classic drift cars and tune them to perfection.

Compete in various challenges and events as you flex your hard-earned machine and put them into the dusty tracks. It has enough customizable features so spending hours and hours in the garage is no surprise. No release date yet, but it’s coming to the PC soon.

We pick fifteen racing video games scheduled to release between 2019 and 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, ranging from competitive racers to driving simulations.

Closed Beta for Bless Unleashed is LIVE...But Not For Long!

It’s another month off the year, and that means we’ve got a whole new bunch of free games for the mobile. Here are June’s Top 15 Free Games for Android and iOS, arranged by playscore. Keep track of all latest mobile releases by checking our newly-released Android page and new iOS games list.

15. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite on iOS and Android

It's been a while since the end of the Harry Potter Saga but other than JK Rowling's very insistent retcons, there are other elements at play in keeping the spirit of the series alive.

Following in the footsteps Pokemon GO, Harry Potter brings us right into the heart of the action. Using the magic of augmented reality, jump into the Wizarding World as one of three professions and fulfill your duties in the various locations mirroring our own. Wield powerful spells against dangerous foes, capture mythical beasts, and keep the world of magic away from the eyes of the world. Strictly no muggles allowed, it has a playscore of 7.87.

14. Talking Tom Hero Dash

Talking Tom is taking newer and bigger adventures. You used to know him as a ratty old smartphone pet but he’s actually been expanding his experiences.

This month, that leads him into the eventful world of crime fighting. In his new game you can run, jump, and fly across the game's five different worlds. It's an endless runner with endless delights, like collecting loot, rescuing friends, and making use of exciting new superpowers.

Already with 4 million peregistrants before the game even released.Talking Tom the hero has finally arrived and he's everything we deserved. It has a playscore of 7.95.

13. Sprint RPG

Our next game might be new, its developers has its own legion of fans. If you’ve heard of Nitrome Studios, then you’ll know they were responsible for games like Leap Day, Drop Wizard Tower, Gunbrick, and so many other awesome games that kind of pretty much follow the same pattern of cute pixel titles that have their own je nais se quois. Well, Sprint RPG is..kind of just that.

It adds another feather to their cap, so to speak, with a dungeon crawler that's basically more of a sprint. Taking on the form of a monochrome, low-res pixel aesthetic--again--Sprint RPG puts a lightning twist on the traditional labyrinth exploration and monster destruction.

Navigate the twists and turns of their dungeons and whack whatever monster comes in your way. Either the level ends or you do. Simple. But with a timer that penalizes your every move, it’s harder than it looks, earning it a score of 7.99.

12. Auto Chess: Origin

So if you've somehow wandered into the internet watercoolers of nerds the world over--between now and six months ago--Auto Chess would be very familiar to you. Recently, they've opted to settle themselves into better digs. Out of the Valve Engines, and into a standalone version of their own creation.

They have since removed all the Dota items and units from their collection, leaving only the somewhat pure essence of their strategy game that took the world by storm. Autochess: Origin is unique in the sense that it combines card game mechanics and real-time action into one. Synergize your units, put them into optimum formation, and watch the combat unfold until the next round begins.

Even on this android version, the possibilities are still endless and it earns a Provisional playscore 8.02.

11. Nonstop Knight 2

Flaregames brings together another set of terrifying bosses in this second installment of their roleplaying game.

In this sequel, there's not only more exciting battles and bosses to defeat, there's also new upgrades, skills, and weapons to collect and equip. While it’s a direct sequel to the first Nonstop Knight, the gameplay does veer away from some of its original mechanics.

The world of dungeons is still there, but Nonstop Knight isn't exactly non-stop anymore. The fights are harder, and with that comes a load of new loot, and a guild system that lets AI-controlled knights join you in your quest.

It's certainly different, and some people were a little disappointed. It may have earned itself a whole new audience though with a more than decent score of 8.06.

10. Wild Bullets

You might think demons in the wild, wild west an uncommon sight, BUN GUN has a few groundbreaking ideas of their own. For one, with Wild Bullets they take on the full arcade effect with the retro pixel aesthetic....So it's not really groundbreaking, but it sure is fun.

Wild Bullets has two different game mode. First, there's Story Mode, where you take on the shoes of the noble sheriff who journeys to defeat the four demonic bosses--and their minions--and save the town once and for all. If you're pressed for time, you can also let the town take care of itself while you shoot it out in arcade mode for that elusive high score.

Wild Bullets is wilder than your ordinary spaghetti high noons and it has a Provisional playscore of 8.08.

9. Grimvalor

If folks on the iOS are to be believed, THIS is one of the finest hack and slash games on the mobile. Last June it arrived on the Android. Unlike the iOS, Grimvalor on the Android is a free to play demo. Which means you only get only one chapter to try your hands at their renowned hack and slash action.

What makes Grimvalor so loved isn't just that it's visually stunning with its dark dungeons and cool looking monsters. It's also that it's punishing yet highly satisfying.

If it earned a few Dark Souls comparisons, it earned it pretty well. Button mashing has no power here and you'll be forced to keep reading enemy patterns and move accordingly. It has a playscore of 8.57.

8. HELI 100

Get into the choppa because that’s all you’re gonna be doing in this fast-paced shoot’ em up game.

Blast your way through an army of flying alien armies and unleash total destruction using your powerful weapons. There’s really not much to talk about aside from making it through levels and swiping left and right to avoid dying. At least we get to collect cool helicopters. It receives a playscore of 8.76. It’s easy to pick up.

7. Game Of Trenches: WW1 Strategy

There’s no shortage of strategy games on the mobile. This World War 1 game puts you in the position of a commander as you lead your army to victory.

It’s the usual Clash of Clans-like gameplay where you train your troops, upgrade your base, or wage war against other players if you feel like it.

The choices are all up to you, like finding that perfect military gear from German, Russian, Ottoman, French, or American. It has a provisional playscore of 8.77.

6. Dota Underlords

Oh boy. Valve’s very own take on the auto-chess genre isn’t a whole lot different from Drodo’s original Autochess game.

The rules remain the same, select and power up your army of Dota heroes and survive a skirmish between other players. Learn to synergize hero types to ultimately change the tide of battle.

Although, we have to admit, the game has an insane learning curve. If you’re already familiar with the items and heroes of the Dota, this might be your way to go. Taking Artifact as its bloody sacrifice, it receives a playscore of 8.79.

5. Knight Brawl

Release all of life’s frustrations in this whacky brawler from Brad Erkkila. Grab your sword and enter a world of ridiculous gladiator battles.

There’s no better way to describe it. It’s a chaotic and cartoony version of every medieval combat ever made. Knight Brawl is simple, somewhat stupid, but it gets the job done with its fun multiplayer parties. It receives a playscore of 8.89.

4. Climbing Flail

As for Korigames’ mobile game, it’s all about the climb. Their physics-powered puzzler pushes the lengths of the mobile genre. All you have to do is defy the laws of science and not lose your grip on the whole situation.

I mean, all that's easy, compared to, say, having to avoid spinning saws, venomous snakes, and other dangerous things that probably shouldn't have been there in the first place?

Don’t worry, once you reach the top, you can take a photo to celebrate your outstounding victory. It has a Provisional playscore of 8.96.

3. Starscapes

Who needs Candy Crush when you have an oversaturated market full of match-three puzzle games? Well, we still get to see stuff blowing up in colorful fashion. Instead of collecting candy, you get to collect adorable creatures called the Starmates and defeat the notorious Keplers.

Evolve your collected Starmates and watch them grow into your own little space Tamagotchi. It’s like Pokemon meets Candy Crush, so there’s something interesting to improve in every level. It has a Provisional playscore of 9.69.

2. Fury Survivor: Pixel Z

There’s always that zombie game in every mobile list, and Fury Survivor: Pixel Z is this month’s free pickings. It’s kill or be killed. A dangerous virus has spread all over the world and you have no choice but to become a ruthless killer.

Although its pixel visuals are refreshing to watch, its endless slaughter of the undead is more satisfying. Build your camp, scavenge for food and of course, equip your hero with the most badass weapons in the planet and survive this living nightmare. A provisional playscore of 9.79.

1. Shop Titans: Design & Trade

2019 is the year when we can finally build our own virtual shop at the palm of our hands. Shop Titans makes use of the medieval economy by helping out lowly adventurers and selling them powerful merch for them to defend the strange land against evil monstrosities.

As the town’s renowned craftsman, all you have to do is create powerful weapons and help the heroes gear up. Think of it as a congregation of all the various NPC’s in every video game ever. Invest in the medieval fantasy stock market by trading epic and powerful weapons. Instead of gitting gud, it’s about getting rich.

While it earned some high praise from gamers, it’s one and only critic, Gamezebo, wasn’t quite as impressed, calling it out for what seems like a pay to win system. It has a provisional playscore of 9.79.

25. Generals & Rulers

The main gripes to this "strategy" from Hamsters Gaming is one, its trailer, that feels more like a management training ad than a game.

Two, there's really not much strategy involved. What makes generals & rulers good is that it distills the whole world domination thing into something anyone with an hour or two can do. That on top of its attractive UI makes it more than worthy of its provisional playscore of 8.

24. Timespinner

Retro style might be grating and overused in the hands of lesser developers, but, Lunar Ray Games and Chucklefish always lends the highest respect for the era, making their games feel like they're pulled right out of the 90s. Timespinner, luckily, has that going for it.

While some critics weren't satisfied with the game's challenges...and the way it utilizes its time-bending mechanics, it still plays pretty well on the Switch. As an accessible Metroidvania that might even play to fans of Chrono Trigger. It has a provisional playscore of 8.13.

23. Collection of Mana

Speaking of "taken right out of the 90s," Square Enix has some ideas of their own.
Collection of Mana spans the spinoff trilogy that began with Final Fantasy Adventure in 1991, the subsequent and acclaimed RPG Secret of Mana, and, perhaps the most exciting for fans in the United States, the localization of Trials of Mana.

It fulfills its duty of bringing together the Seiken Densetsu games as it's known in Japan. If a little age and clunkiness doesn't scare you too much, it's a great little package with a rating of 8.16

22. Contra Anniversary Collection on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Switch

Contra explodes into the scene of Konami’s 50th anniversary. We can't tell, though, whether or not this helps with their coming shooter, Contra Rogue Cops, that's far removed from their 2D roots. This gathers round ALL 10 games of the series into one.

A solid collection for fans, but it was a little pricey for others, considering that some of them are effective duplicates of the other titles. It gets its highest score of 8.20 on the PS4, with provisional scores on the PC, Xbox One, and Switch.

21. Super Neptunia RPG on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch

The personified console gang might've been breaking planar boundaries, they don't seem to be up to snuff with their iconic, real-life counterparts. While they got some decent reviews from players on Steam, Artisan Studios' Super Neptunia RPG had more than a few issues on the PS4, and especially on the Switch.

While there are minor gripes against their unfamiliar aesthetic, more serious criticisms like bugs, gameplay issues, and other technical hiccups haunt the two console ports. It gets a score of 8.21 on the PC, 7.25 on the PS4, and 6.37 on the Switch.

20. Vacation Simulator

Hey, even robots get stressed by the daily 9 to 5. The return of Owlchemy Labs takes you out of the four walls of their job simulator, and into the sunny isles--or snowy peaks--of a fully optimized robot vacation.

While it's set in a whole new environment, Vacation Simulator stays true to its roots. It's no mechanical breakthrough, but it's as hilarious a puzzle-solving experience as the original, getting a playscore of 8.25 on the PS4.

19. Quake II RTX

The future is..1997.

This latest "version" of the more than 2 decades old FPS might cost you an arm and a leg to fully experience.
What RTX basically means is that it uses the ray-tracing technology that renders realistic lighting for each scene...in real-time. It’s a state of the art tech that’s mostly been used in today’s big-budget movies.

This is NVIDIA’s baby steps towards the future. While it’s a struggle to play for anyone without the RTX 2060, with some renderer workarounds, you’ll at least get a modern Quake II experience in your hands.

For gamers on Steam, every bit counts with a score of 8.26.

18. Trover Saves the Universe

Your favorite voices from Rick and Morty are out exploring--no, saving----the universe in a whole new set of bodies. First released on the PS4, this month it landed on the PC and it got most of the same the praise as it did on its debut.

It's short and simple, as most VR games go, but it'll be fun for anyone who's a fan of creator Roiland's irreverent, profanity-riddled flavor. And for anyone disappointed by the short length and steep asking price, there IS a free DLC in the works so there's more Trover content coming for you either way.
It receives a squanching playscore of 8.28.

17. Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary on PC and Xbox One

What might be today's god of all marketing strategies. Gearbox Software surprises fans of the series with a good old bonus DLC for--wait for it--absolutely free.

Borderlands has already had a history of great expansions. And, far from just setting the stage for the third installment--which it apparently does well--this Lilith DLC adds to that long history.

Packed with classic borderlands story, humor, and loot, it gets you begging for more, garnering provisional playscores of 8.37 on the PC, and 8.10 on the Xbox One.

16. Slay the Spire

Developed by Mega Crit Games, it might not look like much but this game has been one of the hottest titles since its release on the PC and PS4. Now, it comes to the Switch.

With card games falling off the trend, Slay the Spire's use of turn-based and roguelike mechanics make for an addictive mix that will push you to keep getting better.

Without the hassle of narratives, you can feel fully immersed in the action which never gets old thanks to its branching paths and many randomly generated surprises. The game has a score of 8.41.

15. SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE

There isn't much you can expect from videogame tie-ins for movies. They're hit and miss. But, while they missed with last year's Homecoming VR, Sony definitely hit the mark with Far From Home. Leveling up the VR experience is a bit much considering it's still a 20-minute videogame with not much replay value.

Far From Home, though, drives home that "you can be Spiderman" feel. There's a story mode that lets you experience the danger of fighting drones, and there's also Free Play that lets you swing around New York as you please. Awesome AND Free, it has a playscore of 8.42.

14. SENRAN KAGURA Reflexions

After all the hot and heavy fighting they do, girls need a bit of rest. In this game, that rest is your job...and enjoyment. Tamsoft's Senran Kagura knows their audience and for a low low price, you'll get to fulfill your dreams of giving your beloved waifus the relaxation they need.

While caressing and massaging is fun, Reflexions also comes with a storyline that will lead you through 7 different storylines and endings. It’s making a more successful debut on the PC with a playscore of 8.47.

13. Cadence Of Hyrule: Crypt Of The Necrodancer featuring The Legend of Zelda

Uhhh yes, you heard that right. Definitely made for avid fans of all the franchises named, this rhythmic-adventure game from Brace Yourself Games is a crossover you never knew you needed. Link and Zelda play by the rules of the Crypt of the NecroDancer’s gameplay as they jive to the beat of randomly generated dungeons in tile-based fashion.

It’s a fanservice none expected, but welcomed. It’s packed with some smooth and remixed Zelda tunes with easter eggs and even notable bosses. This game receives a score of 8.50.

12. Super Mario Maker 2

There’s always enough room for Mario, especially in Nintendo’s hybrid console. Of course, everyone knows how Mario games work. Exercise your creativity in this content-packed workshop made for true Mario and platformer fans.

It has everything you could imagine in a Mario game: an endless supply of Mario content that comes along with pre-built courses, and fun co-op levels to mess around with friends. Super Mario Maker 2 is as big as its predecessor, and with the Switch’s capabilities, it does get better as it receives a playscore of 8.46.

11. My Friend Pedro on PC and Switch

There’s not enough games that make us LOOK COOL. Thankfully for Devolver, DeadToast's My Friend Pedro has it covered.
Remember the movie WANTED? Imagine that, but with a talking Banana to back you up.

This action-packed shoot ‘em up is all about killing every thug you see with STYLE. It’s a violent ballet of bullets and blood. If you’ve seen enough gameplay videos, you know what we’re talking about. It receives a playscore of 8.63 on the PC and 7.81 for the Switch.

10. Ideology In Friction

We’re not even sure how this game made it to the PC. ONEONE1 sure does give us some questionable content, but it does provide fun to those who’re into this kind of stuff.

Basically, you control two knights as they embark on an RPG adventure courtesy of its customization features. It’s pretty much like any other JRPG’s but with a bit of… sexual content. So uhh... If you want this game, it receives a reasonable playscore of 8.64.

9. Judgment

SEGA’s spin-off to the famed Yakuza series is in the form of a Park Chan-Wook movie. Part thriller, part action-adventure, embark on a more serious take on crime-filled Japan.

Instead of spending time in Karaoke bars, you get to solve cases and get the job done using your wits and your fists. It received positive praise due to its gameplay, story, and graphics. It has a playscore of 8.65 on the PlayStation 4.

8. F1 2019 Anniversary Edition on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

How about another round of racing in this annual Formula game from Codemasters. Like every other installment, it gets better every year.

But this is no ordinary 2019 version. This Anniversary Edition boasts a handful of new stuff including two classic cars: The Ferrari F10 and the McLaren MP4-25. If you’re a huge fan of the Formula One series, this version is an added experience. Nothing much has changed in terms of gameplay. It has a playscore of 8.69 on the PC and an 8.59 and an 8.53 for the PS4 and Xbox One, respectively.

7. Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch

Start your engines because Crash Team Racing gets a nitrous boost in this remake of the original CTR that shaped our childhood. Beenox's Nitro-Fueled goes full-throttle with its crazy reimagining of our favorite Crash Bandicoot characters in all their glory.

Aside from the reworked visuals, the stakes are even higher in this version as it's packed with more content than usual with more tracks, characters and better multiplayer. PlayStation 4 gets a playscore of 8.81 and the others receive a 7.90 and 7.91.

6. Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Switch

Definitely one of the highlights for this month. Koji Igarashi’s exploration-focused Metroidvania is something different, yet familiar compared to other games coming out this year. It’s as gothic as it can be. Just like its original inspiration. Castlevania, enter a mysterious castle plagued with demonic threats and use a variety of abilities to take them down.

Balancing its lush 2.5D graphics with a solid and engaging story, Ritual of the Night doesn’t hold back with its massive amount of content. It receives of playscore for the PS4 with 8.86 and the rest of the consoles follow.

5. Car Mechanic Simulator on PS4 and Xbox One

It’s always a joy to see simulators flourishing. From Farms to VR Jobs, this genre is something really different. Built for educational purposes, unleash that inner Greasemonkey inside of you as you build and expand your own repair service.

Now out on the consoles, this wonderful mechanical experience is something everyone should go through, especially when you just had your driver’s license. Maximum Games' Car Mechanic Simulator receives a playscore of 8.89 and 8.84.

4. AMID EVIL

If anyone wants a slightly toned down version of Quake, this title from New Blood and Indefatigable is something for you.
Mixing fast-paced First Person Shooter and fantasy, use a variety of magical relics to slay enemies and take back the ancient lands.

Aside from the power of the Unreal Engine 4, this brutal shooter has some snazzy colors that could even run on toaster PCs. Amidst all the endless evil, the game is great with a playscore of 8.90.

3. Mushroom Cats

A point and click games about cats is all we need right now. Set inside the magical land of Toadstool, help these pawsome creatures thrive… for free.

Well, to be honest, there’s really nothing to do except for dressing these creatures to survive the harsh winter. So just sit back, relax and enjoy these adorable critters do their thing in this strange world by Anatoliy. A playscore of 9.39 on the PC.

2. Reventure

Indie games are something. What they lack in budget, they compensate for their unique stories. Pixelatto's Reventure is what you call a Metagame. It’s self-aware and it’s not shy to tell you how to do things the way they want it to be. As a wannabe hero, fulfill quests and make choices with whatever floats your boat.

It’s not a non-linear adventure and as crazy as it sounds, it has 100 different endings. That’s something the Witcher and Skyrim couldn’t hold a candle to. It has a provisional playscore of 9.46.

1. Muse Dash on PC and Nintendo Switch

Oh, boy. PeroPeroGames isn’t slowing down with the waifu-fest in this cute, albeit silly rhythm game.
You know it’s all about the fanservice. Mixing traditional music game and simple platformer isn’t something new nowadays, but the presence of these adorable anime ladies makes you want to lock your bedroom door for hours if you know what I mean.

How did this game even get to Nintendo’s moral standards? Anyhow, it receives a playscore of 9.75 on the PC and 7.50 on the Switch.

EA’s commercially successful sports game isn’t going away anytime soon. This annual football title continues the pride and glory of America’s beloved sports activity.

It’s pretty much the same thing, really. If you’re a huge fan of the Madden franchise, you might be glad to know that its Superstar Mode is getting better. And of course, knowing that it’s EA who developed this game, there’s always microtransactions. As much as possible, stay away from it. As tempting as it may sound, it’s not really that game-changing.

But the joy in every Madden game is its multiplayer. Grab your friends and enjoy football fun with some improved mechanics. It comes out this 2nd of August.

2. Age of Wonders: Planetfall on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Planetfall holds more than a few surprises for the Age of Wonders series--biggest of all is the move from their usual fantasy settings to the realm of science fiction. With a whole new cast of factions, you won’t be seeing your old rogue and druid friends anymore. But don’t you worry, the evil penguins are here to stay.

Planetfall explores a future that follows the mysterious end of the Star Union, leaving three factions vying for survival and eventually domination. You’ll be taking picks from six factions at the start. From bio-obsessed Amazons, the cyborg assemblies, the sly Syndicates, The ultra industrial Dvar, The once enslaved Kir’Ko...and the Vanguards pushing to rebuild the Union.

It’s Age of Wonders taking on the diplomacy of Paradox’s grand strategies With a promise of more complexity, there’s a lot to look forward to when it comes to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on Aug 6th.

3. Guacamelee! One-Two Punch Collection on PS4 and Xbox One

The Guacamelee series has been showering the platforms with the colors of Mexico's rich culture… since their PS Vita days. This combo edition, however, gives you the complete experience.

This One-Two Punch Collection has both Guacamelee’s Super Turbo Championship Edition and the sequel... Guacamelee 2. Sure, it took a while for developer Drinkbox Studios to master the art of bringing two games into one package, but now, it’s finally coming out on the PS4 and Switch this August 6th.

4. The Lord of the Rings: Adventure Card Game on PS4 and XBox One

Recent fantasy games have been making money off of deriving ideas from big man Tolkien for years. Now, Middle Earth is cashing in too and the great battle against the darkness is now in digital cardgame format.

The game does seem visually similar to popular cardgames like Hearthstone. But, unlike these games, LOTR the cardgame is more focused solo and cooperative play and less on PvP.

Build yourself a powerful deck and lead up to three heroes to a quest against Sauron’s forces. It’s coming out on the PS4, Xbox One and Switch this August 8th.

5. Stellaris: Utopia on Xbox One and PlayStation 4

Planetfall wasn’t the only Paradox Interactive title this month. The first expansion to their 4X space exploration game is also coming to the consoles.

Judging from how brief the release date trailer was and how little info we have, it probably has the same features as the PC version.

Have fun colonizing space with megastructures and build your galactic empire on the backs of star energy and ethics-less hive minds. Coming out August 13th.

6. Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Edition

The ultimate edition of the asymmetrical horror game that’s been haunting the PC is coming to the Switch.
Friday the 13th is pretty much like Dead by Daylight where its killer vs survivor and you’ll never which one you’ll be.

Some reviews would put its other versions at the level of “decent at best.” If you have the Switch and are really into gorey messes, then this will still be good news.

There really aren’t much footage of the upcoming Switch title, but according to their previous trailers, the ultimate slasher edition will have complete sets of clothes, emotes, weapons, and kill animation your psycho-loving heart could ever desire. Watch out for the release on Aug 13th.

7. Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution!

The old gameboy days just might be back with a new portable Yu Gi Oh game coming to the Switch. What makes this new game special is it seems to be one of the biggest Yu Gi Oh titles yet. Not only does it have the legendary Yami Yugi but also his humble successor Jaden Yuki.

On top of that, Legacy of the Duelist has most of the special summons of the series, including the cool new Link Summon. Which you can use to bring out their 9000 strong collection. It feels like one of the most comprehensive Yu Gi Oh games in the series and it’s coming out August 20th.

8. RAD on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch

Double Fine Studios is breaking out of the Psychonauts shell. I mean yes, they did that with Broken Age too, in 2014. And that turned out pretty well for them. That makes us seem a little more confident in what they have in store for us now. And what they have for us is a post apocalyptic roguelike game set in the weird 80s.

Overused concepts, yes, but RAD brings in mutations into the mix. With the repetitiveness of roguelike, it feels like that will add enough variety to escapades you’ll be embarking in.

We only have a reveal trailer so far, and we're looking forward to learning more when it releases on the PC and consoles on the 20th.

9. Oninaki on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC

If there's anyone who knows how to make a good JRPG, it's Square Enix. For this action-packed RPG, they're calling on the powers of Lost Sphear...and I Am Setsuna creators, Tokyo RPG Factory, with none other than Chrono Trigger director Takashi Tokita as creative producer. Perhaps all that covers the question, "why does this game look so good?"

In Oninaki, you make like Hannah Montanah, getting the best of both worlds as the Watcher that manages the divide between the lands of the living...and the dead.

There’s a lot of lost souls to rescue, and while you’ve got weapons, the souls will also guide you, giving you a host of new and different abilities. First announced in the Nintendo Direct, it’s set to release on the PC and the PS4, as well as the Switch this Aug 22nd.

10. Life is Strange 2 - Episode 4 on PC, Xbox One, and PS4

If you haven’t seen the other episodes yet, you might want to tread lightly. That’s right, the next episode to Dontnod’s Life Is Strange sequel set to come next month, with a new look at how the two brothers are doing in their adventure.

We unfortunately only get a very brief look--if you can even call it that, given it was just a 30 second teaser. But, it did seem very ominous, with a familiar man hinting at the “end of the road” for the kids as we know it.

Just like Isaac, use your tears as a weapon. Don’t dry them and don’t wipe them away as you use this sadness to obliterate the many forces of purgatory.Yes, you’re not hearing things wrong.

It’s an Anime-game alright and it’s bound to surprise you with a fantastic story and lovable characters, despite its over-the-top atmosphere. It’s coming this 27th of August.

Destroy a mysterious reality-bending threat… known as the Hiss... from breaking the laws of nature. Like all of Remedy’s projects, it’s played from a third person perspective.

Combat is as seamless as ever with realistic physics and slick levitation abilities. It’s like X-Men’s Jean Grey having a field day against supernatural threats. The game comes out this August 27 on the PC, PlayStation 4 and X1.
