Coming sometime this 2020 for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox SX, and the Switch.

11. Gamedec

The list of upcoming cyberpunk games grows longer starting this year. Anshar Studios’ isometric RPG puts you in the shoes of an investigator as you solve a myriad of mysteries in futuristic Warsaw.

Clearly inspired by known cyberpunk titles like Blade Runner and Deus Ex, player choices will greatly affect the flow of the story. Combat is non-existent in this game, instead of using your fists, your way with words will be your weapon. It comes out sometime this 2020 on the PC.

12. Overpass on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch

Off-road racing games don’t get that much attention in this day and age, but Zordix’s take on the genre involves more than just manning behind the wheel. It features an impressive array of 25 buggies and quads from big-name manufacturers such as Arctic Cat, Yamaha, Polaris, and Suzuki.

Overcome slopes, steep inclines and a number of obstacles on extreme off-road surfaces with a total of 40 routes. Selecting appropriate vehicles will make the path bearable, but proper vehicle handling will improve your chances of getting to that goal. Coming this 2020 for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.

13. Dark Moon

This indie-strategy game from Jujubee faces you against the sun’s scorching rays. Trapped on the Lunar surface, find a way to contact Earth and survive every minute in empty space.

Traverse the Lunar soil and gather resources in order to stay under the cover of darkness. Its non-linear survival brings unpredictable problems and solutions to you and your crew. It’s set to release sometime this 2020 on the PC.

14. Outriders on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

A Square Enix first person shooter. Something you don’t see everyday. developed by People Can Fly, Outriders is a 1 to 3 player, drop-in-drop-out co-op shooter set in an original dark and desperate sci-fi universe.

Not much details are known so far, but it is presented with so much gravitas by its creators. It offers a wealth of experience for the shooter genre and we can’t wait to find out more about this title when it comes out sometime this 2020.

15. Ghostrunner on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Taking place in yet another cyberpunk world, this first-person action-adventure from developer 3D Realms takes you into the life of a badass cyber-warrior determined to find answers in their dystopian future. The closer you are to the truth, the harder it becomes.

Whether you’re inside the cyberspace or in the physical world, traverse through its neon-lit places using your parkour abilities. Technology is in your favor so utilize powerful implants and cut your enemies into pieces. It comes out this 2020 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

16. The Pathless on PC and PS4

A mythic adventure game from the creators of the gorgeous Abzu. It tells a whole new story about a lone archer with her pet Eagle. Pathless takes you to a vast forest slowly corrupted by darkness.

Throughout your journey, explore and uncover the secrets of the forest. Solve puzzles, test your skills in epic battles similar to Shadow of the Colossus and bond with your eagle. It’s bound for release sometime this 2020 on the PC and PS4.

17. Liberated on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch

The fourth and final cyberpunk entry on this list. Much like Gamedec, it oozes a familiar noir atmosphere set in the near future. Developed by Atomic Wolf, it boasts an award-winning art style that perfectly captures its Orwellian city.

Featuring side-scrolling gameplay, use a variety of platforming mechanics to uncover the secrets of its authoritarian government. Playing as multiple characters, lead your people into the freedom they deserve. Coming this year on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.

18. Tales Of Arise on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Bandai Namco’s latest Tales game doesn’t stick to their same universe storyline anymore. For the first time in a long time, Arise takes you into a whole new world torn apart by differing cultures.

Still embracing that fantasy charm, play as two characters with a goal of restoring balance to their world. This latest Tales title offers a fresh cast of characters alongside its revamped Linear Motion Battle System. It’s set to release sometime in 2020

19. Carrion on PC and Xbox One

Dubbed as ‘reverse horror’, play as a living monstrosity pumping with blood and viscera. Stalk and consume those responsible for your creation.

Phobia Game Studio's Carrion mixes physics-based platformer with Metroidvania elements. Each victim you consume is a puzzle in itself. Control your body mass and slowly reach your way out of the laboratory prison you’re trapped in. It comes out sometime this 2020 for the PC and Xbox One.

20. Witchfire

Dark fantasy meets first-person shooter. Witchfire feels like a lovechild between Doom and Dark Souls. The first teaser trailer was revealed back in 2017 and showed your character blasting off skeleton armies with a rifle.

Developed by the team behind The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and the fast-paced Bulletstorm, it’s a narrative-driven adventure with heavy shooter elements. This combination of two of their iconic titles makes Witchfire a promising original IP. It’s slated for a 2020 release and it’s coming to the PC as of the moment.

On this list, we are only featuring upcoming games that are not part of a series and are not reboots or remakes. These are the best upcoming original IPs for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

10. Bus Simulator

Prepared to go around urban blocks in the professional comforts of the driver's seat. Astragon's Bus Simulator provides players with an outlet for enjoying the great outdoors indoors while allowing for the satisfaction of collections and upgrades that enhance the driving experience.

For critics, it just doesn’t fit the bill of what you would call the best game. It’s...sparse, and, compared to other games, leaves you wanting more. Cultured Vultures, for example, says “while the driving has depth, it felt like it should’ve been a side feature in a larger game about bus management.”

But that minimizes the impact Bus Simulator has on a niche but starved market. I mean, where else can you have an immersive experience that “challenges” you to take your passengers from point A to point B and give them the right change?

It’s repetitive, but in a deliberate sense that gives you the satisfaction of wages well earned.

But, with unhappy critics, it still comes out with a playscore of 7.56

9. Metal Wolf Chaos XD

Metal Wolf Chaos was first released in 2004 and then, it was understood as an action gem, satirizing America's hypernationalism with its absurdist humor, frantic combat, and simple controls. While it was panned for being too repetitive, the reception was positive overall.

More than a decade later, though, it's still pretty much the same, and that's saying something. Getting a critic score of 6.54, that clearly wasn't enough, given all the clunkiness that comes with it.

As GameSpot describes it: “Metal Wolf Chaos is an old game with a wild reputation, and though it lives up to it in some ways, it's not good in general.”

But, for something like Metal Wolf Chaos that made its name through its admittedly aged absurdity, the laughs, the nostalgia, and the explosions, make it all worth sifting through its "ancient" cracks.

It might be hard to recommend to someone new, if you're in it for the meme, you can see exactly how it made it this far. It has a playscore of 7.66

8. NASCAR Heat 4

Let's face it, the expectations were never that high for this latest installment of the NASCAR Heat series. But, with their decent handle on marketing, we did at least get a taste of the graphical improvements that were coming in this entry from Monster Games. Good graphics, though, aren't the only thing that makes a racing game great. It's also important that they get the details right.

As one of the most recent and most accurate representations of the NASCAR competition, it's a little disappointing that their AI is a little frustrating and that their career mode isn't all that different from the last. Still, what NASCAR HEAT 4 has, it freely shows off. And what it has is a product that vastly improved everything from its predecessors--from a less grindy career journey to overall better handling.

No matter what the critics say, NASCAR still seems to be the best one around and it has a playscore of 7.81.

7. Blair Witch

Of course, everyone remembers The Blair Witch Project. It’s the found-footage horror movie that changed it all. Taking place in the haunted woodlands of the iconic film, face your fears and escape every shifting forest with your loyal dog at your side.

For all of its ubiquity though, for critics, the material just didn't translate well into this videogame adaptation by Bloober Team. PS Lifestyle described it as "an intriguing story plagued by unsatisfactory gameplay, with a few neat ideas sprinkled throughout." That might not be the sentiment of most players, but it does point the flaws to an otherwise decent horror experience.

Bogged down by bugs and wonkiness, Blair Witch is still pretty good by PS4 standard, earning it a gamerscore of 8.87. With critics unsatisfied at a measly 6.76, Blair Witch barely scrapes by with a total playscore of 7.82

6. Erica

With the power of PlayStation’s very own PlayLink, players can immerse themselves in this unique cinematic experience: an interactive drama where every choice can make a huge difference. Full Motion Videos aren't new by any means, but Flavourworks' Erica seemed to elevate it to new heights. Its wonderfully produced with an ominous soundtrack and an interactive storyline that branches out into different endings worth exploring.

Erica's choices may not always be as impactful as we'd expect, and its characterization a little lacking, it remains an impressive look into a genre making its comeback. For some reason, though, it just couldn't with critics like Hardcore Gamer and french publications, Gameblog, and Jeuxvideo, who found it redundant, limited, and shallow.

Perhaps it'll get its chance in the spotlight, but for now, it remains in the shadows with a playscore of 7.86.

5. ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove

It's another win for fans of a cult classic videogame. In 2019, we witnessed the reunion of an iconic 90s duo, kicking back their musical platform adventures with a significantly smoother, modern look. Fortunately, all their 90s charm survived the transition too. UN-fortunately, at least for critics, so did some of the kinks.

With all its inside jokes and clunkiness, there are more than a few critics that think, no matter how back in the groove Toejam and Earl are, it's just too hard to recommend. God is a Geek, for example, feels "like the entire experience is stuck in the past, hampered by some basic mechanical flaws."

Just like many of today's remakes, this game is faithful to a fault. On the other hand, it's just the kind of thing that fans would want. Letting them revel in the shared nostalgia of its dazzling visuals and groovy soundtracks was just enough to pull it up to a gamerscore of 9.02.

All in all, it remains an underrated gem with a playscore of 7.89.

4. Deemo Reborn

The advent of the VR ushers in new problems in the way we enjoy games and that's particularly true for this game. From the makers of our favorite rhythm games on the mobile, Rayark takes everything we loved about their mysterious protagonist and transported it into the realm of virtual reality. Deemo Reborn is a complete overhaul of the original game, forgoing the old tapping mechanics and 2D cutscenes for the mad immersive rush that the PSVR provides.

On the platform it's an absolutely lush experience, packed with new gameplay elements and added voice acting that rounds up an already great game. But, there's the rub. As great as it is as a VR experience, it can't be shared with players who are only on the regular Dualshock controllers. Like WorthPlaying says "controller fans will feel comfortable with the adventure game but loathe the rhythm game."

With critics needing to represent the two competing sides of the control coin, the divide is almost understandable. Earning a 6.84 from critics and 9.10 from gamers, it earns a total playscore of 7.97.

3. Stranger Things 3: The Game

C'mon. It's one thing to hate a game for offering subpar content for its price point, but it's another to kick a game that's basically a giveaway. This isn't Stranger Things; their first rodeo into videogame tie-ins, with a mobile app a few seasons ago. But, they definitely ramped things up for the anticipated season 3 return of their original series set in a whole new era.

From last time's 8bit art style, the gang returns with a little bit more pixel power. Based on such a well-loved series, critics have panned it for offering less than what the source material could offer, earning it a critic score of a less than decent 6.82

Push Square felt, despite the added dimension: "the gameplay and presentation [were] terribly flat."

Given such a wider scope than the usual game giveaway, it does seem unfair to expect so much from Netflix's effort. It's not groundbreaking, but it's a tie-in that still packs the spirit of the series it was based on, and that's bite-sized sci-fi puzzle adventures.

Gamers have appreciated it thus far with a score of 9.16 and a total playscore of 7.99

2. ONINAKI

Square Enix doesn't always hit it, but this might be one of their most polarizing games of recent years. In the days leading up to its release, everyone was outpouring with joy at this JRPG that brought Chrono Trigger director, Takashi Tokita, back in the spotlight.

Aside from its production, Tokyo RPG Factory's Oninaki also drew audiences with its gorgeous visuals and a premise that divides the lands of the living and the dead. The atmosphere was pretty different at launch though when critics found Oninaki couldn't stick the landing.

Aside from narrative flaws, Critics like RPG Site said "it’s close to being greater than the sum of its parts, yet it falls apart in its execution."

Compared to its lackluster critic score, ONINAKI gets through with a whopping 9.31 gamerscore. Perhaps it's the fact that it's hard to say no to a Square Enix game, but it may also be that despite its flaws, the game packs a poignant punch that's as captivating as it is aggravating.

It seesaws in between quality and for that, it gets a playscore of 8.00

1. KILL la KILL - IF

According to IGN, Kill la Kill IF completes the checklist of things you'd want in an anime videogame adaptation: beautiful cel-shaded graphics, an endorsement from the series' animation studio, and the masterwork of A+ Games.

But, perhaps it was exactly this kind of expectation that brought it down on the critic side. Kill la Kill IF is certainly far from perfect. The roster may be a little shallow, the side content could leave you wanting, and, compared to the breakthroughs of Naruto's Ultimate Ninja, its fighting isn't exactly mindblowing. You tell these to a fan, and they'd probably agree.

But Kill la Kill IF delivers on providing a NEW experience for fans of the anime. And sometimes, that's all that fans need. If there's one critic that got it right, it's GameSpot, who--while acknowledging its shortcomings as a fighting game--understand that it was designed especially for fans.

With its gamerscore of 9.32 lifting it out of the depths, Kill La Kill is our most underrated game with a playscore of 8.05

We rank the most underrated #PS4 releases of last year. These are the games that received an average critic review of 7 out of 10 but greater than 8 from gamers.

We got the Rise of Skywalker update for Star Wars Battlefront II last December, but DICE and the devs have something for us this month as well. We’re finally going to be getting the Sequel Trilogy era for Capital Supremacy, plus two new hero droids in the form of BB-8 and BB-9E.

This news comes from an update from community manager Ben Walke:

While we already know what the Jakku, Takodana, and Ajan Kloss maps look like thanks to Co-Op, we have yet to find out the interiors of the capital ships for the Resistance and the First Order. Hopefully, with the update, we can get a video which would give us a good look.

As for upcoming heroes BB-8 and BB-9E, we don’t have that much details on how they play yet, but it has been confirmed that they will move with the same speed as the droideka—which means they could be pretty fast. It’s also been said that BB-8 plays more offensively with 9E acting as support. We don’t have any specifics yet, but hopefully, everything is clarified with the next community transmission.

Things are looking up for DICE when it comes to Star Wars Battlefront II. After a disastrous launch in 2017, the devs have managed to scrape together a game that is now worthy of the Star Wars brand. Let’s hope they manage to keep this ship sailing for a few more years before the inevitable sequel.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PC, and PS4.

DICE continues to deliver their promise of free service for Star Wars Battlefront II. Next week will see two new playable heroes and 4 new maps for Capital Supremacy.

BB-8 and New CS Maps Arrive at Star Wars Battlefront II Next Week

After their success with The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, everyone was waiting for CD Projekt Red’s next game, Cyberpunk 2077. The game was set to release this coming April, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer before we can get our hands on it.

As per an official announcement, Cyberpunk’s release has now been moved from April 16, 2020 to Sept. 17, 2020. Here’s the post:

The announcement reads:

"We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there's still work to be done. Night City is massive - full of stories, content, and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, finishing and polishing. We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for the generation and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect."

Cyberpunk 2077 is the third game to get a major delay this week. Earlier Square Enix had announced that the upcoming Avengers game has also been moved from its May release to September as well. Final Fantasy VII Remake was also delayed, but only by a month.

While a lot of people are bummed out that they’ll have to wait longer for the release of Cyberpunk 2077, at least they can be rest-assured that the developers are working hard on trying to make the game the best it can be. At least they’re not pushing crunch culture like some other developers have been doing in the past.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to come out on Sept. 17 on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

For more upcoming games, you can check out our respective upcoming games lists on the PC,PS4, Xbox One, and the Switch

CD Projekt Red's upcoming masterpiece is the next game to be hit with a delay

Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed to September

After the success of Marvel's Spider-Man, Crystal Dynamics was ready to give us another big Marvel game with Marvel’s Avengers. The game was supposed to come out this May but it looks like it has suffered a major delay.

In a statement released by co-heads of Crystal Dynamics, Scot Amos and Ron Rosenberg, it’s been announced that the highly anticipated Avengers game will be release in September 4, 2020 instead. The full statement reads:

To our fans,

At Crystal Dynamics our ambition has always been to deliver the ultimate Avengers gaming experience. In order to achieve that goal, we have made the difficult decision to move the release date of Marvel’s Avengers to September 4, 2020.

As fans ourselves, it’s an honor and a privilege to work with these legendary characters and we know what these Super Heroes mean to us and True Believers around the world. When we set out to bring you our vision for Marvel’s Avengers, we committed to delivering an original story-driven campaign, engaging co-op, and compelling content for years to come. To that end, we will spend this additional development time focusing on fine tuning and polishing the game to the high standards our fans expect and deserve.

The worldwide teams working on Marvel’s Avengers sincerely appreciate the support you’ve shown us. We thrive on your enthusiasm and feedback and we can’t wait to show you more. We apologize for the delay. We’re confident it will be worth the wait.

Scot Amos & Ron Rosenberg
Co-Heads of Studio, Crystal Dynamics

If anything, fans are kind of expecting this already when it comes to a studio like Square Enix. Besides the Avengers game, the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake has also been held back; at least the good news for that is the delay is significantly shorter—from March 3 to April 10.

When it comes to the Avengers game, a lot of fans are still kind of over the fence when it comes down to it. We know the game is banking on the popularity of the MCU, yet we’re getting a game that is taking place in its own universe, with its character design and lore. If anything, only Kamala Khan gets to be an original character since she hasn’t appeared in the films yet.

Either way, it looks like Crystal Dynamics is hard at work to deliver a game that fans will surely love. Catch Marvel’s Avengers when it comes out for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on Sept. 4.

Marvel Avengers may be arriving later than we expected.

1. Watch Dogs: Legion on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Ubisoft has big plans for 2020, and they're making it clear through this latest installment of their Watch Dogs series. Watch Dogs has always been an interesting exploration of the open-world genre with its undercurrents of hacking and technology.

In Legion, they're determined to take it up a notch, inviting every person into their world's burgeoning revolution. Take to modern-day London and recruit everyone--big or small, young or frail--into your network and use their skills to achieve each mission. But, you lose one, and you'll lose them forever. With an element of perma-death injected into the story, it adds that layer of humanity to the ultra-diverse experience.

While it's been pushed back some, we can probably expect it on our PCs, PS4s, and Xbox Ones sometime in the latter half of 2020.

2. Resident Evil 3 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

CAPCOM has been absolutely nailing their survival horror series, with Resident Evil 2 earning top spots in our 2019 rankings. Following this recent announcement of another huge retro remake, it doesn't look like they're about to lose steam any time soon.

Just from the trailer, we know Resident Evil 3's about to kick the scares to high gear as we follow Jill's frantic escape from a mob of the infected. That theme of running away is reported to be a central part of this remake, making it a more action-focused title.

While it follows pretty much the same story as the original, CAPCOM said that Resident Evil 3 will come with rearrangements to the plot and even a personality switch for the character Carlos. What they're making sure won't change though, is how much we'll love Jill.

It's set to release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on the third of April 2020

3. Destroy All Humans! on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

A new decade is the perfect time for comebacks it seems. It might not be as triple-A as Resident Evil, but nostalgia still runs deep for this Crypto title from 2005. With all this destruction already going around these days, we might as well invite the aliens into the fun.

Created by Black Forest Games and THQ Nordic, this 2020 remake of Destroy All Humans is looking sleek with its high definition makeover that translates into smoother aiming and simultaneous actions too. Still set in 1959, the Cold War references, genocidal antics, and overall wackiness are certainly here to stay.

It's coming to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One sometime in the 2nd quarter.

4. No More Heroes 3

As fun, as it was lollygagging as Travis Touchdown in "Travis, Strikes Again," nothing compares to a fresh new installment of Grasshopper Manufacture's hack and slash series. Following a ten year hiatus, No More Heroes 3 is finally happening, and if Suda is to be believed, bigger, bloodier, and...a lot like the avengers.

With Earth under attack by an alien with an uncharacteristically quaint origin, there's potential for that superhero brand of global-scale action. Suda51 has always been at the cutting edge and the expectations are definitely high for this latest numbered installment.

There's no official release window yet but we're ready for things to get very, very weird on the Switch.

5. Ary and the Secret of Seasons on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch

Even if SONY didn't make an appearance in 2019's E3, you'll have another thing coming if you expect them to hold back on the good stuff. One of those good stuff just happens to be this award-winning adventure game by eXiin.

Play as the young Aryelle, and with her powers of manipulating the seasons, bring balance to the world of Valdi. For anyone who loved Nintendo's Breath of the Wild, Ary and the Secret of the Seasons has almost that same kind of wondrous environment, populated by charming creatures, and dungeon puzzles to tinker with.

A new world to immerse yourself in, it's coming to the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Switch this March 2020.

6. The Outer Worlds

If you're on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, chances are, you've probably experienced Obsidian Entertainment's latest scifi RPG venture. But, for those waiting for the ultimate portable experience on the Switch, it's still a pretty long wait.

For many, The Outer Worlds has achieved everything it set out for, and that is, creating a new open-world experience that rivals their previous New Vegas hit. Considering its success on its debut platforms though, getting that loaded RPG experience on the go remains an enticing prospect.

The stage has been set and it's hitting the Nintendo platform early 2020.

7. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

Speaking of great RPG experiences on the Switch, you can never go wrong with a classic from Nintendo's own vaults. What with the sequel already paving the way for the series, it was only about time that they bring one of the Wii's best titles to a new audience. While they already did with the 3DS in 2015, Xenoblade Chronicles will be reborn on the Switch with improved graphics that will breath new life to Shulk's quest around a lush world.

No release window yet but we know it's coming sometime in 2020.

8. Sable

Speaking of worlds to immerse in, you might want to try your hand at getting lost in this open-world desert of discovery from Shedworks Interactive. First announced in 2018, Sable was already turning heads with the breathtaking design of its world.

Taking inspiration from the works of the great French cartoonist, Moebius, Sable's deserts look vast, sparse, but never boring with its mastery of lines and colors. That's key in a game that encourages exploration on an alien planet. It's gonna be lonely out there, and lonelier still as you uncover the coming of age tale of a girl deciding who she wants to be.

It's coming to the PC sometime in 2020.

9. System Shock: Remake & System Shock 3 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

System Shock is staging its comeback in the new decade too. With two different projects side by side, it's hard to pick out which one we're more excited for.

On one hand, we're getting a remake of the original SS1 game from our childhood from Night Dive Studios. From their previews, it's looking pretty slick, keeping extremely faithful to the design and mechanics of the original game. On the other, we'll also be treated to a spectacle of fresh and familiar with a brand new sequel that's still made under the guidance of director Warren Spector, and even features the return of SHODAN voice actress Terri Brosius.

The sequel may need a little more time in the oven, our chances on the remake are slightly better with an early 2020 release window for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One

10. Paranoia: Happiness is Mandatory on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

This upcoming RPG by Cyanide Studio brings a classic tabletop RPG to the modern videogame age, bringing together isometric RPGs with tactical combat. Paranoia doesn't play like its tabletop counterpart though. But, set in an Orwellian future where all must live under the watchful eye of the Friend Computer, treachery is still very much at play in this adaptation.

In it, you complete missions along with a party of 9 specialists. The twist is that their loyalties aren't yours. Paranoia sets in as your supposed members rat out your misdeeds to the beloved Computer. Injecting comedy into a seemingly bleak dystopia, Paranoia has never been more charming.

It's set to release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One sometime in 2020.

11. Spiritfarer on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch

Single-player games don't always mean being alone. Sometimes it means taking on difficult journeys that teach us lessons we can bring along outside the game. An indie title from Thunder Lotus Games, Spiritfarer is just that. Looking like one of those animated movies we love, it has a feel of home about it, with interesting characters and beautifully drawn 2D backdrops.

However, for a game that's as colorful and charming as it looks, Spiritfarer has a mission, and it's helping us learn how to say goodbye. We haven't even played it yet, but we know it's gonna be quite an emotional adventure, topped with elements of building and exploration.

It's scheduled to release on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch in 2020.

12. Half-Life Alyx

Christmas came early for longtime fans of Valve's Half-Life series. It might not be the much-awaited third chapter, but it seems like a first step in the comeback of a lifetime. Half-Life Alyx is a VR game, and it's quite a statement to bring one of last decade's favorites to today's vogue platform.

With Alyx, Valve is making strides once more, with a VR game that promises to be as long as Half-Life 2. Set between the two existing Half-Life games, familiar characters will definitely make their return, most especially our main man Gordon Freeman, who will still be voiced by Mike Shapiro.

Valve says it’s one of their biggest games yet, and it's coming sometime in 2020.

13. Werewolf: The Apocalypse on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Don't get us wrong, Vampires are great and all, but it's about time Werewolves get their chance in the spotlight. This is another videogame adaptation inspired by White Wolf publishing's games.

Compared to the sun phobic vampires, werewolves are attuned to nature. Apocalypse comes at an opportune moment, telling the story of a banished Werewolf fighting a Vampire-led corporation and the pestilence they bring.

We only have a reveal trailer so far, but developer Cyanide is said to play at the balancing act between the heavy metal rage of the wolf, and the sober reason of man.

It's coming out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2020.

14. Ghost of Tsushima

Another game that's still up in the air but otherwise worthy of the attention is Sucker Punch's breathtaking look at the life of the Last Samurai in Tsushima's Mongol Invasion. Ghost of Tsushima is rife with Japanese inspirations, most notably from the amateur filmmaker and a force in Samurai Cinema, Akira Kurosawa.

From their trailers, these inspirations look well-executed, with its slick sword fighting scenes and cinematic atmosphere.

It's expected to land exclusively on the PlayStation 4, sometime this summer.

15. Elden Ring on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Now, we're not exactly sure that this game will see the light of release day before the end of 2020. However, with an all-star production featuring FromSoftware--who just won Game of the Year with their new IP Sekiro--and Game of Throne's George RR Martin, Elden Ring is brimming with promise as a single-player action-adventure.

So far, we only have an announcement trailer to drool over, but we might have a better idea of what's it about soon as FromSoftware plans to show it off sometime in February.

Although there are rumors of it releasing Early in 2020, the only thing confirmed is its release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

10. Ori And The Blind Forest

A Microsoft Exclusive might be the right way to start this list. Moon Studios’ platformer balances emotional storytelling with impressive visual design. Ori and the Blind Forest puts you into the life of a fledgling forest guardian and a spirit trying to navigate their way around a magical forest and save it.

There’s an almost therapeutic feel every time you dip into its atmospheric 2D world. Despite its short game-time, it received generally favorable reviews from various gaming sources, mainly in its mesmerizing backdrops and rewarding Metroidvania gameplay.

Navigating around highly detailed levels and fending off enemies using a plethora of abilities isn’t really something new in the genre, but its overarching themes of love and friendship is something worth remembering in a game like this. Its sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is sure to bring more flavor and wonder into this fascinating world soon.

It receives a playscore of a 9.19

9. Mass Effect 2

Before Andromeda’s massive letdown, there was the epic space trilogy that earned its respect to all gamers in the world. The Mass Effect saga was the space-opera that combines a universal scale story with relatable characters that, to this day, we will never forget.

The Galaxy needs Commander Shepard in his/her quest to prevent the extinction of the human race from the impending Reaper invasion. On the surface, it feels like a textbook sci-fi story, but underneath its layers lies a complex set of themes from politics to the good ol’ existential dread.

Mass Effect 2 is the strongest entry in the trilogy. It was the moment fans knew what BioWare was capable of. It brought together an ensemble of memorable characters in a literal ‘Suicide Mission’ that made us emotional no matter the outcome.

It’s a true space action RPG and it receives a playscore of 9.22

8. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

There’s absolutely no forgetting Bethesda’s crowning jewel. Skyrim’s biggest achievement was it came ahead of its time. If Mass Effect was the top of Space RPGs, Skyrim is its medieval counterpart. It was the open-world adventure we never knew we needed and it gave birth to a slew of other epic medieval-themed games with the same formula.

Basically, you’re the Dragonborn. Their own version of a Jedi. It comes with the ability to scream and push people away. But being the chosen one isn’t just the best thing about Skyrim, it’s the open-ended quest you have that makes it special. Do you want to be an asshole and ruin people’s lives? Or be the hero that everyone needs up until you accidentally kill a chicken? The possibilities are endless in this massive title, and we’re not even getting started with the mods.

It has a playscore of 9.23

7. Stardew Valley

PC’s surprising indie title took hours of our time away when it came out. Developed by ConcernedApe, Stardew Valley is an essential game for those who want to take a break from all the online games we suck at. It’s time to put down that gun and grab a shovel to cultivate some crops and breed some farm animals.

For a game about time management, it consumed most of our day to day activities with its insane amount of things to do. It takes inspiration from the notable life simulator titles like Harvest Moon and integrates their own indie signature with little to no issues at all.

What makes Stardew Valley great is in its mundane moments. Waking up and getting ready for the day varies among all other players. You’re either spending the rest of your day fishing or giving gifts to your favorite person. Making relationships is as enjoyable as exploring its peaceful town full of memorable moments.

It receives a playscore of 9.23

6. Disco Elysium

2019 was a great year for gaming but the PC's standout title of last year was an open-world RPG set in a bleak future.

Like any other great games out there, ZA/UM's' Disco Elysium was mostly praised for its well-written story. As a detective with a knack for mystery, you partake in the myriad of activities in its broken world, which includes puzzle solving and managing your abilities. Talking to people to fuel your investigation not only gives you solutions but more problems in its impressive take on the pen and paper format.

As an RPG game, you take matters into your own hands. Especially with its revolutionary dialogue system. The degree of freedom in each of its well-crafted missions takes you hours and hours of groundbreaking storytelling.

It has a playscore of 9.26

5. Bioshock Infinite

Irrational’s award-winning first-person-shooter blew our minds when it came out in 2013. Booker and Elizabeth’s story was also a standout title early in the last decade. It was plot twists after plot twists that we had to resort to watching YouTube videos for some lingering questions.

Exploring the beautiful city of Colombia wasn’t as magical as our first dip into Rapture, but it still presents us with some shocking surprises and a bit of politics in between.

Its first-person shooter combat was faster and more fluid compared to the previous entries. The ability to use special abilities using Vigors was akin to Rapture’s Plasmids, but it doesn’t really add anything to the table. Elizabeth’s AI, however, was the combat’s greatest addition. Her helping you out in tight situations is really, really handy.

Infinite receives a 9.27

4. Undertale

The last decade was also a time of experimentation. Many variations of the RPG have come and go but Tobyfox’s unique take on the genre gave birth to a massive fanbase and a ton of fan-made titles. Not to mention its snazzy soundtrack keeps our determination pumping.

Think of Undertale as a ‘weirder’ version of Lewis Carol’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Play as a young kid trapped in a strange underground world where monsters are either friend or foe. What makes Undertale different from other RPGs is that doesn’t follow a formula. It’s unconventional. Each encounter in its turn-based combat grants you choices to either spare or kill a character.

It’s in these unique moments where Undertale shines. Simply showing mercy or taking them down is not an easy task. Each character in the game has its own set of dialogue, weaknesses, and strengths and these choices will greatly affect the game’s world and its ending.

A playscore of 9.30

3. The Witcher III: Wild Hunt

No Law of Surprise needed here. CD Projekt Red’s critically acclaimed third entry of their own take on Sapkowski’s dark fantasy series is different from Netflix’s recent adaptation. Set years after the books, Geralt of Rivia’s adventure is up for the player to decide.

The Wild Hunt is a master-crafted fantasy RPG that could even go face to face with Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls franchise. Its massive open-world is home to many evils and its interesting amount of side-quests rivals that of the main story.

The game’s huge amount of praise is justified, even after its two massive DLCs that could pass as a new game on its own. Don’t even get us started with Gwent. It’s easily the strongest of the trilogy and one of the best PC games of the last decade.

A playscore of 9.35

2. Divinity: Original Sin II

Larian Studios follows up the success of their first game with this prodigious sequel. Already making a name for themselves thanks to their deep customizations and highly interactive environments, this second installment takes all that to a whole new level of immersion.

Bringing the spirit of pen and paper RPGs to the videogame world, Divinity Original Sin II is an outstanding piece of emergent gameplay. Each interaction gives you more room for experimentation and other ‘crazy’ ideas.

It’s a game played better with friends. Gather your buddies and role-play your way in Divinity’s fully-realized world with intriguing mysteries and complex characters stories.

It receives a playscore of 9.37

1. Portal 2

Valve is known to redefine the way we see videogames. Half-Life 3 is but a century away and the dream of three is still non-existent in Gaben’s world. Portal was a game-changer in the PC scene as it introduced an innovative way of combining good storytelling with seamless puzzle-solving using the power of physics.

Sure, the original game was great, but its sequel was ten times better. Especially with the return of the sociopathic robot GLaDOS and let’s not forget the joy of using the Portal Gun to mess with science.

Portal 2’s success is what kicked off the start of the previous decade. It received universal acclaim for its physics-based gameplay, witty humor and solid voice acting. To this day, Portal 2 is still hailed as one of the greatest games of all time and we see no lie to that.

It receives a playscore of 9.50

Top 10 BEST PC Games of the Last 10 Years (2010-2019)

2020 has just arrived but the games don’t stop coming. Visit our list of Upcoming Games for the full lineup.

1. Zombie Army 4: Dead War on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Ok, so not exactly the best start to a fresh new year of games. For one, Zombie Games are pretty much old news for some gamers. And two, Zombie Army 4 is the follow-up to Rebellion's polarizing Zombie Killing series whose trilogy earned biting reviews from critics and massive praise from gamers who like a good co-op zombie Hitler thrashing.

It may be far from being "The Room" of its videogame kind, but just like Wiseau's masterpiece, it's oozing with campy charm and all-around fun that it's almost hard to resist.

Epic Games fan or not, if you loved the trilogy, you're probably wanna get this.

It's set to release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on Feb 4.

2. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch

It might be 2020, we still haven't escaped from the Age of Reboots. If you haven't heard, last year's Netflix release, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, was a prequel to puppeteer Jim Henson's dark fantasy film from 1982. While it did a great job of reintroducing the universe, the series solidifies its presence in the modern age with this upcoming turn-based RPG developed by BonusXP.

Not only is this a great way to spread their fantastical lore, that also means there's more turn-based strategy to get our hands-on. With some hint of Final Fantasy Tactics embedded in its core, this just might serve as a great alternative with a new coat of paint.

It's coming out on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on February 4th

3. Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame 3 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch

This one's for the adrenaline junkies. By now Monster Energy Supercross--with all its official-ness--has become a staple release for fans of motocross racing. I mean, never mind that their previous titles have been lukewarm at best. And, don't even get us started on that embarrassing #BeOneOfUs campaign. Apart from all that, Monster Energy Supercross has maintained its steady fanbase and it's here to stay.

Aside from inviting us all into the floodlights of true-to-life tracks in career mode, there's also gonna be a new co-op experience to let you ride across a new compound with friends. And you’ll see it all this February 4.

4. Darksiders Genesis on PS4, Switch, and Xbox One

Not exactly what we expected.

While we were mostly awaiting the arrival of the fourth chapter to their apocalyptic action RPG series, Airship Syndicate takes a bit of a detour with this equally catastrophic spinoff. Far away from Darksider's usual shenanigans, Genesis may be taking a new, top-down perspective, it's still packed with the usual hack and slash promises of the series.

Meet the fourth horseman, Strife, as he hunts down master demons in hell along with this brother War in a never before seen prequel episode. The seed of chaos has already been planted on the PC, but this Valentine's, console users are gonna have their own date with hell.

5. SNACK WORLD: THE DUNGEON CRAWL — GOLD

From LEVEL-5, the makers of Dark Cloud and the majestic Ni No Kuni Games, Snack World The Dungeon Crawl Gold doesn't need much of an introduction. This was first released in Japan, but this Valentine's 2020, fans in the Western hemisphere will finally get their hands on this colorful action RPG.

Create your very own character and get crawling with the treasure hunting gang. There's been plenty of comparisons to the popular Fantasy Life series. While it seems a more story and dungeon driven adventure, this could be the next thing to scratch the same kind of itch.

For fans on the Switch, the wait will finally be over.

6. Dreams

We've talked about the coming of this PSVR exclusive from Media Molecule for months, and now it looks like we're gonna get to see it up close this February. Dreams offers players limitless potential as an open-ended tool and creator game, and with it, it shows off the power of the PlayStation platform.

It first came out as an Early Access game and even then it was already dressed to impress. There's a lot of complexity going in every moment of whatever it is you've dreamed up within its multitude of creative options.

February 14 is looming on the horizon so it's time to get you imaginations fired up.

7. Best Friend Forever on PC and Switch

With so many games lining up to be your Valentine's date, Starcolt's Best Friends Forever wants you to know that they're IT. Best Friends Forever combines dating and dogs, and no, probably not in the way you're imagining.

In Best Friends Forever, get yourself a man's best friend, and let your life with them lead the way to a brand new romantic adventure with any of the hot, two-legged friends around town. Come for the cute, and occasionally threatening, dogs and stay to find your forever here.

One of the easiest sells ever, it's coming out on the PC and Switch.

8. Street Fighter V: Champion Edition on PC and PS4

As much as we love our Street Fighter games, it does sometimes come with the baggage of too many expansions to buy. However, with this Champion Edition, Street Fighter 5 feels like the most complete single it's ever been.

When they say this edition is packed, they mean it. It has almost all of the content of Street Fighter 5 and Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition, which means there's 34 stages, 200 costumes, and 40 characters, including Street Fighter 3's Gill.

The most robust update yet, it's coming this February 14th on the PC and PS4.

9. The Suicide of Rachel Foster

Set in a creepy hotel with a carpet patterned with diamonds and dots, you can already feel the Kubrick inspirations in ONE-O-ONE's adventure thriller. But just from the title itself, you can be sure that it'll deal with some very mature subject matter.

Returning to the scene of a young girl's suicide, help Nicole navigate the mysteries of the eerie hotel and hopefully uncover the truth behind her past and the grim events within it.

It's still on its way to the PC on February 19th, but its Shining references are enough to intrigue any thriller enthusiast.

10. Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] on PS4 and Switch

Like many of fighting games, French-Bread's Under Night In-Birth is constantly inundated with updates to their roster and gameplay to keep things fresh. Late cl-r is their latest addition to the fighting frenzy and it contains a brand new character in the frozen fang of eternity, Londrekia Light.

With powers of ice, Londrekia’s addition will usher new variety to the mix. Not just in his own powerful set of frozen moves, but also with new stages and moves for the whole cast too.

This powerful new update is nearing completion and it's coming to the PS4 and the Switch on February 20th.

11. Conan Chop Chop on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch

Sometimes fun comes in simple packages and Mighty Kingdom's action-adventure proves to be one of those. Not even bothering with a more marketable title, Conan Chop Chop goes right down to business, offering a swords and sorcery experience for up to four players in straightforward stick-figure style.

It might be low on the production value scale, Conan Chop Chop is decidedly hectic in its portrayal of the everyday life of the barbarian. That, plus its roguelike elements and Zelda-like dungeons and up to what seems like a hell of chop-chopping enjoyment.

And, you can find it on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the Switch this February 25th.

12. Marvel's Iron Man VR

He may have left the MCU, but Tony Stark’s legacy isn’t over yet. This genius billionaire philanthropist is about to give out fun exclusively on the PSVR next month.

Take to the skies in the iconic metal suit and fight against a slew of Iron Man's greatest foes. The voice and face behind the iconic suit may be unfamiliar to us compared to RDJ's famous portrayal, but it seems like he still has the biting wit that we've come to love.

Sure, it's not the full-on Iron Man game we would've wanted, but it's a step in the right direction and it's set to release on February 28.

13. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

With one heck of a popular anime series, it was only about time till we saw a fighting game centered around the unrivaled hero 'Caped Baldy'. While he's usually knocking down opponents with a single punch, A Hero Nobody Knows makes it their mission to even the playing field for the rest of the OPM characters who want in on the action.

This upcoming fighting will feature the skills and talents of S class heroes like King, Metal Knight, class A hero Stinger, Dragon level threat Melzargard, and even Dream Version Saitama in pajamas. Each equipped with their own special skills and moves, it's gonna be a challenge for your friends, and even for the World's Strongest Man.

It's coming out this Feb 28th on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

14. Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch

The Mega Man series isn't running out of steam any time soon. Sure, there's been plenty of collections of it already, but this time Capcom is bringing six iconic titles--the first four Mega Man Zero games, as well as the Mega Man ZX and the ZX advent. That's an alphabet soup of names, all to signify that the Mega Man legacy will live on.

It's coming out on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the Switch this February 25th.

15. Two Point Hospital on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch

Hailed as one of the best simulation games of 2019, Two Point Hospital is about to work its surgical charm on the consoles next month. More than just a hospital building game, Two Point Hospital lets you learn the ropes of everything that goes inside. That means taking care of all the weird and wacky folks from god knows where, plus all the illnesses they bring with them.

It's universal healthcare on a whole new level.

As it's already a massive success on the PC, we're hoping the medical mischief will be translated smoothly to the PS4, Xbox One, and Switch this February 25th.

We're starting the year looking forward! Here's a ranking of the 15 most anticipated games coming this February. These are the best upcoming games for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

10. Godzilla Defense Force

There hasn’t really been a good Godzilla since forever. NEXON’s own take on the Godzilla IP isn’t really scratching that itch as well, but it does offer a decent amount of fanservice for major fans of the Kaiju-filled franchise. What Defense Force is banking on is the presence of every version of our favorite Monsters since 1954 to present.

However, there’s a catch, it’s an idle clicker.

This TOHO licensed mobile game combines idle defense and idle clicking into one title. Godzilla isn’t the only King of the Monsters here, with the help of your finger, simply tap and tap to deploy your armies and fend off a legion of dangerous Kaijus seeking to destroy each major city in the world.

As a FREE game, there’s no complaints here as long as we get to see our favorite monsters trying to breach Earth’s mighty defenses. A playscore of 8.73

7. The King Of Fighters ALLSTAR

SNK is getting the attention it deserves this year, especially with its inclusion in Nintendo’s Smash universe. However, this isn’t really the kind of fighting game that we’ve grown accustomed to. Think of it more like an action-brawler than a fighter. It utilizes the iOS’ touch features for an easy-to-learn experience.

With just the power of your fingers, combine combos and execute powerful special moves. Select from a massive list of popular King of Fighter characters from 1994 to the latest XIV.

It’s just like chess, but instead of inanimate pieces, you get to see your chosen heroes move and unleash a flurry of magical attacks all around your screen. What makes Chess Rush different, however, is its emphasis on co-op. Teaming up with friends online makes every encounter challenging yet rewarding in its 2v2 and 4v4 modes.

Outsmart your enemies by being one step ahead of them. CD Projekt RED's GWENT is a different breed of Card Game where you pick a faction, build an army, and wage war against other players across multiple game modes. Each card and faction offer hundreds of possibilities, all depending on your skill and maybe a bit of luck.

The Witcher Card Game is slowly earning its place in the CG arena. Ever since the iOS’ release, it became one of the App Store’s most popular titles. Just recently, they released their latest expansion: Merchants of Ofir, which introduces new cards and mechanics to the board.

It has a playscore of 8.94

It's a captivating journey with a fascinating set of characters that glues you from start to finish.

1. Call Of Duty: Mobile

Good first-person shooters on the mobile are very unlikely. However, Activision’s version of their famed Call of Duty franchise proved everyone wrong. Call of Duty: Mobile is not just one game. It acts like two different games packed into one. Engage in a brutal 5 versus 5 mode with you and your buddies or drop in and be the last man standing with the massively-popular Battle Royale genre.

10. Rayman Mini

Ubisoft has been serving up award-winning platformers through the Rayman series for years now but with so many awesome games coming through Apple Arcade, it could be easy to miss. In Rayman Mini, we get a brand new story with our favorite disembodied adventurer. This time, he's out to conquer the microscopic world that absolutely stunning.

Go out collecting flying bugs, meet the terrifying creepy crawlies, and jump alongside majestic looking plants. There's definitely danger ahead, but just like their previous games, Rayman turns it into an adventure worth diving into for, either for quick trips or long hauls. Now on the Apple Arcade, it's a much cleaner experience you can bring offline with no ads nor in-app purchases.

It has a playscore of 8.26

9. Monomals

Thanks to the Apple Arcade, we get another taste of high-quality games on the go. For this entry, it's a musical blowout developed by Picomy where you dive into the cool-looking waters of their levels and also into your own creativity.

Monomals takes you into the shoes of their funky animal DJs who venture to capture weird and whimsical monomals. But, it doesn't end there. With the task of arranging them into actual music, you'll be breaking down barriers as much as you break down the beats in order to win the tight competition.

Monomals gives its all in their two, differing gameplay mechanics making it as much an adventure as it is a fully-featured music game. It's a successful marriage and in turn, it becomes one endlessly charming and addictive musical platformer.

Monomals has a playscore of 8.3

8. INMOST

Another thing that the mobile does well is blurring the lines between platforms. This game, developed by Hidden Layer Games and published Chucklefish, is set to release on the PC and Switch too. But, thanks to Apple Arcade, its subscribers get to experience the dark action platformer ahead of everyone else.

As far as the critics are concerned, Inmost is one ambitious title that exudes the premium aura that Apple is trying to capture. It brings excellence not just in its detailed pixel environments and smooth animations, but also in its emotionally-driven narrative.

Inmost might be a little too heavy for some, and it also has a few technical flaws. But, despite that, it earns its place among the Arcade's golden games with a playscore of 8.3

7. WHAT THE GOLF?

If you want to get ahead of the PC and Switch curve without the heartbreaks, then What The Golf might fit the bill. Sometimes all one needs is some silliness and this game has calculated sillines in droves.

While it does have the usual boring putting for when you feel like just kicking back in midlife drudgery, TribandProductions' What The Golf also has everything but. You're never just limited to small dimpled balls. Using the power of force and trajectories, you get to play with and as everything from office chairs, saws, houses, and so much more. And, the activities are never stuck in the usual corners of a minigolf course.

If its variety and excitement you want in an unconventional package, What The Golf has it all and it has a playscore of 8.35

6. Bleak Sword

Our next game takes simplicity to a whole new level. At first glance, it fulfills the simplistic visuals that we used to expect from mobile games. But, knowing it's a Devolver Digital title, there's already an expected level of polish and ingenuity. Thankfully, Bleak Sword makes the grade.

It's an action-packed game that sets you off on a grueling journey through dark forests and castle halls filled with hostile monsters. They may not look like anything more than stick figures but it doesn't they're any less menacing. juxtaposed with a three-dimensional arena, the combat feels real, dynamic, and ultimately slick.

Devolver Digital always brings out the unexpected gems and Bleak Sword is one of those. It has a playscore of 8.42

5. Pilgrims

Pilgrims didn't make its debut on the Apple Arcade. However, Apple still made a great choice in bringing this gem to the subscription service. With its PC release, Amanita Design's casual adventure has already earned hearts with a tale of exploration made perfect by its storybook art style and sepia tones. For fans of Machinarium and Samorost, Pilgrims has exactly that kind of offbeat charm around it.

Going deeper from its magnetic, superficial beauty, Pilgrims also plays with the execution. Using flashcard-like presentations, it immerses you into the tiny little stories they tell, allowing you to put yourself in the shoes of their travelers, solving problems in your own unique way, and to laugh along with them.

With no one designated path, there are countless possibilities to explore, making it an adventure you'd be willing to take again and again. A treat for your inner Pilgrim, it has a playscore of 8.43

4. Manifold Garden

This game is still about spatial exploration. But instead of people and places, and it's a geometric paradise that's governed by a different kind of physics. Created over the course of seven years, it's clear that its developers William Chyr Studio put a lot of love and detail into this world.

At its core, it's a puzzle game where you manipulate gravity to find new perspectives in a seemingly infinite world. Your task is to learn to navigate it long enough to restore life and color into their monoliths. Easy enough to learn, but hard to master.

Thankfully, you'll always have its breathtaking sights to fall back on when things get tough. Manifold Garden is still on its way to the PC and PS4. And yet again, Apple Arcade offers a first look at the world, for a bargain price.

It has a playscore of 8.47

3. Grindstone

Capybara Games' newest puzzle adventure more closely follows the usual mobile formula, and perhaps that's what makes it great. The Studio is mostly known for its more somber fantasy adventure, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP. But in this Apple Arcade title, they pivot to more vibrant Cal-Arts cartoon style with gameplay that feels like a fusion of their titles, Critter Crunch and Might & Magic.

Grindstone is a puzzle adventure that takes you up through the treacherous cliffs of Grindstone Mountain. The only way to get to the top is through a combo of sharp sword skills and sharper thinking. With over 150 levels, it solidifies its simple yet effectively addictive formula of battling bosses, collecting gear, and slashing through foes with tactical precision.

Given a unique premise and a formula that works, it's a mobile game done right with a playscore of 8.59

2. Cat Quest II

If there's one proven name in feline adventures, it's The Gentlebros' Cat Quest series. After their debut's massive success, we get a fresh sequel that has very recently received positive reviews on the other platforms too. In Cat Quest II, we get a brand new storyline about the heightening war between the cats of Felingard and the dogs of Lupus Empire.

For a game all about cute animals, it doesn't seem to take itself too seriously. But, Cat Quest defies expectations with an RPG experience that offers depth and satisfying combat in an open-world setting. There's always been dungeons and battles to fight, but the sequel adds more to the mix too, with switch and co-op gameplay, new weapon types, and spells.

It has a playscore of 8.77

1. Tangle Tower

As for most things, nothing beats a story well told. From SFB Games, we get a continuation of Detective Grimoire's 2014 adventures. And, in Tangle Tower, he makes his return with a brand new makeover and an all-new storyline. Go inside a strange and twisted mansion and uncover the thrilling mystery that surrounds the murder of Freya Fellow.

Despite the new look, a lot of Detective Grimoire's charm survives the transition. And, with it, the excitement of unfolding their narrative through interrogation and puzzle-solving. Tangle Tower envelopes players into the role of Detective with a tale full of intrigue and interesting suspects voiced by a talented cast.

All in all, it's A-plus production that makes it worth the Apple Arcade subscription. It has a playscore of 8.88
