Square Enix’s remake of Final Fantasy VII is set to come out next month, and ahead of the anticipation, players will actually get a chance to try out the demo now.

This the official description according to the PlayStation store:

Enjoy the first chapter of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE─the iconic Mako Reactor 1 bombing mission─with this demo version.

It’s worth noting that progress in the demo won’t carry over to the actual game when it releases, and it’s still possible that there could be changes when it comes to the final version of the game.

Though there are already a lot of people excited for the release of the remake, it’s pretty great that Square Enix is giving players the chance to try out a little taste of the game for free. Then again, it’s al in the name of finding out problems with the game that could otherwise be overlooked.

Rumor has it that Final Fantasy VII Remake is actually the first of a series of games from Square, but this will still feel like a “full game” upon release. Hopefully this won’t be just a treat for fans of the original, but a nice jumping point for gamers unfamiliar with the franchise.

Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor. Sonic Forces

In Sonic Forces, the evil Dr. Eggman has conquered much of the world with help from a powerful and mysterious new villain named Infinite. Now, you must assist Sonic and build an army to reclaim the world as they fight against chaos and destruction. Defeat enemies with blazing speed as Modern Sonic, catapult past perilous platforms as Classic Sonic, and create your very own Custom Hero Character equipped with a variety of powerful gadgets.

Shadow of the Colossus

Tales speak of an ancient realm where Colossi roam the majestic landscape. Bound to the land, these creatures hold a key to a mystical power of revival — a power you must obtain to bring a loved one back to life. Shadow of the Colossus is a breathtaking journey through ancient lands to seek out gigantic beasts. Armed with only a sword and a bow, explore the spacious lands and unearth each Colossus, presenting a unique challenge to test your wits, determination, and skill.

While Sonic Forces is only lauded for its character creation, Shadow of the Colossus is considered a fantastic remaster of a classic game. If you’re not up for going fast, maybe you should try the puzzle-solving, scenery-focused SotC.

If you aren’t so keen on the March titles, there’s still a chance you could be interested in February’s offers. As of now, the three titles you can get include BioShock: The Collection, The Sims 4, and the PS VR shooter Firewall Zero Hour. The games will be available up until March 2.

Sony is set to introduce their next generation of consoles with the PlayStation 5 this December, but the company may have just gotten caught in a bit of a snag.

According to CCN, it’s possible that the pricing of the PlayStation could be in trouble, and the company is having a hard time finding the right price tag for the console without making it feel too expensive to the consumer.

Right now, it’s being assumed that the PS5 could cost as much as $450–$500, considering that some of the materials needed to build it are expecting a huge surge in price—particularly when it comes to memory. SSDs, which Sony is planning to use for the console, are said to expect a 40 percent rise in price this year.

We don’t know the price tag that Sony will end up eventually. For now, the PS4 is said to be huge success because of its affordable price of $399. Compare that to the PS3 which was said to have stumbled on launch because the price tag was too much for consumers.

As for the announcement, we don’t know when Sony is planning it, but it better be early so as players would have the time to save up by the time the console comes out in the holidays. My guess is probably at E3 this coming June, but it could very well happen any other time that Sony decides.

Genndy Tartakovsky had ended Samurai Jack back in 2017, but it looks like Adult Swim isn’t done with this time-traveling swordsman yet. Just in, we have a new trailer for the game Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, and it has Jack once again facing Aku.

Check it out:

Here’s the official description:

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is a brand new, 3D hack-and-slash where players control Jack as he travels through different timelines towards his final showdown with Aku.

As per IGN, the game will be written by the show’s head writer Darrick Bachman and will feature a story that takes place before Jack’s final confrontation with Aku.

The game looks to be a hack-and-slash platformer, and it kind of looks similar to the 2004 game, Samurai Jack: The Shadow of Aku. Of course, we should expect some differences when it comes to Battle Through Time, seeing that the franchise has skipped one entire gen of consoles.

For now, the game is gearing up for a big reveal at PAX East during Adult Swim Games’ panel on Feb. 28. The panel will feature Bachman and series creator Genndy Tartakovsky, and they’ll be giving out more details for Battle Through Time.

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time has no release date yet, but it will be available for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC this summer.

We’re closing in on the launch of the next generation of consoles, Sony with the PS5 and Microsoft with the Xbox Series X. With CD Projekt Red also releasing the Cyberpunk 2077 title this year, there’s good news for people who want to get their hands on the game for the next-gen.

As per the official account, Cyberpunk 2077 will be free for the Xbox Series X if the owners have a copy of the Xbox One version. Here's the quote from their twitter post:

Gamers should never be forced to purchase the same game twice or pay for upgrades. Owners of #Cyberpunk2077 for Xbox One will receive the Xbox Series X upgrade for free when available.

It’s an insanely generous offer, but I’m sure this will earn some loyalty to the brand when it comes to the players. We don’t know when Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for the Xbox Series X; but I guess that point would be moot, seeing that Xbox Series X boasts a ‘generation of COMPATIBILITY’, meaning that you could play Cyberpunk on the console even if it wasn’t the upgraded version.

Hopefully this move will have other developers follow suit. I think it’s time we move past having to buy ‘remastered’ versions of games just so we can enjoy them for the next-gen of consoles.

No specific release date has been set for the Xbox Series X, but it is expected to release this year around the time of the holidays. Cyberpunk 2077 comes out on Sept. 17 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia.

With CD Projekt Red also releasing the Cyberpunk 2077 title this year, there’s good news for people who want to get their hands on the game for the next gen.

EA had gone through a huge stumble with Star Wars Battlefront II, but they got a win with Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order last year. Though we know that a sequel is coming, we have news that it’s already in active development.

According to Kotaku, EA is currently working on two Star Wars titles—the sequel to Fallen Order, and something called a “smaller, more unusual project” down in EA Motive in Montreal, Canada.

With Fallen Order proving to be a solid action-adventure game, I’m interested to see just how Respawn plans to expand the story. While I’m expecting Cal to continue being a playable character, I’m hoping we get to use the rest of the crew for the sequel. I would love to fly the Mantis around as Greez or use magic against enemies as Nightsister Merrin.

As far as the story goes, I’d be open to finding out what Cal was up to at the time of Rogue One. Heck, I’d be happy to see him interact with some more underground characters. I’d love for Alden Ehrenreich’s Han Solo to make an appearance, but I’d also be open to seeing Lando appear.

Going to the ‘smaller’ game in development, some think it’s a mobile game, but I’m sure there are some who would love a remastered podracing game.

No release date has been set for the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, but hopefully we get a solid update before the year ends. Fallen Order is now playable for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Looks like we won’t have to wait too long to see the further adventures of Cal Kestis.

Though initially set to be a PS4 exclusive, Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding has been announced to be coming to the PC, and you can pre-order the game now on Steam. What’s interesting is, Kojima has just put up a teaser on Twitter that could possibly be hyping up the PC port of the game.

You can check it out here.

With a release date set for the summer of 2020, fans are thinking that this is a teaser for the PC port that everyone has been waiting for. Then again, because of Kojima’s eccentric nature, some believe that this is simply him trying to share a parody of the film 1917, but with footage used from Death Stranding.

Though a lot of people were curious about the game, Death Stranding was met with divisive reviews when it released. On one hand, a lot of people applauded Kojima’s creativity when it came to crafting a world with unique visuals and gameplay; on the other, some thought that the game was a boring and tedious walking simulator topped off with a nonsensical story.

If anything, the experience could be completely different when it comes to PC. We’ll just have to wait and see until we get an official announcement.

From legendary game creator Hideo Kojima comes an all-new, genre-defying experience. Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the disconnected remnants of our future in his hands, he embarks on a journey to reconnect the shattered world one step at a time.

It’s been a long wait, but Final Fantasy VII Remake is finally coming to shelves this April. A lot of people usually like to leave some space free in their consoles in preparation for the game, and some leaked box art has confirmed just how much space they need to clear on their hard drives.

As per a leak on Reddit (via PushSquare), the Korean cover of Final Fantasy VII Remake has come out online, and it confirms that players will need 100GB space free for the game. This actually aligns with Square Enix’s announcement back in E3 2019 that the game would ship with two Blu-Ray discs.

The post has since been deleted, but you can still check out the photo here. Then again, I think it’s best to take the news with a grain of salt. Until we get an official announcement from Square, this is the best bit of info we can cling to.

It’s actually said that this game is going to be the first installment of an ongoing Final Fantasy VII series, but nevertheless, we should still expect a “full game.” Some suspect that the thing that’s eating up a lot of file space are actually the high-end cutscenes, but until the game comes out, all we can really do is guess.

Pre-Orders are already up for Crystal Dynamics’s Avengers game, and we just got a look at something called the Earth’s Mightiest Edition.

This Earth’s Mightiest Edition not only comes with the deluxe version of Marvel's Avengers, but it will also feature specific memorabilia alluding to each member. Each piece from the package is attributed to a playable Avenger in the game. You have Black Widow’s belt buckle, a Mjolnir keychain, a Hulk bobblehead, blueprints for Iron Man’s prototype armor, a printed photo of Kamala with the Avengers, and probably the most valuable piece, a colored statue of the Captain America monument in the game.

As for items not related to specific heroes, you get an Avengers steelbook as well as an ‘Honorary Avengers Pin’. Plus you get access to the game 72 hours before the official launch.

Pre-ordering this edition will cost you a whopping $199.99, but it’s probably fair, considering that the statue of Captain America alone is probably worth close to $150. If you’re up for it, you can pre-order it here.

Marvel’s Avengers is an epic, third-person, action-adventure game that combines an original, cinematic story with single-player and co-operative gameplay*.
The spread of the Coronavirus has already lead to a lot of shortages and cancelled events. Besides gaming tournaments getting postponed in China, news suggests that there could be a shortage when it comes to the production of the Nintendo Switch this year.

According to Bloomberg, Nintendo may not be able to meet consumer demands when it comes to the Switch seeing that a lot of key components are produced in China, and there is now a shortage of supplies; delaying the assembly partner which is located in Vietnam.

A spokesperson from Nintendo told the site:

"We do not see any major impact on the shipment to the U.S. currently, but we will remain vigilant and take steps if necessary. It’s possible the supply would be affected by the virus if it becomes more widespread and prolonged."

The assessment isn’t really solid yet, but it’s very likely that something could change down the line. Some think that this could make an impact to the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons this coming March 20. The special edition bundle for the game included an Animal Crossing theme for the Switch, and it’s also said to have been delayed because of the outbreak.

For now, all we can really do is wait and see what happens. There are still probably some Switches available for purchase now, but maybe we could see some change in the market come April. Time will tell.
