Following the release of the Last of Us Part II, people are now looking at the next big game which is Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch Productions. The studio has just dropped a new cinematic trailer for the game, and we have a look at our protagonist Jin.

Check it out:

Here’s also an official description for the game:

Tsushima is on the brink of destruction. In the wake of a crushing defeat at the hands of ruthless Mongol invaders, noble samurai Jin Sakai must sacrifice everything to protect what’s left of his home and people. As he embarks on an epic adventure for the freedom of Tsushima, he must set aside samurai traditions, embrace unconventional methods, and forge a new path—the path of the Ghost.

The new cinematic trailer teases the setting of the game as well as the play-style, with Jin making use of several different gadgets, and of course, his katana.

Because of FromSoftware's SEKIRO: Shadows Die Twice, the Medieval Japan setting has become infamous for Souls-like levels of difficulty. Ghost of Tsushima will hopefully be a lot more friendly for novice fans of the period.

With The Last of Us Part II basically being a divisive release for Naughty Dog, hopefully, Sucker Punch will have a more generally accepted game when this game comes out next month.

Ghost of Tsushima comes out on the PS4 on July 17. For more games, you can check out our updated list of upcoming PlayStation 4 games as well as the complete list of all upcoming PS5 releases.

Cyberpunk 2077 was originally set to come out in April, but the game has been delayed multiple times, recently settling for a November release. While this may come as a bummer for some fans, CD Projekt Red has released a new gameplay trailer to try and keep them excited for the game.

Check it out:

</

While the trailer focuses on a character trying to pull off a heist, one of the main hooks of Cyberpunk is the freedom of choices that you can make in the game. Whether you want to be a hardened criminal or a more law-abiding citizen, Cyberpunk is promising that you can have that option and be whoever you want to be.

It’s also worth mentioning that we have one more short appearance from Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves). While Reeves is one of the main hooks of the game, the devs may want to be sparing when it comes to revealing his role.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to launch on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, PS5, and Xbox Series X on Nov. 19.

Cyberpunk 2077 Gets a New Gameplay Trailer

Very few game titles manage to make their mark in pop-culture, but SNK’s Metal Slug franchise remains to be a classic. It’s been a while since we got a Metal Slug title for console, but a new title is being worked on for mobile gaming.

Check out the trailer:

As it turns out, TiMi Studios is teaming up with SNK Corporation to bring us a new Metal Slug mobile game which they are dubbing Metal Slug Code: J. It doesn’t look like Code J is the official title, and we should get something more solid before the year ends.

SNK Game Producer Yasuyuki Oda said about the upcoming title, "Metal Slug has such an amazing history of great action and gameplay so we're proud to bring this to mobile gamers around the world… We're happy to work closely with such a strong developer as TiMi Studios on this latest Metal Slug title."

On the TiMi side of things, general manager of J1 studio Winco Qin says:

"Metal Slug is one of the great arcade franchises and a perfect fit for mobile play,… Our team has been focused on a faithful recreation of the game's classic shoot'em-up style, easily accessible for players that's fun for new and existing fans of the genre."

Metal Slug is one of those franchises that only really works in its original format. Though there have been attempts to update on the series, they have never been able to get the same level of prestige as the originals. While mobile seems to be the way to go for the series.

No release date has been announced for the Metal Slug Code: J but hopefully it comes out sometime later this year.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate already has a fantastically huge roster of characters, but that hasn’t stopped devs from adding even more faces to the fray. The next hero has been announced, and it was revealed to be Min Min from Nintendo’s ARMS.

Game Director Masahiro Sakurai himself presented the new hero in an in-depth video which you can watch below:

Including DLC characters, Min Min will be the 81st hero to join the game. Besides special powers, she also comes with hero own unique stage called “Spring Stadium.”

Nintendo of America’s Senior VP of Sales and Marketing Nick Chavez had this to say about Min Min in Smash Bros:

“Min Min from ARMS marks the first of six exciting new fighters joining the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster through Fighters Pass Vol. 2, broadening the diversity of unique fighters available to players… As our support for the game continues through regular updates and DLC, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate remains the premier destination for video game fans to battle it out alongside many of the most iconic characters in video game history.”

Min Min is actually part of the Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2 which comes with the retail price of $29.99. If you don’t want to buy the whole pack, you can get access to Min Min with the Challenger Pack 6 which sells for $5.99.

It’s actually been three years since Heroes of the Storm had introduced Overwatch’s Hanzo to the fray, but now they’re ready to bring back one more face from Blizzard’s hit shooter.

This is Mei’s official description:

Lured by her inquisitive nature and a trail of bizarre climate phenomena, world-famous scientist Mei-Ling Zhou stumbled upon the Nexus and was soon enlisted in the fearsome battles that raged within.

One of the first agents to rejoin Overwatch, Mei has a strong sense of right and wrong, and she’s determined to stand up for the weak and innocent everywhere, no matter which Realm they hail from. She’s a powerful ally and a spine-shivering foe, with advanced weather-altering technology that shifts the very architecture of the battleground.

Get your parka on and prepare for Mei’s arrival in Heroes of the Storm!

Just like the other Overwatch heroes in the game, Mei has use of her abilities in her original franchise and then some. She’s able to freeze herself into a block of ice, as well as build ice walls and freeze multiple enemies at a time.

As for specific special abilities in HotS, she can also build a giant snowball that she can use to ram enemy heroes.

Smite has always been about pitting gods and other mythological beings against each other, but after the big Cthulhu announcement, it looks like the game is ready to bring in some unexpected (but very welcome) faces.

Just in, Smite has announced the upcoming Avatar Battle Pass, and it will bring the likes of Aang, Korra, and Zuko into the game. Here’s the teaser:

While some may think that these are all new characters, it looks like they will be enhanced skins for existing heroes; with Aang for Merlin, Korra for Skadi, and Zuko for Susano. No doubt the skins will also come with some specific effects that are more accurate to the characters.

This is sure to get Avatar fans excited, and it’s possible that this could have been done as cross promotion for the upcoming live-action series on Netflix.

Hopefully, this all culminates in an Avatar: The Last Airbender video game. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Activision had successfully brought back the Crash Bandicoot franchise with remasters of the N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing, but come October, they are looking to explore new ground. Just in, we have our first trailer for the next traditional Crash game, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.

Here’s the logline:

It’s About Time ⏰ for a brand-wumping new #CrashBandicoot game! ? Crash fourward into a time-shattering adventure in Crash Bandicoot™ 4: It’s About Time.

While there have been multiple entries in the Crash franchise before the remaster, it looks like the devs are going to be ignoring it, making this game a direct sequel to Crash Bandicoot: Warped. This could be a blow to fans who enjoyed Wrath of Cortex, but maybe Activision can find ways for other fan favorites to come to the game.

We don’t have a full breakdown of what the story will be for It’s About Time. It may stay true to the core Crash Bandicoot formula, with Cortex planning his revenge and Crash and Coco running around special maps trying to collect certain items. We can also expect those special missions which require vehicles or different terrain.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is set to come out for the Xbox One and PS4 on Oct. 9.

The Steam Summer Game Festival has just kicked off, and Skystone Games is joining in on the fun with a free demo for their upcoming zombie game, Undying.

The demo will be available from June 16–June 22 and will give players ‘a taste of what’s to come.’ Here’s the teaser that was dropped at GamesCom:

Here’s the description of the story:

Undying, the upcoming title from Vanimals, tells the story of mother Anling and her son Cody. Infected by a zombie bite, Anling's days are numbered. She must now fight to survive, not for herself but her young son, Cody. Players will strive to ensure Cody's survival in this zombie infested world by protecting him, searching for safety, and teaching him valuable skills, at any cost.

With all the excitement coming from the release of The Last of Us Part II later this week, I wonder how Undying plans to set itself apart, what with its premise of an adult trying to guide a younger character through the apocalypse. If anything, Undying doesn’t look as graphic as The Last of Us, and the game mechanics should be different as compared to TLOU’s shooter format.

Vanimals founder Kun Wang did have this to say about the game:

“Undying is something very near and dear to our hearts… We believe there’s room for a game in the zombie genre that pulls at your heartstrings as much as it thrills you, and we can’t wait for everyone to try the demo this week during the Steam Summer Game Festival.”

Undying becomes available for Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Android, and iOS sometime in 2021.

There are a lot of big games coming out this year, and after The Last of Us Part II, everyone is eagerly anticipating the release of Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, the game has been delayed a third time.

As told in a letter from CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 will have to move from its September release date to November 19. The announcement reads:

“We are fully aware that making such a decision costs us your trust and trading trust for additional time is one of the hardest decisions a game developer can make. And despite we think it's the right decision for the game, we'd still like to apologize for making you wait longer. Our intention is to make Cyberpunk 2077 something that will stay with you for years to come. In the end, we hope you understand why we did what we did."

When it comes to fixes, the devs iterate that the content and gameplay of Cyberpunk has already been finished. The real problem lies with the numerous bugs that plague the game; you can’t have something so expansive and not have some details to iron out.

With the latest scandal of Crunch Culture revealed for studios like NetherRealm and Naughty Dog, hearing that games get delayed in order to give developers more time seems like the better path.

For now, Cyberpunk 2077 now sits on a release date of Nov. 19 for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia.
