Automachef isn't your run of the mill cooking game. In Team 17's latest release, the meals aren't prepared by grandma's or your own loving hands but by the robotic arms of an automated chef. So, there won't be a lot of chaotic running around the kitchen ala Ghost Town Games' couch co-op Overcooked, if that's what you're thinking. Automachef, like most robots, is focused on efficiency.

You, as the local human, are tasked with streamlining food production and churning out a passion for growing numbers. If there are any comparisons at all, Automachef feels at least like a mix between Overcooked and Human Resource Machine, where you program humans to fulfill tasks. The puzzler might also interest fans of Factorio and the upcoming open world strategy, Satisfactory.

There's three game modes on offer: a campaign mode where you manage energy, space, and resources in traditional levels; a contracts mode for creating your own kitchen-building empire, and a sandbox mode where you can let your kitchen ideas and imaginations fly.

Automachef is now available on the Nintendo Switch and PC, with a free demo up on Steam.

Dragon Quest Builders may only be number 28 on the list of Best Switch Games, with an impressive PlayScore of 8.37, there's no denying its achievement in successfully merging Minecraft building and crafting with Dragon Quest's storied role-playing history. Dragon Quest Builders II: A Sequel Done Right

While there's a mad rush for the latest Switch Lite console, Nintendo is quick to bring what they think is good news for players on the Switch.

In their latest press release, Nintendo announced two new additions to their expansive line of Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Games on the Nintendo Switch Online. First is the bug-exterminating Donkey Kong™ 3 and the building-destroying Wrecking Crew, both of which will be releasing on July 17th

Nintendo provided extended synopses for both games:

Wrecking Crew – In the days before Mario and Luigi became sports stars in their downtime from saving the princess, they tried their hands as one-man wrecking crews. With a hammer as their only tool, take control of the brothers and set out to destroy ladders, rip out pipes, knock out walls and detonate explosive devices. But make sure to plan your path of destruction carefully, as each building is designed as its own clever puzzle.

Donkey Kong 3 – Based on the third game in the enormously popular arcade series, Donkey Kong 3 introduces an exterminator named Stanley as he desperately tries to protect the flowers in his greenhouse from Donkey Kong. Armed only with a can of bug spray, Stanley must force Donkey Kong higher and higher into the greenhouse rafters until Donkey Kong is off the screen and the next stage is reached.

Other than the two new additions, Nintendo also introduced a new REWIND feature that will hopefully add your enjoyment of the NES games already on offer.

The rewind feature is a little like a Quick Save/Load. It allows you to go back a few frames from a possibly deadly mistake and saves you another run round the stage or level.

Nintendo Switch Online is a service on the Switch console that allows for online services like multiplayer and cloud backup on a subscription basis. More details here.

Those subscribed will also have access to their collection of over forty classic NES titles like The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros, and Donkey Kong--three series that still find themselves on the top Nintendo Switch Games list to this day.

Donkey Kong 3 and Wrecking Crew are working their way to the Nintendo Switch Online along with a rewind feature that will make everything easier, sort of.

Nintendo Switch Online to Get Two New NES Games and A Rewind Feature on July 17th

There has been plenty of doubts recently but Nintendo is still fighting to bring their first full Pokemon game to the Top Switch Games lists.

In their latest announcement, Nintendo introduces us to the game-changing phenomenon that is Gigantamaxing.

While we recently learned about Dynamixing, a special feature in Galar Pokemon that seems to change the size of the Pokemon for more epic battles. With Gigantamaxing, Pokemon don't change sizes, they also change the appearance and allow for the use of special G-Max Moves.

The two Pokemon revealed to have these capabilities are Drednaw and Corviknight.

Gigantamax Drednaw
Type: Water/Rock
Height: 78′9″
Weight: Unknown
Ability: Strong Jaw / Shell Armor

The power of Gigantamaxing has allowed Drednaw to stand on its hind legs and become bipedal. From its standing position, it can come crashing down on opposing Pokémon and crush them with its massive body. Drednaw normally keeps its neck retracted within its shell, but when it attacks, it can rapidly shoot its neck out. Its jaws are also incredibly strong and can easily bite through huge metal towers. The strength of its jaws combined with the force of its neck gives Drednaw the power to punch a hole through a rocky mountain in a single strike. Water-type moves used by Gigantamax Drednaw will change to G-Max Stonesurge. G-Max Stonesurge doesn’t just deal damage to an opponent—it will scatter sharp rocks around the opponent and cause Pokémon entering the battlefield to take damage.

Gigantamax Corviknight
Type: Flying/Steel
Height: 45′11″
Weight: Unknown
Ability: Pressure/Unnerve

Corviknight uses its massive wings to catch updrafts created by Gigantamax energy to hover in the air while it battles. The armor on its body has been reinforced, so attacks from Pokémon on the ground barely have any effect. Gigantamax energy has caused the armor covering Corviknight’s wings to separate and become blade birds, capable of flying independently. Flying-type moves used by Gigantamax Corviknight will change to G-Max Wind Rage, which removes any effects of moves like Reflect, Light Screen, Spikes, and Electric Terrain that the opponents may have.

The new video also highlights a few adorable new pokemon like Alcremie, a cream type pokemon that distracts with its sweet cream scent; Rolycoly, a coal pokemon that gets a speedboost form Fire and Water type moves; and Duralodon, a steel/dragon type pokemon with both light and heavy metal abilities.

It also showed Gym leaders like the strongest, Leon; the fighting type expert Bea; and the ghost-type Gym leader Allister. These, alongside characters Chairman Rose, the businessman and chairman of the Pokemon League; as well as his secretary Oleana who, in turn, acts as the Rose's company vice president.

Pokemon Sword and Shield is set release on the Switch on November 15, 2019

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was one of the most anticipated Switch releases and it's finally out. It's a return to form for the famed director Koji Igarashi, who helped create the classic platform action RPG series, Castlevania, and thus formed at least half of what is now known as the metroidvania genre. Following the release of modern masterpieces like Hollow Knight and Dead Cells, Bloodstained could not have come at a better time.

Already released on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One with rave reviews, this recent Switch port may still only have a Provisional PlayScore, it looks to follow the pattern. Critic reviews of Bloodstained on the Switch praised the game's level designs, weapon variety, and the sheer nostalgia of its designs.

Bloodstained Ritual of the Night takes place in a gothic, 18th century England and places players in the shoes of Miriam, an "orphan scarred by an alchemist curse which slowly crystallizes her body." Her quest to save humanity will be filled with collecting, crafting, and unlocking a vast array of weapons and equipment.

A project made possible through a successful kickstarter campaign back in 2015, the developers showed their dedication to their backers as well as their sense of humor in their last release date announcement trailer. Along with their progress and technological advancements in their last year of development, the trailer also answered to their fan feedback by putting old and new footage side by side.
