Pandemia: Virus Outbreak is about making difficult decisions that world leaders make every day. You have to save the world from the deadly threat of the virus. How you do it is up to you. But remember, every decision has it’s instant or postponed consequences.

As you can see, the gameplay is simple enough, with players merely having to choose between given moves in order to try and stop the spread of the pandemic. Pandemia actually draws influence from games like Reigns and Plague, Inc.—the latter having gained more popularity ever since COVID-19 started locking down countries.

Pandemia: Virus Outbreak is described as a premium offline single player experience, and you shouldn’t expect to pay for any in-app purchases. While some games look to have multiple layers of complex elements, this one looks to have a simple format where players can swipe left and right on what to do with the pandemic.

Pandemia: Virus Outbreak is now available on Steam at 40% off for the next few hours.

Pockets of Energy Entertainment's Pandemia: Virus Outbreak and its markdown price will expire soon.

Blizzard launched Overwatch back in 2016, and since then the game has grown to be one of the most popular online multiplayer games today. Overwatch is actually celebrating its fourth anniversary, and we have a new trailer commemorating the event.

Check it out:

Probably the biggest loot coming to the game are the legendary skins for characters Mercy, Zenyatta, Ashe, Reaper, and Wrecking Ball. You’ll also get a chance to win some Epic skins for heroes Sigma, Widowmaker, and McCree.

The anniversary event is also infamous for dance emotes, and we have some new ones for Sigma and the latest hero Echo. Roadhog also gets this emote called Big Guy which is going to be his second dans emote in the game.

With every anniversary also comes the chance to win rare skins from previous events of the game. If you’re not so keen on spending your credits on the anniversary skins, you can have your pick from cosmetics from past events like Halloween and Winter Wonderland.

I’ll admit, I’m kind of bummed that we don’t have a new game mode introduced with the anniversary, but players are sure to be kept busy with the return of old game modes from past events like Lucio Ball, Mei’s Snowball Offensive, and Junkenstein’s Revenge.

For more details, you can check here.

The Overwatch Anniversary event runs from May 19–June 9. Overwatch is now playable for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

While the Aftermath expansion comes with new characters and a new campaign, there’s actually going to be a free treat for gamers who already own Mortal Kombat 11. Friendships will be making their comeback in the game, and NetherRealm Studios has released an official trailer for them.

Check it out:

Friendships will be available for all the core characters and even the DLC ones like Sindel and Nightwolf. We don’t get a peek at Friendships for incoming characters Fujin, Sheeva, and Robocop, but they may also get their own when the expansion comes out.

Friendships won’t be the only free thing coming with the expansion either. Players will get access to the new stage of the game like the Dead Pool the Soul Chamber from Mortal Kombat 3. All players will also get access to stage fatalities, which will be available for stages existing in the game as well.

With the Kombat pack completed and Aftermath coming later this month, a lot of fans are curious when NetherRealm will announce the second Kombat Pack with new characters. We should probably expect a delay because of COVID-19, but hopefully the next batch of incoming characters will finally include Evil Dead’s Ash (Bruce Campbell), who was said to be delayed because of a licensing dispute.

If you already own the game, the Aftermath expansion is going to run for $39.99, but if still don’t own it and want the full package, you can spend $59.99.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is set to come out this May 26, but the base game is available now for PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4.

Friendships will be making their comeback in the game, and NetherRealm studios has released an official trailer for them.

Twin-stick shooters have been in the shadow of the more popular FPS genre, but you can’t deny they are always a source of very interesting, experimental games. Just in, we have a new upcoming game called Retrograde Arena from Freemergency Studio.

Check out the trailer below:

Here’s the official description:

Today, Freemergency Studio and Another Indie are pleased to announce Retrograde Arena, a stylish physics-based twin-stick shooter! In Retrograde, weapons don't kill, but the environment does! Retrograde Arena completely reimagines the twin-stick formula with dynamic movement enhanced by weapon recoil.

Guns aren’t just for attack, they are for speed, dodging, sharp corners, and brutal counter-attacks. Weapon recoil, bouncing beams, and environmental (deadly hazards) awareness make Retrograde Arena an entirely new kind of competitive multiplayer experience.

Dripping with gorgeous neon and thrumming with powerful synth-wave tunes, Retrograde Arena captures 80’s vibes and puts players in various battles for dominance!

Retrograde Arena is self-classified as a party game and is probably best played in a room full of friends. Besides the dazzling visuals, players will be able to cycle through three game modes, King’s Crown, Supersizer, and Last Man Standing. The game also promises more things to come, so this could just be the tip of the iceberg.

Though the game isn’t out yet, RA has managed to nab the Rising Star Award and Best Innovation Awards at the SEA Game Awards last year. Hopefully Freemergency will manage to stick the landing when this comes out.

Retrograde Arena lands on Steam Early Access this coming May 28.

For anyone who wants to play with friends during the lockdown, we've got our list of free multiplayer mobile games for Android to keep you going!

10. SHADOWGUN LEGENDS - FPS PvP and Coop Shooting Game

Once getting top ranks in the yearly mobile rankings, Madfinger Games did a lot of things right in this frenetic futuristic shooter. Focusing on co-op multiplayer gameplay, Shadowgun Legends packs a punch and this impression stays true in the mobile shooting market to this day. Not only does it have some impressive console-like graphics, but it also keeps you coming back for more for its bite-sized action with new a flurry of customizations and a gear system that makes you feel fully in control.

There might be some better multiplayer games out there, but this game is still premium when it comes to a futuristic FPS and RPG gameplay. It receives a playscore of 8.4

9. MonsterCrafter

For fans of Minecraft's voxel aesthetics, this game is a perfect sideline to the blocky adventures. Instead of a whole world to explore, Naquatic's title focuses on creating your very own monster, training them, and helping them fight against the other monsters of the world.

It's a lot like Pokemon, except without the exploration and the RPG storylines. The story is your fight through their campaign, and eventually against the other colorfully created monsters around the globe. The multiplayer experience might be a while from download, but it is an integral part of seeing just how far your monster has grown.

It has a playscore of 8.44

8. Dark Legends

Sure we might be in our kind of apocalyptic situation right now, but if you want to take it to another level, this game will let you do just that. Show your fangs and dive into the freaky underworld of Spacetime Studios' MMORPG. Start out the journey with your friends and go out into the streets to fight monsters and form alliances.

It's a pretty old game, all things considered, but Dark Legends is still getting fresh updates to this day. As a free game, there are still some kinks with having to grind hard for outfits and weapons. But, if you wanna shoot monsters while shooting the breeze with friends, this will definitely do you well.

It has a playscore of 8.43

7. GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience

Realism is at the heart of Gameloft's GT Racing series, and it's never been more obvious than in this second outing. It calls itself the real car experience and it does everything to deliver.

GT Racing 2 offers 4 different weather and time conditions, driving and steering customizations, over 1400 events, and 71 licensed cars to drive on their 13 different tracks. That's a whole lot of content, and beautiful too, with cars like Ferraris, and their partner luxury brand, Mercedes Benz. It might not have the best graphics anymore in 2020, but for an enjoyable multiplayer game it definitely has a lot to offer.

If you have a gigabyte of space to spare, and a bit of patience for its microtransactions, GT Racing 2 is still quite the experience with a playscore of 8.47

6. CATS: Crash Arena Turbo Stars

Even without any opposable thumbs the felines of Zeptolab's CATS: Crash Arena can be pretty good engineers, and you can be too. The game's whole objective relies on creating the ultimate robot killing machine. Literally starting out from scratch, have a go at frankensteining your own metal doomsday and show it off on the local battlegrounds.

The more you fight, the more chances you get of looting powerful parts from your opponents and the likelier you are to survive the next battle. It's a constant fight for improvement, and it's fun to strategize against the variety of designs that appear in their asynchronous multiplayer mode.

The game is free with a few ads, but you'll be able to buy the ad-free experience for cheap, as well as some exciting parts for your dream machine. It has a playscore of 8.49

5. Asphalt 8: Airborne

Now that we're all stuck inside, it's only normal to wanna scratch that needs for speed. This 8th installment of Gameloft's racing series is loaded with all the necessary thrills of the casual racing enthusiast. But what makes it a good addition to this list is the fact that you can compete with other racers across the globe too. So, aside from the natural excitement of zooming the track, if you're good enough, you'll also get that smug sense of superiority whenever you beat the competition.

Race using their collection of over 190 high-performance machines, and customize and upgrade each of them to continue your reign at the top. Packed with exciting locations and even more exciting stunts, it's a joy to play...if your phone’s got the horsepower for it.

It has a playscore of 8.52

4. Arcane Legends MMO-Action RPG

More legends action from the same company that brought us the underworld of Dark Legends. Unlike the other game, this is definitely the bright and sunnier option, with its magical medieval landscape. The choices in characters are a little slim, with three classes: warriors, rogues, and sorcerers. But, between those three, you'll have dozens of skills and thousands of customizations to prepare you to freely explore the online world of Arlor.

As another release from 2012, the graphics haven't really changed much since, but it's still constantly updated with brand new events that keep you coming back for more. Collect the legendary weapons, play co-op with friends, and compete in the PVP.

It has a playscore of 8.53

3. Call of Duty: Mobile

Activision has been at the forefront of multiplayer FPSs for a long time now. This time, they've taken their skills to the mobile, allowing all their old fans to take the action wherever they go, and to invite new ones into a breakthrough experience of the Call of Duty franchise.

Just like their console counterparts, Call of Duty Mobile is also next-level with their graphics, keeping you attuned to the chaos and excitement of the battlefield. It's a two in one offering, where you either get to engage in brutal 5v5s with friends or dive into large scale action with their own spin on the Battle Royale genre.

It hasn't been released too long yet, but it's already made waves in the mobile FPS market. A content-packed mobile game, it's definitely a good avenue to while away the hours with your buddies.

It has a score of 8.53

2. BombSquad

And speaking of action, you've got a lot of that coming for you in this explosive multiplayer from Eric Froemling. What makes this game awesome is just how much it doesn't take itself seriously.

That means even more hilarity for everyone who jumps into their weird variety of antics. Like a fusion of super smash and Mario kart, you're given a stage where you aim to defeat each other and become the reigning Bomberman.

Using the array of special items, from all the different kinds of explosives to the simple use of fists. Allowing up to 8 players in one arena, Bombsquad is all sorts of fun. And, it can get addictive for anyone who just wants to kill and destroy in the most hilarious ways possible.

Strike a match, and meet your maker with a playscore of 8.54

1. Clash of Clans

SUPERCELL's breakthrough game was such a success when it first released in 2013, that 7 years later, there's still so much to explore. We've probably seen this game before, and it's even likelier that you've tried it out yourself. In Clash of Clans, the thrill isn't just in building the most impenetrable fortress, it's also going out and pillaging others for resources.

It's a dog eat dog world, but if you're bottom of the rung, there are hundreds of guilds out there just waiting for their next big recruit. Join friends or strangers, and play your part in a never-ending spree of battles and defenses.

It's a free game, and there might be a lot of waiting involved. But there are always decent options in-game for anyone who wants to speed up the process.

A mainstay for a lot of mobile gamers, it's number one with a playscore of 8.76

BAFTA nominated developer Firefly Studios introduces three new units for their upcoming game, Stronghold: Warlords, in their latest video published on their official youtube channel.

The new video details a lot of the features and strategies that can be used alongside the units introduced specifically for the series' new setting.

Check out the video for yourself below:

Here are the summaries of the three units:

Samurai

With the ability to charge down enemies foolish enough to stand in their way and eliminate high priority units like Generals with their Precision Strike, Samurai have a unique role to play in the game. True to their historical roots, these disciplined feudal fighters are best used in combat against priority targets or to quickly shut down foes with powerful abilities of their own. With a steady movement speed and weakness to gunpowder, they are however susceptible to swarms of cavalry and gunpowder-fuelled missile fire.

Imperial Guardsman

An expensive but valuable unit, the heavy mace-wielding Imperial Guardsman will make a serious dent in any enemy siege force. Able to build up a Heavy Attack while in combat, the Guardsmen can then deal area damage in a wide arc when triggered. The Guardsmen can quickly tip the scales in your favour mid-siege—use him to clear castle walls, crush unarmoured skirmish troops, or dismantle siege weapons.

Imperial Warrior

While the Imperial Warrior lacks a unique ability like that of the Samurai or Guardsman, he makes up for it with a high armor rating and damage output thanks to his weapons of choice. Resistant to Archer fire, Fire Lancers, and all but the heaviest siege weapons, the Imperial Warrior should form part of the front line in any castle siege or any large scale open field battle.

Stronghold: Warriors is the latest game in Firefly Studios' 'castle-sim' series and it's the first time it explores the history and battle tactics of the East, consisting of Mongol hordes, Chinese imperial warriors, and Japanese samurai.

With the success of games with similar settings like Total War: Shogun 2 which currently ranks at #9 in the list of Top PC Strategies, it's promising to see what kind of success Firefly Studios will find with this latest installment.

Stronghold: Warriors is set to release on the PC in 2020.
