Airhead, the metroidvania-style puzzle platformer developed by Octato and Massive Miniteam, has received official release dates for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Publisher HandyGames announced that these versions will be released on February 12, 2024.
Airhead will let players explore a post-apocalypse with a ‘sprawling and interconnected’ world. The game is led by Airhead, the slowly deflating “Head” and “Body” joined together. As Airhead, players explore the world and solve puzzles, collecting air tanks to keep the Head inflated.
"We are excited for fans to experience the inventive and darkly beautiful world of Airhead for the first time,” HandyGames CEO Christopher Kassulke said.
“As a publisher, we strive to create evocative games and with beautiful artwork and intriguing mechanics, Airhead will be a unique entry for fans of Metroidvania-style adventures,” he added.
HandyGames will also release Airhead on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. Release dates for these versions will be announced at a later date, the publisher said.
