Atari's Unreal Engine 5 remaster of the 2002 kaiju brawler costs $29.99 and is out on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2.

On PC, it's sold through Steam. Physical editions are available for PS5 and Switch 2, and the Switch 2 edition costs $39.99, according to Gematsu.

What's new in the remaster

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered comes from Pipeworks Studios, the developer of the original game. Its biggest addition is online multiplayer. Console store listings show support for two players online and up to four locally.

The graphics have been rebuilt, and a new unlock system lets you open up monsters, arenas and gallery items in any order. Each kaiju also gets its own single-player campaign, according to Atari's announcement.

Monsters and arenas

The game has 12 kaiju and eight arenas, each with a day and a night version. The arenas include real-world cities, Monster Island and the Alien Mothership. You can pick up buildings and use them as weapons.

It launched on November 3, 2026. On PlayStation and Xbox, it went live at 9 a.m. ET, which is 14:00 UTC, according to Pogwire. Atari first revealed the remaster in June.
