Netmarble's Tower of God: New World To Launch July 26

XSEED Games has released the opening cinematic for their new action RPG, Silent Hope. The game is set to launch on the Switch and PC (via Steam) in North America and Europe on October 3.

The short film introduces the seven characters at their base camp preparing for an expedition into the Abyss. Setting the tone of the game is the title track from popular Japanese band, KAMI WA SAIKORO WO FURANAI. It features members Shuusaku Yanagita, Kiichi Yoshida, Gaku Kiriki, and Ryousuke Kurokawa.

The band's lead singer, Shuusaku Yanagita, shared his excitement about the project. I love RPGs ever since I was a child... When I was chosen to write the theme song for Silent Hope, a brand new action RPG, my eyes lit up just like I was a kid again.

Silent Hope takes transports players into a world silenced by a King who stole speech from people before disappearing into the Abyss. Years later, seven heroes with newly-discovered powers arise. To restore peace, they must venture deep into the Abyss, find the long-lost King, and free the Princess.

The story and themes of this game, set in a world that has lost the ability to community through language, feel like an antithesis to today's social media society. A single word can both hurt and save. We hope that the message of Silent Hope and of our song will reach not only audiences in Japan but around the world., Yanagita added.

Silent Hope embraces some aspects of classic isometric dungeon-crawlers and modern game mechanics. Players will venture into the Abyss, craft new weapons, and upgrade gears. Every expedition is a new experience, with new map layout, enemies, and challenges.

Preorders for the Day 1 physical edition, priced at $49.99, are now open at the XSEED Games Store and participating retailers. This edition includes an artbook and soundtrack. The base game is also available for for $39.99 on eShop and Steam.

Developer Wrenchpunk Games has recently unveiled the trailer for their upcoming stealth game, Gust of Wind. The trailer reveals a glimpse of the game's stealth gameplay and dark setting. The game will launch on Steam's Early Access platform on July 31, 2023.

Gust of Wind offers players an immersive journey through a rust-ridden, post-apocalyptic world. The players fight intensely for survival among the ruins of a foregone industrial-age civilization.

In Gust of Wind, players take control of a mutant gull tasked with defending their home as the last bastion in the world. Players must sneak, climb, and fight to save their hometown from the "Redscarves" threatening to take over. The town's pneumatic weapons are its only defense, so the player's crew of gulls must journey across the seas to find a working compressor.

The game features a variety of environments to explore, including sail ships, islands, and mine tunnel networks. There are also several options for accessing areas, such as boats, grappling hooks, and cranes. The game's dialog system is dynamic, meaning the story will change depending on the player's actions.

Stealth is essential in Gust of Wind, and players must use covert tactics to succeed. Non-lethal takedowns and disposing of bodies allow players to avoid vigilant guards. But, when stealth fails, players can use everyday objects like hand tools and torches as makeshift weapons. Battles in Gust of Wind are short yet intense.

Key features of Gust of Wind include:

Approximately 3 hours of gameplay across three missions set in small yet expansive environments.

A variety of gameplay options, including stealth, climbing, combat, rowing, and exploration

Immerse in an old-school stealth experience with minimal hand-holding with indicators

Equip melee weapons, engage in dual wielding, and use throwable items such as grappling hooks and "doze grenades."

Experience a survival-focused story featuring dialogue that adapts to the player's actions.

Traverse open environments foster a tense atmosphere enhanced by a captivating soundtrack.
