Guillaume Jamet, Head of Publishing for Dear Villagers, said, It’s not focused on explosions or combat, but rather a simple tale of people in an inhospitable place making complex, morally ambiguous decisions. It’s the kind of sci-fi that sticks with you long after the credits roll.

In celebration of Cult of the Lamb's one-year anniversary, an 'unholy union' with Don't Starve Together was announced today.

Developers Massive Monster and Klei Entertainment revealed details of the new crossover event, which brings content and discounts to both titles. A trailer for the event shows creatures and characters from each game coming together.

For Cult of the Lamb, a new Penitence mode will need players to keep their followers alive by ensuring they eat and sleep. However, a special Webber follower breaks the rules by never dying from starvation. Don't Starve Together-themed decorations will also be available for your cult's compound.

Don't Starve players aren't left out, with a new Cult of the Lamb crown trinket discoverable in the Oasis biome. Offering this crown to the Antlion boss earns blueprints for a Tabernacle decoration, Brick Flooring to increase speed, and fancy Gold Flooring.

The crossover also brings login bonuses to each game, with free items and pet skins crossing over from the other title.

Cult of the Lamb and Don't Starve Together are on sale across platforms, making now the perfect time to pick them up. With the new content updates, fans of either game have more reason to give the other a try.

The event celebrates the success of Cult of the Lamb, which has sold over 2 million copies since its launch one year ago. The comedic RPG about building your cult resonated with many gamers. While very different in tone and style, both titles share elements of gathering resources and crafting items that should appeal to fans of either game.

This unholy communion will tempt gamers to step outside their comfort zone and see what the other side has to offer - be it starting a cult or surviving the wilderness. One thing is clear: your free time is about to be sacrificed.

Norse Legends unleashed: The Fate of Baldr to sail onto Steam.

Ananki Game Studio Forges a Viking Saga in The Fate of Baldr

The first half of 2023 for Korean game developer Netmarble may be financially grim. But the Seoul-based company is looking forward to releasing new titles before this year ends.

Netmarble announced that its plans to launch new titles during the second half of 2023 would push through. A press statement stated they will roll out at least six new games globally. They will also introduce three titles to Mainland China.

According to a press release, Netmarble confirmed it will launch at least six new games globally and three titles in Mainland China in the second half of 2023.

The announcement came days after its recent regulatory filing showed that it remained in the red for the second quarter of this year.

Its CEO, Young-sig Kwon, attributed the losses to sluggish sales of its existing titles and the absence of new games from January to June.

We look forward to launching new titles in the second half of the year… despite performance being affected by an absence of new games and revenue decrease of existing titles in the first half, said Kwon.

Some games slated for a worldwide release this year included King Arthur: Legends Rise and Paragon: The Overprime.

Meanwhile, Ni no Nuni: Cross Worlds and The Seven Deadly Sins will welcome players in Mainland China soon.

Netmarble's financial report for the second quarter reported a slight increase in revenue. They generated $465.98 million in revenue, up by 0.1 percent compared to the first quarter. Their EBITDA also stood at $8.38 million. EBITDA stands for "earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization."

But Netmarble also posted a significant decline in earnings and profitability. Their EBITDA for the second quarter of 2023 was a 46.3 percent decrease compared to the first quarter.

They also reported an operating loss of $28.76 million and a net loss of $34.04 million for the second quarter of 2023.
Overseas markets remained their major revenue drivers, accounting for 86 percent of their total sales. North America was the most significant contributor, with a 52 percent share. It was followed by Korea, Europe, Southeast Asia, Japan, and other regions.

MARVEL Contest of Champions is still its top-performing title as of June. With the launch of new games, Netmarble expected an improvement in its financial performance in the second half of the year.

In Hammerwatch II, players will help King Roland resist Blight the Horrible and his dragon army. Fight against massive beasts and the undead in an epic quest—a journey through Hammer Island, the Fallowfields, and the shadowy Blackbarrow mountains.

Players can create their own Herian Hero by choosing one of five character classes: Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Wizard, or Warlock. They can customize their appearance and level up to unlock powerful new abilities and skills.

PC players can immerse themselves in a fully moddable universe. They can edit levels, create new stories, and craft unique experiences that diverge from the core Hammerwatch II gameplay.

A special edition of the game, Hammerwatch II: The Chronicles Edition, is also available. It can be purchased digitally for $39.99. This edition includes the remastered original Hammerwatch and additional character color palettes, facial accessories, and a character voice pack. The anniversary edition of the original game is also available on Steam.
