While Steam has made it easier for users to buy games, they also have a nifty option to let you send games as gifts for other people.
The process is simple enough for any user.

First, go to the main page of the game you want to buy. Then, click ‘Add to Cart’. You can add multiple games to your cart at one time.

<img src="https://cdn2.whatoplay.com/news/steamgiftguide1.jpg">

After adding your games, you should be able to view them in your cart. Right next to the main image of the game, you’ll see a gray bar that says ‘For My Account’. Click the button and select the option ‘This is a gift’. This means that you want to buy the game for another person.

<img src="https://cdn2.whatoplay.com/news/steamgiftguide2.jpg">

Afterwards, you can click on ‘Continue to Gift Options’ and finish the payment process.

<img src="https://cdn2.whatoplay.com/news/steamgiftguide3.jpg">

Remember that the person you’re giving the gift to needs to have a Steam account. Plus they should also be a part of your Friends List.

When it comes to sending your gift, Steam will also give you the option to send a message along with your gift. Make sure to write down the name of the recipient and your sentiment to them while signing off on your gift.

Steam also gives you an option to have the gift delivered on a specific day. This could be useful for scheduling gifts ahead of time.

<h2>Aside from games, can you gift DLC? Soundtracks? Bundle?</h2>

Of course. All you have to do is go to the main page of the DLC/Soundtrack/Bundle and follow the same process. Steam's gifting options for DLCs, bundles, and soundtracks are the same as those for regular games.

<h2>Epic doesn’t support gifting yet, or does it?</h2>

Officially, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/post/epic-gifts/">there are still no gift options on Epic Games Store</a>. The best you can do right now is send money directly to the person you want to send a gift to. That way, they can buy a game on the Epic Games Store themselves.

Others suggest logging into your friend’s account and buying the game there to keep them surprised.

Even though there isn’t an official option yet, multiple players have discussed it on the forums. It’s possible that EGS is already keeping the gifting option in mind for future updates.

<h2>Does GoG support gifting?</h2>

Yes, <a href="'https://whatoplay.com/post/gog-gifts/">GOG.com also supports gifting</a>. Simply purchase the order like usual. But before you pay for it, make sure to check the ‘Gift This Order’ option. This will open a window which will let you input the e-mail of the person you are gifting the game to. You will also have the option to leave a message along with your purchased gift.

How to Gift Games on Steam

A brand new shooter game is making its way to PC soon. And it features a world where the paranormal collides with nuclear fallout.

Antistatic Studios, a new indie developer, just unveiled their debut project titled <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/phantom-line/">Phantom Line</a>. A coop-shooter game, Phantom Line has <a href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/2400840">a playable demo on Steam</a> that will run until June 18th.

The cooperative first-person shooter (FPS) is set in a chilling post-nuclear Eastern Europe. The game throws players into a world ravaged by war, where a new threat emerges. Anomalies, terrifying creatures, and unexplainable phenomena have breached through tears in space-time.

In it, players take the role of an elite soldier, the Operator, working under Mortfield Industries. The game's story kicks off when the Operator has been tasked to investigate one of its research facilities in Eastern Europe.

After it went off-grid, it is up to the Operators not only to shed light on the mystery but also to deal with a world torn by years of conflict and paranormal activities.

"With fire and chaos spreading quickly, you and your friends are on the frontline of humanity as its last defense," developers said.

Phantom Line's core mechanics featured a co-op (1-4) shooter, and procedurally-assisted open world.

"Phantom Line is our first game, which grew from our passion for the supernatural and war stories and was inspired by some of the biggest online paranormal communities," said Antistatic.

The developers have also recently opened a limited early demo version of the upcoming game. Called the Pre Alpha - June 2024 Playtest, PC players can access it until June 18th.

"Feedback is very important for our development process. We want to invite playtesters to include their input from the very start and shape the future of the game," developers said.

As of this writing, the demo for Phantom Line can only be played on a Windows PC using a mouse and keyboard. / ###

The prologue to Sobaka Studio's fast-paced action rogue-lite, <a href="">KIBORG</a>, is set to launch this Summer. It will be one of many <a href="https://whatoplay.com/post/upcoming-2024/">upcoming games releasing this year</a>.

KIBORG: Arena will be available on Steam for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The game was teased during the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/post/guerillacollective-2024/">Guerrilla Collective Showcase</a> with an official gameplay trailer.

KIBORG: Arena takes players into the shoes of Morgan Lee. Help him lead his ragtag group of resistance fighters on the prison planet Sigma. The prologue acts as an extended demo that showcases the game’s strengths.

The game is known for its satisfying brawler mechanics akin to Sifu or the Streets of Rage series. Engage in intense hand-to-hand combat, wield guns and unleash cybernetic abilities to fend off foes. Players must master the art of dodging, blocking, and parrying to survive relentless waves of enemies.

Players who prefer infinite replay value can play the Endless Mode. This allows players to face an infinite onslaught of increasingly challenging enemies.

KIBORG: Arena serves as a preparation before the full release of KIBORG. Players can gather resources to unlock permanent upgrades, forge alliances, and research forbidden technologies.

The full game promises procedurally generated missions filled with enemies and challenges. KIBORG lets players navigate around complex factions vying for control in Sigma’s megacity.

Each mission takes place within a single day. This pushes players to make strategic decisions with lasting consequences. The story progresses with each victory and defeat. This ensures a unique experience every time without relying on a game over screen.

“I’ve always wanted to create a game that combines my love of roguelites and brutal action games,” said Dimitry Kachkov, Head of Sobaka Studio. “I hope as players experience KIBORG: Arena, they experiment with every augment and weigh their choices throughout Morgan’s story.”

KIBORG: Arena is gearing up for its arrival this Summer. The full version of KIBORG will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam soon.

<h2>Metaphor: ReFantazio</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/metaphor-refantazio/" title="Metaphor: ReFantazio PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/metaphor-refantazio/" title="Metaphor: ReFantazio PS5 game">PS5</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/metaphor-refantazio/" title="Metaphor: ReFantazio Xbox Series X game">XSX</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/metaphor-refantazio/" title="Metaphor: ReFantazio PS4 game">PS4</a> | Oct 11, 2024

The next game from the Persona devs isn’t Persona 6. Fortunately, it still feels that way. Metaphor: ReFantazio is ATLUS’ next big thing. It’s a fresh IP carved from the success of its beloved <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/persona-5-royal/">Persona series</a>.

Set in a world where Fantasy is Reality, experience a different take on fairy tales in traditional <a href="https://whatoplay.com/best/jrpg/">JRPG</a> fashion. As the Protagonist, lead a band of heroes to save the Empire from falling apart. Gather allegiances from all corners of its gorgeous storybook-like world.

The visual novel aspect remains. Just like the Persona series, meet friends and forge relationships to acquire new powers. You can get attributes from the people closest to your cause by lending them aid.

Its mix of real-time and turn-based combat is a far cry from the SMT titles. Now players can have more agency to initiate battles and think twice before fighting against difficult enemies.

<h2>Star Wars: Outlaws</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/star-wars-outlaws/" title="Star Wars: Outlaws PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/star-wars-outlaws/" title="Star Wars: Outlaws PS5 game">PS5</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/star-wars-outlaws/" title="Star Wars: Outlaws Xbox Series X game">XSX</a> | August 30, 2024

The next Star Wars game doesn’t let you wield Lightsabers. Instead, you get blasters and a pet alien. In Outlaws you play as a bounty hunter named Kay Vess in the first ever <a href="https://whatoplay.com/best/open-world/">open-world</a> Star Wars game.

Guide her as she escapes the clutches of the Empire. Her journey takes her to new and familiar planets across the galaxy far, far away. As a scoundrel herself, you can encounter the Galaxy’s criminal syndicates and forge allegiances to survive this tyrannical era. Even Jabba the Hutt is here.

In typical Ubisoft-style open-worlds, you can explore points of interests across the endless space. Either on foot, speeder, or your ship the Trailblazer.

Its gameplay is a combination of third-person shootouts and adrenaline-pumping space battles. It’s just like EA’s <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/star-wars-jedi-survivor/">Star Wars Jedi</a> series, but without the power of the Force.

<h2>Star Wars: Hunters</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/star-wars-hunters/" title="Star Wars: Hunters Switch game">Switch</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/ios/star-wars-hunters/" title="Star Wars: Hunters iOS game">iOS</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/star-wars-hunters/" title="Star Wars: Hunters Android game">And</a> | Apr 9, 2024

There’s another Star Wars game coming this year and it’s something we least expect. Star Wars: Hunters borrows from the success of Blizzard’s <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/overwatch/">Overwatch</a>, transforming the iconic space opera into a hero shooter. This highlights the resurgence of the genre in this era of gaming.

The game is built for portable devices, namely iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch. So don’t expect this to come out on consoles and PC anytime soon.

Just like your typical hero-shooter, select from an iconic roster of characters. Each bringing their own unique skills to the arena. You can play as a Lightsaber wielding character or a droid. Engage in frenetic team-based third-person shootouts with other players across Star Wars’ iconic locations.

The game has 4 gameplay modes to choose from. This includes the traditional deathmatches and capturing points.

It’s a free to play title so don’t worry about spending a dime. Unless you want to open your wallets to microtransactions.

<h2>Assassin’s Creed Shadows</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/assassins-creed-shadows/" title="Assassin’s Creed Shadows PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/assassins-creed-shadows/" title="Assassin’s Creed Shadows PS5 game">PS5</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/assassins-creed-shadows/" title="Assassin’s Creed Shadows Xbox Series X game">XSX</a> | Nov 12, 2024

Ubisoft’s award-winning open-world <a href="https://whatoplay.com/best/rpg/">RPG</a> is going to the Land of the Rising Sun. Shadows marks the next mainline entry to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/assassins-creed-valhalla/">Assassin’s Creed</a>.

The game is set within Japan’s pivotal Warring States period. In this era of endless wars, the assassins must adapt, turning to the shadows.

Much like the other recent Assassin’s Creed entries, there are two playable characters to choose from. There’s Naoe, a lone shinobi woman capable of stealthier approaches. The other is the first black Samurai and one of Nobunaga’s trusted allies.

Together they work behind enemy lines and save Japan from oppressors. We haven’t seen any gameplay yet, but we’ll see more before its release this November 12.

<h2>Black Myth: Wukong</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/black-myth-wukong/" title="Black Myth: Wukong PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/black-myth-wukong/" title="Black Myth: Wukong PS5 game">PS5</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/black-myth-wukong/" title="Black Myth: Wukong Xbox Series X game">XSX</a> | Mar 25, 2024

It may not be developed by multi-billion dollar companies, but Black Myth: Wukong feels like a triple A title. It’s been 4 years since we caught a glimpse of this epic interpretation of Sun Wukong’s journey. Now, a release date is finally confirmed.

Based on the classic Chinese tale, “Journey to the West.” Wukong is an action RPG brandishing familiar combat from games like <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/devil-may-cry-5/">Devil May Cry</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/dark-souls-3/">Dark Souls</a>. Wukong can adapt in battle by transforming into a wasp, a brute monkey, and more.

The trailers alone prove that this is a massive game packed with crazy boss fights and fantastic enemy designs.

With its August release date locked in, we’ll get to see more Black Myth: Wukong trailers down the line.

<h2>S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/stalker-2/" title="Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/stalker-2/" title="Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Xbox Series X game">XSX</a> | Sep 5, 2024

Microsoft’s beloved S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series has stood the test of time. Even with Ukraine’s ongoing war and a lot of development issues, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is officially coming this year.

Set in the heart of the Exclusion Zone, this irradiated wasteland is teeming with radioactive horrors waiting to tear you apart.

Like the old S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, this is an immersive <a href="https://whatoplay.com/best/shooting/">shooter</a> that doesn’t hold your hand. The game’s non-linear design encourages you to make your own choices and live by it. There is no proper way to play the game, so you’re left to discover things on your own.

It’s scheduled to release this September 5 with pre-orders ready for anyone excited to step into the Zone.

<h2>Concord</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/concord/" title="Concord PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/concord/" title="Concord PS5 game">PS5</a>| Aug 23, 2024

PlayStation Studios’ next live service game is a hero-shooter akin to Destiny 2 and of course, Overwatch. Developed by Firewalk, Concord is set to be Sony’s next-big thing in the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/best/first-person-shooter/">FPS</a> market.

Taking place in a vibrant sci-fi universe, Concord lets you pick between a zany roster of heroes. You could play as a robot, an alien or a firebending master. They have their own quirks and abilities that can shake up the battlefield. Most of their characters are inspired by Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy characters.

Even with the seeming “resurgence” of hero-shooters, Concord was an odd move. However, the game did spark some interest. The gameplay is fluid and the shooting is fast-paced. The devs even confirmed that we’re getting story content as well. Unlike Overwatch’s lack of story-related missions, Concord takes that opportunity to flesh out their cast of characters in this direction.

We won’t know how many people are gonna love this until we play it this August 23.

<h2>Astro Bot</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/astro-bot/" title="Astro Bot PS5 game">PS5</a> | Sep 6, 2024

The recent <a href="https://whatoplay.com/post/state-of-play-2024-may/">PlayStation State Of Play</a> had some good games to look forward to. Some great third-party titles that look promising and familiar IPs coming back. One of them is Asobo Studios’ favorite robot, Astro.

Astro Bot is the next entry to Sony’s beloved platformer that’s not <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/littlebigplanet-3/">LittleBigPlanet</a>. It sees the return of Astro on a new quest across PlayStation’s universe.

Astro’s adventures take him to fiery volcanoes, snow-capped mountains and tricky jungles. You can even meet familiar characters from Sony’s popular titles as neat easter eggs.

With the power of PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller, you can manipulate the environment with its wide range of gimmicks. You can use anything from Haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and the good ol’ touch support.

You can fly with a DualSense controller or use a PlayStation 5 as a spaceship. As crazy as this all sounds, these are what makes the Astro games great. It’s a playground of all things familiar to PlayStation fans.

<h2>God Of War: Ragnarok</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/god-of-war-ragnarok/" title="God Of War: Ragnarok PC game">PC</a> | Sep 19, 2024

Sony’s recent foray into PC gaming has earned them a ton of money. The PC ports are a welcome change if you ignore the egregious PSN requirement. God Of War: Ragnarok serves as the next PlayStation blockbuster to hit mouse and keyboards.

Kratos and Atreus continue their quest in the Norse realm. Ragnarok marks the end of Sony Santa Monica’s God of War games, culminating in a fantastic redemption arc to one of the greatest characters in gaming.

Ragnarok maintains the solid third-person hack and slash action of the original. Odin, Thor, and Heimdall are no match for the father and son duo.

This PC port will arrive on September 19. It includes all the best goodies, including the roguelike Valhalla DLC. Ultrawide, 4K and other graphical tweaks will also be available for PC players to tinker with.

<h2>Silent Hill 2 Remake</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/silent-hill-2/" title="Silent Hill 2 Remake PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/silent-hill-2/" title="Silent Hill 2 Remake PS5 game">PS5</a> | Oct 08, 2024

Bloober Team’s take on gaming’s most influential <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/horror/">horror</a> title is coming. This marks the return of Konami’s beloved series after a decade.

Silent Hill 2 Remake is a full reimagining of James Sunderland’s adventures in Silent Hill. It comes with graphical upgrades and improved gameplay similar to the modern <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/resident-evil-village/">Resident Evil</a> titles.

This twisted town is packed with untold horrors and psychological dread. You enter derelict hospitals, abandoned houses and fog-covered streets. Not to mention there are demonic nurses and a manifestation of your Psyche wearing a pyramid as a head.

Dubbed as one of the scariest horror games ever made, Bloober Team has a lot to prove to make this a fantastic remake.

<h2>Paper Trail</h2>

For our first relaxing game, we have Paper Trail. An adorable puzzle game about a budding astrophysicist who finds herself on a strange adventure. Here you help Page run away from home through the art of origami. I personally love the puzzles and I just love the feeling of “unfolding” a new chapter with a few careful moves, or even a stroke of luck. If you play on your phones or tablets, you can even play it free with a Netflix account.

<h2>Minami Lane</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/minami-lane/" title="Minami Lane PC game">PC</a> | Feb 28, 2024

Next up is Minami Lane. This is a casual management game where you build a bustling street filled with homes, parks, stores, and whatever your citizens desire. Aside from customizing buildings by their colors and styles, you can even manage each building’s inventory, recipes, and prices. There are new missions to tackle on each run, but you can also take it slow in Sandbox Mode.

<h2>Botany Manor</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/botany-manor/" title="Botany Manor PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/botany-manor/" title="Botany Manor Xbox Series X game">XSX</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/botany-manor/" title="Botany Manor Switch game">Switch</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/botany-manor/" title="Botany Manor Xbox One game">XB1</a> | Apr 9, 2024

Fans of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/strange-horticulture/">Strange Horticulture</a> will probably love our next game: Botany Manor where you play as a retired botanist, researching all sorts of flora to discover how to regrow a long-forgotten plant. While the plants are all fantasy and the playtime is a little short, if you love <a href="https://whatoplay.com/best/puzzles/">puzzles</a> and research, you’ll definitely enjoy your little vacation in this bright, summer house. You can get this game free with your Xbox Game Pass.

<h2>Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/garden-life-a-cozy-simulator/" title="Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/garden-life-a-cozy-simulator/" title="Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator PS5 game">PS5</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/garden-life-a-cozy-simulator/" title="Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator Xbox Series X game">XSX</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/garden-life-a-cozy-simulator/" title="Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator Switch game">Switch</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/garden-life-a-cozy-simulator/" title="Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator PS4 game">PS4</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/garden-life-a-cozy-simulator/" title="Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator Xbox One game">XB1</a> | Feb 22, 2024

If your idea of relaxing is taking care of plants without the puzzles, then Garden Life is probably more your style. Garden Life is all about creating your dream garden, and all the hard work that comes with it. Like clearing out weeds, plotting your garden, choosing your plants, and watering them every day. With enough love, you’ll have your beautiful garden with plenty of flowering plants you can sell as bouquets. For the plant lovers, it also has a plant encyclopedia that shows you all the plants you’ve discovered with instructions for their care.

If you want to really immerse in your garden, I would suggest avoiding the Switch version. The visual and performance downgrades just makes the experience less.

<h2>Palia</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/palia/" title="Palia PC game">PC</a>
&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/palia/" title="Palia Switch game">Switch</a> | Mar 25, 2024

Our next game is Palia. Palia has a big, vibrant 3D world where you can craft, cook, fish, hunt, and catch bugs…on top of taking care of your farmhouse home. Palia also has a <a href="https://whatoplay.com/best/multiplayer/">multiplayer</a>, so you can invite friends to enjoy the scenery with. It’s free to play and it can last as long as you want. The only downside is, you’ll have to pay in cash for their cute outfits.

<h2>Echoes of the Plum Grove</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/echoes-of-the-plum-grove/" title="Echoes of the Plum Grove PC game">PC</a> | Apr 30, 2024

Echoes of the Plum Grove isn’t your usual farming game. As the newest villager in the town of Honeywoood, you’ll still have to socialize, farm, and forage. What makes it different is its <a href="https://whatoplay.com/best/survival/">survival</a> elements. Not only will you have to stock up for winter, you’ll also need to manage hygiene and vaccinations. Luckily the game manages the balancing act, resulting in loads of funny interactions and a fun story to boot.

<h2>Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/ikonei-island-an-earthlock-adventure/" title="Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/ikonei-island-an-earthlock-adventure/" title="Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure PS5 game">PS5</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/ikonei-island-an-earthlock-adventure/" title="Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure Xbox Series X game">XSX</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/ikonei-island-an-earthlock-adventure/" title="Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure Switch game">Switch</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/ikonei-island-an-earthlock-adventure/" title="Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure PS4 game">PS4</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/ikonei-island-an-earthlock-adventure/" title="Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure Xbox One game">Xbox One</a> | 2024

For more cozy games with a survivalist twist, here comes Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure. As four kids who find themselves stranded on a magical island, your mission is to bring the island back to its shining, sunny glory. The story isn’t the game’s strong suit, but it has a large map you can explore, filled with animals to befriend. Every purchased game comes with a free Friends Pass copy that you can give out to friends so you can explore together for the first two hours.

<h2>Time to Morp</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/time-to-morp/" title="Time to Morp PC game">PC</a> | Mar 7, 2024

This next game kind of reminds me of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/slime-rancher/">Slime Rancher</a>. Time to Morp is a <a href="https://whatoplay.com/best/simulation/">simulation</a> game where you colonize adorable alien Morps for resources and build an empire out of it. With the game’s many automations, you can create a well-oiled Morp machine for maximum efficiency. Or go the scenic route by discovering everything about this unknown planet. Your relaxation depends entirely on you.

<h2>Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom</h2>

<a href="Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom" title="Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom iOS game">iOS</a> | Jan 4, 2024

For cozy gamers on the iPhone, you’ll want to check out Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom. You play as Mametchi who--after an apologetic meteor crashes into Tamagotchi planet--runs around town, meeting up with his iconic friends and offering help to whoever needs it. It’s a casual adventure, with simple quests, crafting and decorating, and some cute locations to explore. If you already have an Apple Arcade subscription, I highly recommend this.

<h2>Furnish Master</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/furnish-master/" title="Furnish Master PC game">PC</a> | Feb 20, 2024

Enough about planetary adventures for a moment. Furnish Master lets you enjoy the simple pleasure of decorating a room. It plays a little similarly to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/unpacking/">Unpacking</a>, except instead of just arranging their belongings, you get to rearrange furniture, decide their colors, and interact with the room. There’s a story mode where you can go from small rooms to entire offices and houses. But, you can also have a zen designing session in Sandbox.

<h2>Princess Peach: Showtime!</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/princess-peach-showtime/" title="Princess Peach: Showtime! Switch game">Switch</a> | Mar 22, 2024

Next, we have Princess Peach: Showtime. This is Peach’s first time in the spotlight and boy does she shine. In Showtime, Peach can transform into an array of different characters, from detective to ninja, to baker…each translating to a different kind of gameplay.

It’s mostly aimed at kids so the mechanics are pretty simple. Even the combat is forgiving. It’s about 8 hours of playtime for the main story, and you can just jump om every time you feel like being the star of your own show.

<h2>Sticky Business</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/sticky-business/" title="Sticky Business PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/sticky-business/" title="Sticky Business Switch game">Switch</a> | Jul 17, 2023 (PC), Apr 17, 2024 (Switch)

Who hasn’t dreamt about starting their own sticker business? Sticky Business lets you do just that. Not only can you make your own cute stickers within the game, you also get the satisfaction of packing them for your customers who send you little notes about their lives. You can really let your imagination shine as you ruffle through the game’s library of sticker elements.

With the Plan With Me DLC, you can get a few more notes from customers, as well as new sticker elements and stationery for bullet journaling!

<h2>Fabledom</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/fabledom/" title="Fabledom PC game">PC</a> | May 13, 2024

Our next game is Fabledom, a cozy <a href="https://whatoplay.com/best/city-building/">city building</a> game set in a fantasy-filled medieval age. Essentially, Fabledom is a dating sim where you choose from 6 eligible rulers to woo with your own kingdom’s strength or economy. Although it has some of the micromanaging of the usual City Builders, Fabledom’s magical elements and cute visuals manage to keep it light. It’s out on PC, with console versions coming later this year.

<h2>Pine Hearts</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/pine-hearts/" title="Pine Hearts PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/pine-hearts/" title="Pine Hearts Switch game">Switch</a> | May 23, 2024

Another relaxing game in the same vein is Pine Hearts. The game’s main character is Tyke, a cute little hiker who enjoys doing small favors for his neighbors. The more you explore the world, the more of his childhood memories you can unlock, and let me tell you, this one’s a tearjerker. For all its simplicity, Pine Hearts is a wholesome and heartfelt experience.

<h2>Spirit City: Lofi Sessions</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/spirit-city-lofi-sessions/" title="Spirit City: Lofi Sessions PC game">PC</a> | Apr 8, 2024

Spirit City: Lofi Sessions puts a relaxing spin on your day-to-day productivity. Inspired by the Lofi Hip Hop Beats to Study To, Spirit City gives your own cozy space with lofi hip hop, a cute pet, and the soothing white noise of raindrops and crackling fire. You can personalize this space by customizing your character from head to toe, and decorating your room with all sorts of cute knickknacks. I think the best thing about it is that it actually has productivity tools you can use, like a pomodoro timer that times you for short focus sessions.

<h2>Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley</h2>

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/snufkin-melody-of-moominvalley/" title="Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley PC game">PC</a>&mdash;<a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/snufkin-melody-of-moominvalley/" title="Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley Switch game">Switch</a> | Mar 7, 2024

Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is set in the same world as Tove Jansson’s children’s book series. You play as Snufkin who returns to Moominvalley hoping to reunite with his best friend only to find him missing.

In his search, we get to meet the iconic residents of the valley and solve puzzles with Snufkin’s handy harmonica. With its music and colorful Nordic landscapes, it really does feel like a storybook come to life. It’s already out on Switch and PC. A version for Android and iOS is coming out later this year.

This is your ultimate relaxing games playlist. In this video, we rank the best of all new cozy games released this year.

16 Best Cozy Games of 2024

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/antonblast/">ANTONBLAST</a>, one of the highly anticipated action titles this year, just revealed more details and previews.

Publisher from Joystick Ventures recently dropped a new cinematic gameplay trailer for ANTONBLAST. The video premiered during Steam's <a href="https://whatoplay.com/post/guerillacollective-2024/">Guerrilla Collective</a> on June 7th. And its highlight is no other than the red devil himself, Satan, who is voiced by Gianni Matragrano, one of gaming's most notable voice actors.

<div class="video-responsive">
 <iframe width="1345" height="765" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/jTWLB6r3Blc" title="ANTONBLAST | Guerrilla Collective 2024" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div>

The cinematic preview lasted for a minute and a half. And it contained snippets of never-before-seen, in-game cutscenes featuring the Lord of the Darkness. The trailer started with Satan being fixated on his image as the reddest being in existence.

But things took a turn for the worst for the Lord of Darkness. Upon consulting his Magic Mirror, Satan threw in a fit of rage and jealousy. Apparently, he has a contender for being the 'reddest' - a demolition worker named Dynamite Anton from Boiler City. Then all hell broke loose (pun intended).

In ANTONBLAST, players take control of Anton or his cranked-out coworker, Annie. After finding out Satan stole his Spirit Collection out of envy, they go on an anger-fuelled quest to have it back.

ANTONBLAST is currently being developed by indie studio Summitsphere. Developers first revealed the game in a Kickstarter campaign in 2022. Developers also described it as a successor to their Wario Land-inspired Antonball series.

</figure>

"One of our primary goals with ANTONBLAST has been to make the player feel as if they’re experiencing a living, breathing 2000s cartoon," said Tony Grayson of Summitsphere.

The latest trailer, according to Grayson, also marked a new progress for the game.

"Injecting as much of our personality as possible into every crevice (of the game) has been crucial. (And) our animated in-engine cutscenes are the furthest logical conclusion of that," he said.

ANTONBALL is slated for release on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch this November 12th. A demo version on Steam is still online as of June 8th, 2024.

The Summer Game Fest Live held on June 8 had an array of exciting announcements for new and upcoming games this year.

Cats and crabs have had their turn already. Now, it's time for another quirky gaming experience in which players become rabbits - riding in mecha suits.

Publisher NetEase announced partnering with developer NITRO PLUS to bring <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/rusty-rabbit/">Rusty Rabbit</a>. This action, side-scroller game is set to land on PC and PlayStation 5 this September 24th.

"Rusty Rabbit brings a personal story that delivers plenty of adventure and exploration along with “smash and dash” gameplay action," NetEase described.

The upcoming game is based on an original concept and screenplay from writer Gen Urobuchi of Netflix's Godzilla animated movie trilogy. Urobuchi is also known for writing the hit anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica and PSYCHO-PASS.

In Rusty Rabbit, players will find themselves in a post-apocalyptic world. The human race has left Earth as it entered another ice age. As a result, rabbits dominated the planet. In the game, players take control of Stamp. An eccentric middle-aged rabbit, he survives and lives in the harsh environment with his trusty merch, the Junkster.

However, an unfortunate crash took things to another turn. Stamp soon ended up deep beneath the earth where he stumbled upon a trove of forgotten information, stored in D-TAM terminals. But these were no ordinary archives as Stamp found clues surrounding the fate of his missing daughter.

Driven by a newfound purpose, Stamp then embarks on a quest, deeper into the ruins to unearth the secrets buried within.

Rusty Rabbit is a game that blends exploration and combat. Players guide Stamp, inside the "Junkster", to traverse frozen ruins, collecting parts to upgrade it. Fast-paced "smash and dash" combat lets them overcome enemies while uncovering the mysteries of the world.

In the meantime, NetEase confirmed that Rusty Rabbit will join in the upcoming Summer Game Fest, from June 7 until June 10. There, fans and eager players can learn more about the newest game.

They also announced that Urobuchi and producer Yuichiro Saito will be attending the Anime Expo in Los Angeles this July 7th. Urobuchi and Saito are expected to hold an in-depth discussion about their game.

Pre-orders for Rusty Rabbit has opened on June 5th. In addition, PlayStation 5 players will receive early access starting September 21st, three days before the official release. The game will be available for $29.99
