  • I mention these downsides out of reviewerly duty, and against my inclination to blindly proselytize, because on a holistic level, Snowrunner is a real masterpiece. Its beautifully granular physics systems create not just an atmosphere, but a world in which players can lose themselves for happy hours, hauling logs and steel beams and slabs of concrete hither and yon. It’s therapeutic, it’s deep, it’s engaging, and it’s indisputably unique. Everyone should try it.

  • SnowRunner on PS5 is not a game I can confidently recommend to anybody because it simply isn't a game that everyone will immediately latch onto. The slow pacing, often frustrating traversal and deliberately tanky controls will turn off those looking for an easy-going experience. However, once all of its mechanics click, it offers a deep and rewarding adventure that isn't like anything else on the market. Maybe give SnowRunner a glance if you need something that feels truly unique.

  • SnowRunner is a great non-18-wheeler truck driving simulator. Its steep learning curve takes patience and determination to overcome. It’s clear that this game is aimed at a very specific clientele. If you like a good challenge and overlanding is your kind of thing, Snow Runners is for you.

  • This game is so damned relaxing, but it is not going to be for everyone. It is never fast, and any attempts at doing things quickly will almost certainly end in disaster.

  • An excellent and very welcome port of an already great and addictive game that stands out among other games in the genre.

  • SnowRunner is an interesting truck driving game where the environment is your opponent. As long as you can put up with its audio and visual issues and understand that it's an extremely slow-paced game, the rewards for sticking with it are worthwhile.

  • This trailer loaded with metal bars will get where it’s going eventually. Like progress itself, as sure as torque creates traction, trucks are inevitable. Snowrunner is what happens when an immovable object meets an irresistible force. As long as the irresistible force has a winch, the immovable object will lose.

  • SnowRunner is a beautiful - and oftentimes frustrating - experience, but it’s that journey you undertake, one that you carve out yourself, that makes all the trials and tribulations worth it. The struggles you face will become obstacles to conquer, with each route forming a sort of puzzle to solve. It may take a while to get into, and if you’re having trouble at the start then stick through it, as the long haul is well worth it.

  • Some may want a bit more variety to missions but I found the real joy was driving the loaded trucks across the very well-detailed maps and that the graphics were eye-catching from the start. If you want to load up and face the challenge, than SnowRunner may be just what you are looking for.

  • SnowRunner is both relaxing and laborious, although there is gracious video gameness to it, like the fast travel between garages. Elsewhere, if you make a mistake and tip your vehicle over, you won’t be paralyzed or have to pay millions in compensation for the cargo that was left loose and swept territory under it. To sum it best up, Snowrunner is a lifestyle game. There is no grand call to answer as you drive at your own pace and do what you want.
