Court in the act. It sounds like the stuff of dreams. Fever dreams. The theatre audience is waiting, and you’re in the wings.

For Dead Spies. How does a studio follow an era-defining masterpiece without the original creative forces behind said masterpiece?

A link between eras. You’re not ready for this. No matter how many trailers you’ve watched or how much pre-release footage you’ve pored over, walking out into Hyrule Field for the first time in the Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is a revelatory experience.

The cloudy skies have cleared. While cloud streaming has its benefits, nothing beats having a native version of a game. Guardians of the Galaxy launched on the first Nintendo Switch as a Cloud version, and that experience wasn’t really recommended.

Razor sharp, but a little unrefined. Though the genre has evolved and deepened over time, gacha games have historically not been praised for their depth and complexity, often being criticised for being thinly veiled gambling machines.

Can't let you do that, Blue Bombers! Wild Blue Skies is Star Fox 64 -lite. Gameplay, identity, story: everything is pretty much a license-free version of Star Fox 64.

Plus One. Godzilla fans are eating well. At the time of writing, we are on the brink of a new Toho release, a direct sequel to Goji’s first Oscar-nominated film, Minus One .

You can teach an old dog new tricks. Fans of Metroidvanias are used to the genre’s design conventions: obtain new abilities, and tantalisingly inaccessible areas of the map gradually open up.

Psychological, Captain. Mouthwashing was an instant indie darling when it launched on PC in 2024. It’s the kind of game that inspires more discussion and analysis than its relatively short runtime, so it feels long overdue to finally be able to play it on console.

Medium rare. Are you a fan of that genre ? You know, the one that hasn’t quite settled on its name yet: mystery games… discovery games…
