  • Could I have done that playing any other fitness game with the same intensity, or just by going outside and jogging every day? Probably. I know I could lose more weight if I paid out $50 a month for a gym membership, but the last thing I want to do after I get home from work is hit up a local 24-Hour Fitness. My life just isn't equipped to handle that right now. Fitness Boxing is a better fit for me and while I may not get the body of my dreams using it, anything is better than what I'm working with now.

  • Fitness Boxing just suffers from feeling inaccurate, even more so when punches and dodges aren’t correctly registered by the Joy-Cons. It is safe to say though, Fitness Boxing is perfect for those who want to lead a healthy and active lifestyle, but if you’re looking for some casual punching fun, stick to Arms.

  • All that said, I won’t be able to tell you how I really feel about Fitness Boxing for a few months yet. I have a family vacation approaching at the end of March, and it’d be great if my sessions with the game are able to get me in better shape for it. I think it will. I enjoy the exercises more than anything in the Wii Fits, and that means I’m more likely to stick with it.

  • Fitness Boxing is a good way to get gamers off their couches and on their feet and active. I, for one, am in dire need of a reason to get off my butt and moving, and this game gives me a great reason to do so. The exercises disguised as play keep things fun and light, and the low impact workouts are good for players of any size, shape, or age.

  • Fitness Boxing is a fine selection of exercises. With a ton of courses to get through, you will be hard pressed to not find a skill level that suits you. As you go along, it is easy to take the next numbered version in a series and deal with the increased difficulty. The controls aren't the most accurate, but easily a cut above Just Dance.

  • It’s no substitute for hard hours at the gym, but there’s certainly potential to tone up those arms and shed a few of the mince pies you put away while watching Groundhog Day over the holidays. It would be a mistake to buy this thinking you’re getting a game or some magical antidote to your spare tyre. However, it kept us coming back and if you’re after a reason to justify cancelling that direct debit to Gold’s, this is as good as anything you’ll find on a console.
