Exciting news for fans and players of the indie, hero-defense TimeMelters.
The multi-awarded game is leaving Early Access soon. Plans to expand it to other platforms are also underway.
Canadian studio AutoExec Games confirmed they will roll out TimeMelters 1.0 this February 28 on PC devices. The game will also make its way to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X soon. The console versions are expected to come out this year, developers added.
"We can’t wait for players to enjoy TimeMelters to the fullest with its Version 1.0 launch later this month, and with the game’s console release later this year," said Vincent Blanchard, CEO at AutoExec Games.
In the meantime, developers promised to deliver brand-new content and modes for TimeMelters' full version. This included additional missions and the option to play the game solo or in multiplayer.
According to the studio's press release, TimeMelters 1.0 will support co-op campaigns. Players can team up with others in real time for free with the Friend Pass.
They also released a new trailer that showed the latest progress they made for the game. In the video, an overhauled user interface (UI) can be seen. Previews of the new modes can also be seen in the latest teaser.
TimeMelters first launched via Early Access in 2022. Created by a three-man indie studio, players become a time-warping witch named Teagan who can travel through time and undo the past. After a close encounter with death, Teagan must rewind the clock and fight alongside her past self to prevent doomsday from happening.
Upon its release, the game won several awards such as the Grand Winner at the Ubisoft Indie Contest 2022, Gold Winner of Best Indie Game at NYX 2023, and winner of the Technological Innovation Award at MIGS 2023. / ###
