The Wolf Among Us Remastered is out now worldwide on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox One for $24.99 in the US, Telltale and publisher PM Studios announced on October 29.
On PC it's available on Steam, including Steam Deck, and on the Epic Games Store. The Xbox One version also plays on Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility. Switch versions will follow later, with no date given. When Telltale revealed the remaster in June, it listed Switch and Switch 2 for a Holiday 2026 launch alongside the other platforms. Physical editions, which were also due this holiday, are now planned for early 2027.
Your choices carry into The Wolf Among Us 2
Telltale and PM Studios confirmed for the first time that major choices made in the remaster will carry into The Wolf Among Us 2. To bring those choices over, players have to be signed in to a Telltale Account while they play Remastered. Anyone who goes straight to the sequel can set their past choices when they start it.
What's in the remaster
The remaster includes all five episodes of the 2013 original, The Wolf Among Us: Faith, Smoke and Mirrors, A Crooked Mile, In Sheep's Clothing and Cry Wolf. It also adds five playable Deleted Scenes, cut from the original episodes and now available as special features.
An optional Noir Mode plays the whole game in black and white. There's also a gallery with more than 100 pieces of artwork and over an hour of developer interviews.
Telltale co-developed the remaster with Trick Studios. According to the release, the team updated the environments, character models, lighting, animation and audio.
The Wolf Among Us is based on DC's Fables comics. Players take the role of Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, a hidden community of fairy-tale characters in 1980s New York, as he investigates a murder. The original game was nominated for BAFTA and D.I.C.E. awards.
Launch discounts
A 20% launch discount runs from October 29 to November 12, 2026. During the same window, players who own the original game digitally can save up to 50%, but only on the same platform and account. On PlayStation, the 20% discount is limited to PlayStation Plus members. The two offers can't be combined.
When is The Wolf Among Us 2 coming out?
The Wolf Among Us 2 was first announced in 2017, and its development went through a studio closure and engine changes, according to TechRadar. Telltale's June 2026 announcement set a 2027 launch for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and Switch 2. It still has no specific date.
