The wait is over for mobile game players and fans of the hit occult puzzle Strange Horticulture. The quirky indie game from Bad Viking finally arrived on iOS and Android on March 26.

Creators from Bad Viking and publishers PID Games and Iceberg Interactive also invited gamers to try out the mobile version of the critically acclaimed game. Strange Horticulture is currently priced at $4.99, both on the App Store and Play Store.

For the new mobile edition, developers from Bad Viking introduced new features specifically made for mobile gaming. These included having accessibility options, performance settings, and a new layout.

"We worked hard to provide the best experience possible for the player!" they added.

Critics have also begun weighing on Strange Horticulture's mobile version. Some of them praised developers for keeping the visuals and gameplay mechanics at par with its PC edition.

However, others pointed out that its mobile interface needed improvements.

In particular, the smaller-than-usual texts 'may put off players', said Iwan Morris of PocketGamer.

"Your tolerance for this stuff is of course going to depend on the platform you’re playing on," he said.

"There are many obvious improvements made to enhance the experience on mobile, and it’s far from unusable, but if you’re not a fan of dense visual information then Strange Horticulture may put you off," he explained in his review.

Strange Horticulture first came out on PC in 2022. The game takes players to a quaint plant shop in a mysterious, fictional town called Undermere. Their task is to identify and acquire a diverse collection of plants. Each has its unique properties and effects.

A comprehensive identification guide will help players study visual clues and descriptions to match plants with their names. All of this knowledge is then put to the test as players fulfill customer requests.

Strange Horticulture was also recently added to PS5 and PS4. / ###
