While a lot of people are excited for the release of Spider-Man: Miles Morales this week, Insomniac will also be releasing the remastered edition of their first Spider-Man game alongside it. When it was originally announced, it was said that players won’t have the option to port over their saved files from the original game, which lead to a lot of complaints online. The great thing is, it looks like Insomniac had heard the fans and is backtracking on their initial statement.

As announced on Twitter, players will now be able to port over their save files to Spider-Man Remastered. The announcement reads:

We have heard you - in an upcoming update for #SpiderManPS4, we will add the ability to export your save to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. This update will also add the three new suits from Remastered to the PS4 game. We expect to bring you this update around Thanksgiving.

Here’s also a look at the three upcoming suits coming to the PS4 edition from the remastered version:

It certainly is a relief to hear that you won’t have to play through the entire game again if you get the remastered edition. While the gameplay for Spider-Man may be fine, one complaint that it does receive constantly is the repetitive nature of the missions. Personally, I wouldn’t want to scour maps again just collecting backpacks and unlocking towers.
