Fantastic news for fans of the hit motorcycle racing game RIDE.
RIDE will be making a historic race this year as it sets to release its fifth installment, which will welcome more players than ever before. Milestone has announced that RIDE 5 will be released on August 24, 2023. This time, the upcoming game will be playable not only on PCs but also on next-generation consoles.
As the first New Gen only Milestone title, it will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam/Epic starting August 24,
Milestone wrote in a press release. With the support of modern technology, the Milan-based game studio has vowed to bring in “a new, stunning level of realism and lifelike experiences.” [So we can] deliver the most authentic and exciting riding simulation ever,
they added.
Milestone has also revealed more new additions for Ride 5 as part of their promise to introduce a “more immersive” gameplay. They confirmed that they will be reintroducing the Split-Screen feature in the game.
Finally, strongly requested by the community, for the first time since RIDE 2 the Split-screen is back to let players challenge their friends, side by side on the couch,
Milestone said. Aside from the split-screen's comeback, developers will also roll out a Dynamic Weather System in order to generate a realistic weather change during changes.
They have also made some upgrades to the game's visuals and motorbike mechanics. Ride 5 will have 3D volumetric clouds in its Sky System, a departure from the 2D art made in the previous titles.
In terms of gameplay options, Ride 5 will have a Career Mode. The Career Mode will feature a narrator, and at least 10 rivals whom the players will be competing with.
The first installment of RIDE came out in 2015. / ###
