Level Zero, the newest survival horror title for indie game publisher tinyBuild, will arrive on PC, PS5, Series X, PS4, and Xbox One. The Washington-based independent publisher has recently unveiled more details about Level Zero. They released a new trailer on YouTube on November 2, giving players a glimpse of the game's development progress.
The three-minute video was also the most extensive sneak peek at Level Zero. It provides a preview of what players can expect when they become scientists or the antagonistic aliens in the game. tinyBuild has also opened sign-ups for the survival horror game's Closed Beta version.
Level Zero is being developed by DogHowl Games, an independent game development company from Cyprus. Level Zero is their first project.
Developers said they would provide more updates on the game's beta events this November.
Level Zero's premise is simple. TinyBuild billed it as a deadly cat-and-mouse game between a team of scientists and alien monsters. On the planet Turion, both groups will be struggling for survival. Four players will play as human scientists in this PvP game, while a two-player squad will hunt them down as monsters.
As scientists, players need to escape from the rundown space station in Turion. In doing so, their task is to fix the base's power system.
They must work together to find tools and other resources in the destroyed facility. Most importantly, they should get flares, glow sticks, and other light sources to fend off and kill incoming alien monsters.
These deadly creatures lurk in the shadows and thrive in the darkness. They can respawn endlessly, track and disarm human prey, and destroy anything that gets in their way. Their only weakness is the light, as a single beam turns them into ashes instantly.
In 2021, tinyBuild announced that they had teamed up with DogHowl Games to create Level Hero. tinyBuild is also the publisher behind the popular Hello Neighbor franchise, also a survival horror game.
