Similar to its predecessor, the sequel introduces players to a single-player campaign game. In it, they are transported across three distinct eras: Victorian, Noir, and Sci-Fi. The game contains 33 levels, each brimming with hidden objects waiting to be unearthed.

Players can also expect cameos from legendary characters.

For example, in the Victorian era, they could join forces with the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson to solve cases. Meanwhile, in 1940s America, they take on the role of Detective Jane Spade, tasked with cracking a missing corgi case in the classic Noir setting.

Their adventure also whisks them into the heyday of space and the Sci-Fi era. There, they must guide a young astronaut named Anna on her first interstellar mission.

For Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery, developers added new features. This included the ability for players to create their own worlds.
