Samurai JRPG Fate/Samurai Remnant just unleashed its first downloadable content (DLC).
On February 9, KOEI TECMO America and developer Omega Force unrolled Keian Command Championship! The first content update for Fate/Samurai Remnant can be played on PC, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
Fate/Samurai Remnant contained a new story, characters, and more action-packed battles, KOEI TECMO said. Creators of the popular action-adventure game first teased fans about the content update in a trailer video last January.
Keian Command Championship! throws players into a mysterious arena orchestrated by the mysterious Babyloni-ya boss. There, they must survive the no-holds-barred tournament Keian Command Championship. The game pits Masters and Servants against legendary fighters from the Fate universe.
The expansion also introduced new playable characters such as the Rider. They can also take control of existing ones like the iconic duo Iori and Saber.
"Between matches, players will discover new cutscenes and learn more about the characters," KOEI TECMO said.
"And if they manage to win the tournament, players will unlock an ending sequence unique to each team," they added. But the roster does not stop there.
Keian Command Championship! gave players the chance to recruit two legendary characters. This included a new servant, divine spirit Ibuki-Douji. They also had the chance to recruit the Babyloni-ya boss himself, publishers added. All they had to do was fulfill several in-game challenges.
Keian Command Championship! is free for players who have the season pass for Fate/Samurai Remnant.
Fate/Samurai Remnant was first released in September 2023. It can be accessed on PC, PS5, PS4, and Switch devices. A demo version of the base game is still available for interested players. / ###
