Sid Meier’s Civilization VI had launched back in 2016 and has since been lauded as another great update for the Civilization franchise. Though the main game is available for all consoles, Aspyr has announced that they have brought Civ VI to Android.

Here’s the launch trailer:

Aspyr’s vice president in publishing Elizabeth Howard had this to say about the launch:

“For those who love strategy games, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is a die-hard, must-play classic that until now, wasn’t an option for Android users… That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that this epic world is now available for Android gamers to enjoy for the first time ever.”

You can actually try out the game for free at first before you decide to purchase the full package. Anyone who wants to get Civilization VI for Android can download the game and have their first 60 turns free, then they can opt to purchase the full game for $19.99.

It’s worth noting that the expansions for the game are also available to purchase for the Android version. Civ VI Rise and Fall will cost $29.9 with Gathering Storm costing $39.99. You can also purchase Scenario and Civilization packs for prices ranging from $4.99–$8.99.

Originally created by legendary game designer Sid Meier, Civilization is a turn-based strategy game where you attempt to build an empire to stand the test of time. The latest entry in the franchise, Civilization VI, offers new ways to engage with your world: cities now physically expand across the map; your actions help boost technology and civics research; and competing leaders pursue their own agendas based on their historical traits as you race and achieve victory.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is now available for Android as well as PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
