Bleach: Brave Souls, the video game based on the popular Shonen manga series, has reached a new milestone, its developers said. KLab Inc. announced that Bleach: Brave Souls hit the 70-million mark in downloads worldwide on October 31. The figures include downloads and re-downloads from PC, Android, iOS, and PlayStation 4.
The Japanese game developer's announcement came months after they released Bleach: Brave Souls on PlayStation 4 last March. At that time, the 3D action game had already registered at least 60 million downloads.
To mark its new milestone, developers from KLab Games have launched new campaigns and other in-game activities. This includes a tie-in for the TV animation series Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.
KLab has confirmed that a familiar face will appear in the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War campaign. Yhwach Awakened will appear as a boss in the high-difficulty level of the game's Epic Raid mode, developers said. The game made its debut on October 11, 2022.
On the other hand, developers also rolled out more in-game events for their 70 Million Download Celebration campaigns.
As a huge thank-you to the community for supporting the game, the celebration will include a login bonus, special orders, packs, and more to enjoy,
said KLab.
The month-long activities began on October 31 and will end on November 30. Players will have the chance to get free spirit orbs, soul tickets, and battle-ready summon tickets.
In addition, KLabs also confirmed that gamers can now play with the technical versions of Mayuri Kurotsuchi, Kisuke Urahara, and Akon. The new character skins are part of Squad 12 Generations Summons, which went live on October 31.
Bleach: Brave Souls was first released in Japan for Android and iOS phones in 2015. The English-language version came out a year later.
Fans and critics praised the game, especially for its "hack-n-slash with bits of RPG elements."
