<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/sker-ritual/">Sker Ritual</a>, the spin-off to the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/horror/">horror</a> title <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/maid-of-sker/">Maid of Sker</a>, will leave Early Access next month.

Developers from Wales Interactive confirmed they will release the full version of Sker Ritual this April 18. On top of it, they will also launch the round-based <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/survival/">survival</a> horror to consoles like <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/maid-of-sker/">PlayStation 5</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/maid-of-sker/">Xbox Series X/S</a>.

Sker Ritual debuted on PC in 2022 and spent approximately a year and a half in Early Access. The game is still set in the Sker Island universe. The year is 1914. Monsters called the Quiet Ones have returned to haunt the island.

Either through solo or a <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/online-coop/">co-op</a> of up to four members, players must fight and survive through them while exploring the mysteries of Sker Island.

"Shoot through hordes of enemies, collect Celtic God powers, upgrade an arsenal of steampunk weapons, and attempt to defeat the evil on Sker Island," the game's description read.

Players will face waves of these bloodthirsty enemies, each with unique tactics and abilities. Aside from the ordinary Quiet Ones, they will also face new 'Elite' Quiet Ones. These foes have enhanced supernatural powers that will test players in their ability to shift strategy and weaponry.

The game also challenges players in mastering a diverse arsenal of upgradable steampunk weapons. With these, they can dispatch foes with firepower and utilize special "Miracles" dropped by fallen enemies to gain a tactical edge.

On the other hand, developers promised to introduce new content for the 1.0 update of Sker Ritual. This included new objectives, weapons, and story content, Wales Interactive said.

In addition, they also teased players, particularly fans of Maid of Sker, of an expanded story lore. This will allow them to learn about Sker Island's troubled past and the origins of the Quiet Ones.

In the meantime, pre-orders are now open for Sker Ritual's Xbox and <a href="https://store.playstation.com/en-tr/product/EP4459-PPSA14196_00-SKERRITUALSIEE02">PlayStation</a> editions. / ###

The game will make its way to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/paper-trail/">PC</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/paper-trail/">PlayStation</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/paper-trail/">Xbox</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ios/paper-trail/">iOS</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/paper-trail/">Android</a> via Netflix Games, according to the indie developer. They also confirmed that they will release a <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/paper-trail/">Switch version</a> during its launching day.

With weeks left before its debut, the Hoffman brothers of Newfangled Games also revealed some of the new content and items they added into the game.

"And since the demo we've added loads and loads of really cool things that we never thought we'd be able to a few years ago," they wrote on Steam.

Upon its release, players can expect bespoke illustrations, a quirky cast, and new environments. Developers also confirmed they can pet the cat in Paper Trail.

"We've been able to make something that we're all very proud of here," the Hoffman brothers added.
Meanwhile, Newfangled Games has dropped a new trailer about the Paper Trail.

Aside from the game's iconic, hand-drawn, paper-based world, the trailer introduced players to the lore behind it. The video showed the protagonist Paige navigating between school and family. The latest trailer also confirmed that Paige can interact with several objects surrounding her. Paper Trail has been generating buzz since its initial reveal at Gamescom 2022.

Paper Trail Set for May 2024 Launching

Players looking forward to experiencing <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/crown-wars-the-black-prince/">Crown Wars: The Black Prince</a>, the latest title from NACON, will have to wait a bit longer.

NACON and developer Artefacts Studio recently announced that they will be postponing the launching of their <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/turn-based-strategy/">turn-based strategy</a> Crown Wars: The Black Prince. Instead of this March 14th, the medieval RPG's debut was pushed back to a later date. Creators are now planning to release the game on May 23rd, 2024.

The delay, according to a press statement both from NACON and Artefacts Studio, will allow the team more time to work on the game.

They revealed they gained more insights on the current state of Crown Wars: The Black Prince after conducting recent beta and demo events via PC. In turn, they decided to reschedule its launch.

"This additional development time will be used to fine-tune several elements of the game," they wrote.

This will also allow developers to incorporate 'some improvements that players requested', to provide an optimal gameplay upon release, the creators added.

In the meantime, NACON published another trailer for Crown Wars: The Black Prince. It is titled <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atX93hQ7xyM">Crown Wars: The Black Prince - Official Domain Overview Trailer</a>." The one-minute video explained how the domain, the stronghold where players prepare for missions, works.

<div class="video-responsive">

</div>

The gameplay preview opened with players learning that they inherited a domain on the brink of collapse. As the last heir of a fallen bloodline, it is up to the players to rebuild their family's influence and legacy. To do so, they need to create a base - the domain - for their strategies and plans.

The new trailer also offered glimpses of the game's core combat mechanics. Players can position their troops, and take advantage of the terrain around them. Unit types like Crusaders, Duelists, and Beast Masters are shown. Their strengths and weaknesses were also revealed.

Crown Wars: The Black Prince is a turn-based tactics and strategy game, with elements of dark fantasy. Set in a 'dystopian mediaeval period' during the 100-Years War. There, players find themselves in the middle of bloody conflicts among royal families.

Crown Wars: The Black Prince will be available for <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/crown-wars-the-black-prince/">Xbox Series X/S</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/crown-wars-the-black-prince/">PlayStation 5</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/crown-wars-the-black-prince/">PC</a>. / ###

Omeda has also provided more details about the upcoming Open Beta test. These included the much-anticipated crossplay feature. This means players from all platforms can join and do battles together.

Held at La Cigale, the awarding, which celebrates the 'best of the best' in France's video gaming industry, also unveiled new surprises. These included works in store for the iconic dance game <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/just-dance-2024-edition/">Just Dance</a>.

Nineteen prestigious Pégases were awarded across various categories during the awarding night held at La Cigale on March 8.

Launched in 2023, the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/adventure/">highly-rated adventure</a> game takes players to a world inspired by the myth of Babel. They become travelers and embark on a quest to reunite the divided Peoples of the Tower.

Chants of Sennaar Wins Big, Period Duet Dance for Just Dance 2024

Here are the Winners of the 5th Pégases Ceremony

Next-gen console owners, rejoice! The <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/bang-on-balls-chronicles/">PS5</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/bang-on-balls-chronicles/">Xbox Series X</a> version of the hit 3D <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/platformer/">platformer</a> <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/bang-on-balls-chronicles/">Bang-On Balls: Chronicles</a> is now online.

Publisher Untold Tales confirmed rolling out Bang-On Balls: Chronicles for PlayStation and Xbox's next-gen devices last March 5. The ported version of the game also received significant upgrades to fit PS5 and Xbox Series X requirements. These included upgrading its visuals to 4k resolution.

Players can also expect smoother gameplay with an enhanced frame rate of 60 frames per second, developers from Exit Plan Games said.

“This new-gen upgrade allows for the smoothest, shiniest experience yet, so if you’ve not played Bang-On Balls: Chronicles before, now would be a great time to hop in!” said Damien Monnier, Co-Founder and Design Director at Exit Plan.

PS4 and Xbox One users who owned the game can get the upgrade for free, publishers added.

Bang-On Balls: Chronicles is Exit Plan's take on the countryball art, presented in 3D platforming style. The game is also inspired by popular arcade games in the 1990s, according to its creators. In it, players control the protagonist BOB as he embarks on an epic and chaotic quest.

The 'quirky' game also features worlds inspired by world history. From the Vikings to feudal Japan, players can bounce and destroy enemies between multiple (slightly inaccurate) historically themed open worlds.

It can support <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/single-player/">single-player</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/multiplayer/">multiplayer</a> modes. In <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/coop/">co-op</a>, players have the option to do a split-screen for two players and online for a team of four players.

Bang-On Balls: Chronicles was first launched last October 2023. It released on <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/bang-on-balls-chronicles/">PC</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/bang-on-balls-chronicles/">Switch</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/bang-on-balls-chronicles/">Xbox One</a>, and <a href="">PS4</a>. It quickly became a commercial and critical success.

It received its highest playscore on PC with 9.1. / ###

Publisher Devolver Digital recently dropped a brand new trailer for <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/pepper-grinder/">Pepper Grinder</a>. "In a new gameplay video released today Pepper shows that she’s a seasoned pro when it comes to drill-spinning," Devolver said.

Running for one minute and 20 seconds, the trailer follows the protagonist Pepper utilizing her drill named the Grinder. From burrowing through the earth to helping her solve <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/best/puzzle/">puzzles</a>. There are also moments when Pepper uses the Grinder to access hidden pathways and launch herself mid-air.

Additionally, the video showed combat sequences. Pepper can be seen transforming the Grinder into a weapon that can pulverize enemies in her path.

While drilling takes center stage, the trailer also showed more of Pepper Grinder's traditional platforming and side-scrolling elements.

On the other hand, the video also dropped more hints about more content players can expect during its full launch. It teased the presence of a quirky cast of characters whom they will encounter on their treasure-hunting journey.

In addition, creators also hinted at the presence of boss battles, which in turn could add another layer of excitement to the mix.

Pepper Grinder is being developed by <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/best/indie/">indie</a> developer Ahr Ech. It is set to launch on March 28th, 2024 for <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/pepper-grinder/">PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/pepper-grinder/">Nintendo Switch</a>.

Meanwhile, the demo version of Pepper Grinder remained online on <a href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/2076580/Pepper_Grinder/">Steam</a> as of March 7.

More Details for Pepper Grinder Revealed

The wait is almost over for <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/the-alters/">The Alters</a>, the newest title from the team behind <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/this-war-of-mine/">This War of Mine</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/frostpunk-console-edition/">Frostpunk</a>.

The sci-fi <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/best/survival/">survival</a> game will make its way to Xbox consoles this year. On top of that, developer 11 bit Studios, for the first time, unveiled its gameplay trailer.

During the recent <a href="https://whatoplay.com/post/xbox-partner-preview-2024-2/">Xbox Partner Preview</a> live stream, 11 bit Studios revealed the release window for The Alters. They confirmed the game's arrival on <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-alters/">PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/the-alters/">Xbox Series X|S</a> within this year. In addition, players can access it through PC and Xbox Game Pass service on its launch day. This means subscribers can experience the game at no additional cost.

The Alters is an upcoming game that blends multiple elements. These included survival, exploration, and psychological <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/best/horror/">horror</a> elements. Players become Jan, a lone space miner stranded on a harsh and unforgiving planet. His survival depends on his ability to create 'alters', short for alternate versions of himself.

A preview of how players can generate alters for Jan was also part of the game's latest trailer. The video also confirmed how player choice for one alter can influence others.

<div class="video-responsive">
 <iframe width="1621" height="920" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wLXizxVIu6k" title="The Alters | Gameplay Reveal Trailer" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div>

The gameplay footage also highlighted the crucial role of every alter. Players will need to strategically use these alters and tap their unique abilities to overcome challenges.

In the video, one hulking alter can be seen excelling in physically laborious tasks to gather resources like mining. Meanwhile, other alters are better suited for navigating dangerous environments.

The new trailer for The Alters also emphasized the psychological and moral complexities of Jan's situation. Moral and ethical dilemmas await players when they control and create alters. Creators even hinted at potential conflict and emotional turmoil as Jan grapples with the consequences of his choices.

In the meantime, developers from 11 bit Studios are expected to release more information about The Alters in the coming months. /###

The Early Unlock allows players exclusive, pre-debut access to the game. It is only available to those who pre-purchased the game's Supreme or Year 1 editions.

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/spintires-mudrunner/">MudRunner</a> is the critically-acclaimed, off-road <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/simulation/">simulation</a> that first came out in 2017. It is also developed by Saber Interactive, with Focus Entertainment as its publisher.

Expeditions is the third installment in the series. And its creators from Focus and Saber Interactive promised to offer 'more than just mud.'

Fans can expect an expanded gameplay in the latest MudRunner title. The game blends exploration, base management, narrative, and sci-fi elements. In it, players take on the role of a leader. Their task then is to guide a team of specialists across vast open worlds, including Little Colorado, Arizon, and Europe's Carpathian Mountains.

Aside from MudRunner's signature, all-terrain mechanics, Expeditions will include a narrative-driven lore. This means players get to choose which decisions and roads to take. In turn, these can impact its storyline, and even unlock new opportunities.

Additionally, the newest MudRunner game will focus more on exploration than transporting goods. Doing so, players can expect large, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/open-world/">open-world</a> environments.

The Standard Edition of Expeditions: A MudRunner Game will carry a price tag of €39.99.

Later in the year, Saber Interactive is also set to release a unique narrative racing game, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/heading-out--a-narrative-road-movie-racing-game/">Heading Out.</a>
