V Rising, the popular RPG game where players become vampires, will leave Early Access soon. Swedish game developer Stunlock Studios announced that the full version of V Rising will launch this May 8.

They also dropped a new trailer, giving fans and players a sneak peek into the game's 1.0 edition.

However, players and fans of V Rising are advised to start saving their games. To accommodate 'server reorganization' for the 1.0 launch, the game will go offline temporarily. According to Stunlock Studios, the downtime will begin on May 6th until May 8th, the release date of the full version.

"The goal of official servers is to provide a stable V Rising experience," developers said. "But ultimately we expect players to move on to private servers with more tailored gameplay after they’ve got their Vampire legs under them," they added.

V Rising's 1.0 edition will contain new content as well as quality-of-life improvements.

Upon its release, players can access all of its seven regions, and meet a total of 57 bosses. Based on its newest trailer, creators will introduce a new area for exploration called the Ruins of Mortium.

Described as a sprawling winter wonderland, it was once a vibrant vampire civilization. Now, Mortium is haunted by the remnants of Dracula's fanatical followers. Players can explore and even face the ultimate boss - no other than Dracula himself.

Aside from Dracula, developers also unveiled another boss - the iconic vampire hunter Simon Belmont.

In the meantime, V Rising's 1.0 edition has added new features and improvements to the game. These included a native gamepad support and a 'more streamlined storage system.'

V Rising first came out via Early Access in 2022. The game then became a critical and commercial success, selling over 4 million copies.

The game will also have an upcoming PlayStation 5 version. The release date remains to be announced.

Publisher Daedalic Entertainment teamed up with indie studio Tiny Roar for the release of Into the Emberlands. The upcoming singleplayer game will launch via Early Access on Steam this summer.

Into the Emberlands will be among many of Daedalic Entertainment's top PC single-player games like Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun and the Deponia series.

Described as a charming exploration game with roguelite features, Into the Emberlands takes players to the titular world of the Emberlands. Once upon a time, the Emberlands served as a peaceful haven for the Knacks. But a mysterious fog, called the Miasma, suddenly arrived, enveloping the Emberlands. As a result, the Knacks mysteriously disappeared.

The game's main storyline involves one quest. That is, to find and rescue the missing Knacks. Players then step into the role of a Lightbearer. Wielding a lantern fueled by radiant Ember, they must take on an adventure to save the lost Knacks.

Tiny Roar, the German studio developing the game, said Into the Emberlands offers a 'captivating blend of exploration and rescue missions.'

The game features procedurally-generated biomes, each with its own set of challenges and secrets to uncover. Its main gameplay also contains a blend of exploration and roguelite mechanics.

In addition, Into the Emberlands has city-building elements. As players rescue the lost Knacks, they can help them rebuild their village.

They can help the Knacks rebuild their homes and shops, ultimately transforming it into a thriving community. Each addition to the village not only unlocks new possibilities. But also brings players closer to unraveling the mysteries of the Miasma.

Into the Emberlands: Charming Exploration Game Set for Summer Release

Keylocker, an upcoming JRPG that blends turn-based combat and rhythm, is set to launch soon.

This is after its creators finally revealed the game's release window during the recent ID@Xbox Digital Showcase. Publisher Serenity Forge and Moonana Games announced they will release Keylocker this Summer.

In addition, developers from Moonana Games said they will be porting the title to Xbox consoles. The upcoming Xbox edition will also come out simultaneously with its PC launch.

"We got to announce this news today at an ID@Xbox event which is pretty big for us, this event is quite eventful, after all," they wrote on the game's official Steam page.

Creators described Keylocker as a 'groundbreaking turn-based rhythm JRPG'. Illustrated in a pixel-art style, it transports players to a cyberpunk world.

The game takes place in a dystopian metropolis called Saturn. There, players take on the shoes of the protagonist named BOBO. In Saturn, music has been suppressed by a tyrannical regime. A fearless singer and songwriter, BOBO then takes on a quest to bring music back to life in Saturn.

"With every piece in place, she's out to break some laws, and discover the truth behind the essence of music, the Keylocker," developers said.

The core gameplay of Keylocker involved real-time rhythm mechanics and turn-based combat. This means players must strategically execute moves in a rhythm game style. As BOBO, they need to harness the power of music to defeat foes.

Keylocker also drew inspiration from legendary JRPGS such as the Mario & Luigi RPG series and Chrono Trigger. The game will allow players to explore Saturn's sprawling cities, forge alliances, uncover secrets, and challenge the status quo.

Meanwhile, Moonana Games said they are putting the finishing touches on the game.
"We’ll have more about the game’s launch to share in the near future," they said. / ###

Here is something interesting for parents who want their children to experience the fun of video games.

Two indie studios have joined forces for the development of Mouse & Crane. Developers from Those Eyes and Tobo disclosed their partnership for the game's creation. Both specializing in children's games, they planned to release the game for Nintendo Switch consoles this June.

The upcoming Switch game aims not only to help guide young kids in the world of gaming. But it is also about raising environmental awareness

Mouse & Crane takes players on an imaginative adventure with a trio of best friends. It tells the story of the friendship between Mouse, Crane, and Electryne. Together, they tackle challenges and solve puzzles. Children will also be using everyday tools like screwdrivers and glue guns.

The creators said they wanted to come up with a game that engages children at a young age. Mouse & Crane intends to promote collaboration between them and their parents. And even siblings, they added.

"We understand that video games are a mainstay in many households... Moms and dads can hand their Switch to their child, or play with them, and feel good about it.”," says Trine Laier of Those Eyes.

Judith Beauregard, co-CEO and producer at Tobo, also said the game focuses on young children's skill levels. These levels, in turn, will encourage cooperation and build problem-solving confidence.

"Additionally, Mouse & Crane doesn't require reading," Beauregard added.

Developers will be utilizing spoken dialogue and icons in the Switch puzzle game. These will help make the game enjoyable also for players still developing their literacy skills, she said.

Mouse & Crane also aligns itself with advocacies aimed at promoting environmental awareness. The game does this by encouraging players to consider the potential of upcycling and recycling in a playful and engaging way.

On the other hand, developers assured parents Mouse & Crane will comply with child safety regulations. These included the EU General Data Protection Regulation for Children. The game will also observe guidelines under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. / ###
