- Review: Offering comedic warfare whether you like to play locally or online, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition is a hell of a lot of fun.
Richard Seagrave · Jul 04, 2025 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - I’m happy to have Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition in my collection of titles. Like so many other Digital Eclipse releases, it’s a matter of the history of it all, not necessarily the modern interpretation. I appreciate the dedication and the commitment to the series, but I do wish that we would see other iterations of the Armageddon release (specifically the N64 port). Still, it’s the best console version now on modern consoles, and the history, the interviews and the spectacle of the game itself makes this a worthy addition to all collector’s libraries. Though I do recommend a physical edition, because having it on the shelves is half the fun.
Oliver Shellding · Nov 13, 2024 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition is for fans old and new. Older fans will appreciate a re-release of the series high point, along with some other cool bits, and the newer fans can get a taste of a multiplayer classic.
Richard Dobson · Oct 19, 2024 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - The long and short of it is that Worms Armageddon is a classic, both within the Worms series and multiplayer gaming in general. While today it might seem a little barebones in terms of content, and the online multiplayer features are far too limited for a game that relies entirely on the multiplayer experience, as far as the playability goes it’s still off the charts, and one of the best games you can treat yourself to.
Matt · Sep 28, 2024 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition is a warts-and-all revival of a game that, 25 years later, still has it where it counts, and there aren't too many titles that can make that claim.
Stephen Tailby · Sep 26, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition is another slam dunk for Digital Eclipse and its ongoing mission of game preservation and historical documentation. The team hasn't gone mad with any new additions or tweaks to the core experience, but when the original game remains such a bonafide classic more than 20 years after its release, it really doesn't need much tinkering with. The added bonus of the Game Boy Color version alongside a wealth of interesting interviews and archive footage make this release a perfect entry point for newcomers as well as a warm, nostalgic cuddle for veterans.
Ollie Reynolds · Sep 26, 2024 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Dla nowicjusza Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition będzie brutalne, zwłaszcza w zestawieniu z kilkuletnim Worms WMD. Reedycję docenią za to fani oryginalnej odsłony, którzy wreszcie dostali konsolowe wydanie, do którego działania nie ma co się czepić.
