  • UFC Undisputed 2010 will absolutely thrill fans of the sport, with a huge roster, some technical gameplay design, and a massively involving career mode. It does fall into the repetition trappings of any sports game, but if you love the subject content then you'll adore this game and its lavish presentation.

  • Clearly, UFC 2010 Undisputed is a game with its fair share of problems. You shouldn't let that put you off, though, because this is also a game that brilliantly re-creates the mixed martial arts combat that has made the UFC so popular and that boasts a roster of more than 100 great-looking contemporary fighters (as well as three bonus classic fighters on the PS3).

  • Better fighting and deeper online support with a clan-like "fight camp" system make UFC 2010 Undisputed a better-playing game than its predecessor, but its solo side is a pretty dry. Keep that in mind as you make your purchasing decision.

  • 2010 Undisputed feels like a real sequel, and even though there are some similarities between this year's and last year's Undisputed (such as the roster and the format of the career mode) there are enough additions and improvements in this title that it feels completely fresh. If you liked last year's UFC title, then you will definitely love this year's, and if you have never tried the UFC Undisputed series, 2010 is definitely a great place to start.

  • While it may sound like Undisputed has a lot going for it this year, none of the additions add up to much. This doesn’t feel vastly different from last year’s model, which is my biggest complaint. If you’re a UFC fan and you didn’t pick up Undisputed 2009, this is definitely a superior product. But if you still have your copy of ‘09 you probably won’t find enough fresh meat on these bones to satisfy you.

  • It is also, naturally, the most authentic depiction of Mixed Martial Arts on today's gaming market. EA's MMA title will be surfacing later in the year, but no matter what that game achieves, it'll lack the sheer star quality of Undisputed. Yuke's has once again done a grand job with the UFC license, and existing fans of the sport (and the first game) will find plenty to love here.

UFC Undisputed 2010 is good, but its little issues hold it back from being impressive. I like this game; the knockouts are awesome, there's a lot to do in the career, and the moments where Joe Rogan flips out add to the natural excitement of competing in the Octagon. Still, these highs are counterbalanced by repetitive dialogue, complicated controls, and a bunch of modes that all kind of feel the same.

  • 2010 is a fantastic title, with improvements in every area that needed it. While there are still flaws in a few areas that should be cleaned up for next year, there’s no denying that it’s simply a much better product. It might seem in poor taste to quote the trailer for EA Sports MMA in a review for the game’s competition, but there’s really no better way to describe what THQ has done with Undisputed 2010.
