- Unlike PGR3, in which contact can result in a race-ending wreck, Ridge Racer's arcadey physics and forgiving collisions make for intense pack racing in each and every contest. Provided you can actually keep up with some of the scary online competition. And with the game being popular in all three regions (North America, the U.K. and Japan) you can almost always find a full game online.
Greg Sewart · Mar 01, 2006 Reviewed on X360Read full review - Ridge Racer 6 is fun in bursts, but there's simply too much wrong with it to merit much praise
OXM · Dec 16, 2005 Reviewed on X360 - Most Wanted but it's definitely making an impact with fans of the series who already own X360's. Namco delivered a great racing title that is easy to play and yet hard to master and all I have to say is now that this review is done, I'm heading back online!
Vaughn Smith · Nov 27, 2005 Reviewed on X360Read full review - Ridge Racer 6 might not be the most impressive technical achievement on the Xbox 360 this year, but the racing is fast and rewarding enough to hook you in. And once you're addicted, you might not stop until you've unlocked every last race and car. Considering there are well over 200 races and over 100 cars, that's going to take some time. So if you're a fan of racing games in search of high-speed thrills both online and off, Ridge Racer 6 has a lot going for it.
Jeff Gerstmann · Nov 22, 2005 Reviewed on X360Read full review - As always with Ridge Racer, it's really a love-it-or-hate-it relationship with the drifting technique as basic physics -- and reality, for that matter -- are pretty much thrown out the window. Isaac Newton would choke on his apple if he saw this game. For what RR6 is trying to do, it succeeds -- it's just not trying to do too much.
Jonathan Miller · Nov 21, 2005 Reviewed on X360Read full review - So anyway, it's having an 8, but it's scraped it by the finest of margins. Gotham's a better game, but this turns out to be a worthy alternative. Eventually.
