- From the minimalistic yet accessible gameplay, the cutesy visuals, and the clever puzzle designs, Railbound is a delight to play. We would have preferred it had the game allowed for more creative puzzle-solving rather than offering just a single solution to each puzzle, but that’s the only real nitpick we have here in terms of gameplay.
SebastiaanRaats · Dec 19, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Beautifully presented and with thoroughly enjoyable puzzles that will challenge even the most astute of minds, there’s a lot to love about Railbound. While they start off nice and easy, its puzzles soon get fiendish, and solving them is so very rewarding. This is the perfect game to cosy up with this winter, particularly if you like giving your noggin a workout.
Kim Snaith · Dec 05, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - There’s no resisting the charm of Railbound’s chirpy cel-shaded models and, although they belie some fiendish challenges, the difficulty curve is as smooth as it is steep.
Roland Ingram · Dec 01, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - With over 150 puzzles and ability to play on the go, Railbound is truly a fantastic game with a charming aesthetic and well-designed puzzles that reward and empower the player.
Jacob Zeranko · Dec 01, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Railbound is a beautiful puzzle game from the creators of Golf Peaks and inbento, in which we construct railway tracks that allow our numbered train cars to connect to a locomotive in the correct order.
Alex Sem · Sep 19, 2022 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Railbound is a perfectly competent puzzle game. There's nothing wrong with that except for the fact that I could say that about a lot of other games on iOS as well. There are some unique things about this track-laying game, but they don't leave a lasting impression.
Campbell Bird · Sep 15, 2022 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Railbound really puts you to task with its whopping amount of track manipulating levels. It’s a case of trial, occasional error, and frequent elation, which makes for a very good puzzling experience that’ll last a fair few hours. The accessibility options are crucial in preventing any annoyance arising, by allowing everyone the opportunity to succeed. A few more fresh ideas wouldn’t go amiss though, with the concept feeling a tad monotonous when you’ve worked through a large chunk of the vast number on offer.
James Birks · Jul 04, 2023 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Railbound is a quaint, confident and colourful puzzle game that’ll charm your socks off if you let it. The presentation is welcoming, while the puzzles are challenging, all chocking up to a well-designed puzzler that’ll keep your brain boggling for hours.
Joshua Thompson · Dec 01, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - The game doesn't spoonfeed you with its hints, either - it'll simply give you a small nudge in the right direction and wait for you to figure it out yourself.
