- با در نظر گرفتن تمام خوبی‌ها و کاستی‌های Planet Coaster 2، باید گفت که این بازی نسبت به نسخه قبلی خودش پیشرفت بسیار چشم‌گیر و رو به جلویی داشته است و با اضافه کردن ویژگی‌های جدید مثل بخش پارک آبی، به یک اثر کامل‌تر تبدیل می‌شود. این بازی مطمئناً برای کسانی که عاشق آثار شبیه‌ساز هستند می‌تواند اثری سرگرم‌کننده باشد، اما برای گیمرهای معمولی که شاید عادت به پیچیدگی بالای آن نداشته باشند، می‌تواند به تجربه‌ای سردرگم‌کننده و نه‌چندان جذاب تبدیل شود.

Adding water parks and slides, and more rides in general, were all perfectly rational ways to expand on the Planet Coaster experience, but we’re in an era now where DLC is getting Game of the Year nominations, and I do think that this feels more like a massive DLC drop at 50% of the price of a base game than a new, full-priced game. And as fun as the emerging “Frontier Simulation” formula is I also can’t help but wish that the developers would challenge themselves to try and create an actual simulator at some point. Make something with teeth, folks! You might be surprised just how invested your players get when their decisions have consequences for their parks, too.

No, but it almost definitely will in the future. It’s early days, and to discredit the work that Frontier has put into Planet Coaster 2 would do them a huge disservice – there simply aren’t any other studios out there that push out such quality games. It’s still a way off becoming the ultimate theme park builder, but if other Frontier titles are to go by, give it a little time (and a little polish) and Planet Coaster 2 will undoubtedly be the sandbox my dreams.

The menu system suffers on a gamepad for sure, and we found it quite laggy too, but if you can persevere and get round the shortcomings of this, then the parks of your dreams are just a few thousand button presses away.

Still, there's plenty of fun to be had here, and building a waterpark is an undeniable joy.

The changes made to the game’s core systems, the additions to the management side of the game, and the new attractions like pools and flumes – which I have no doubt will be expanded upon in DLC – make this game an ideal sequel that improves on the original in almost every area.

De game heeft prachtige graphics en een goede variatie aan speelmodi, maar problemen met de interface, management mechanics en beperkte content laten de game onaf aanvoelen. Performanceproblemen dragen daarnaast ook niet bij aan een plezierige speelervaring. Voor de diehard fans van de originele Planet Coaster bevat de game enkele charmante momenten, maar als thema-park simulatie blijft het helaas wat teleurstellend. Als dit een Early Access-titel was geweest voor een fractie van de prijs, dan had ik er nog vertrouwen in gehad. Een game voor de volle prijs in deze staat afleveren, is echter niet fraai.

It’s certainly on track to eclipse its predecessor, and will no doubt build on lessons learned to become a better-rounded and more feature-rich game in future. While there will inevitably be a deluge of DLC to boost the game’s ride options and customisation, they will simply be decorations on an already-sweet cake.

El juego logra ese codiciado estado de "zen management" donde ver funcionar tu parque mientras planeas la siguiente gran atracción resulta tremendamente satisfactorio. A pesar de algunas limitaciones, el título ofrece una experiencia completa y gratificante que mejora prácticamente todos los aspectos de su predecesor.
