  Picross 3D Round 2 is more complicated than the previous 3D Picross, but its changes add worthwhile challenge without venturing into the world of over-complication. Its tutorial levels do a good job training the player in the higher-level tactics, and there are enough small variations beyond the standard puzzle to keep things interesting throughout. Don’t be intimidated by all of the numbers, because Picross 3D Round 2 is one of the 3DS’ best puzzle games.

  Picross 3D 2 is what a sequel should be, especially for puzzle games. I would've been happy with more puzzles, but it went further. It iterated and engaged my brain in new and clever ways that I hadn't even considered, it revised its progression ramp in a way that I found more satisfying, and it gave and continues to give me dozens of hours of enjoyment. If you have any interest in logic puzzles and brain-teasers, this is a can't-miss.

  Overall, it's a beautifully crafted and pleasant experience - whether that involves solving plenty of puzzles over a long play period, or shorter sessions for enticing brain exercises.

  Even with those two bits absent from this entry, it's tough to knock Picross 3D Round 2 without getting nitpicky. This game doesn't really do anything wrong. Sure, it could be a bit more difficult, but the hours I spent with it were filled with fun and interesting puzzles in a stress-free setting that was just what I needed to take the edge off after a long day at work. This game is comfort food, and it's a dish I won't mind having every single day.

  With Picross 3D: Round 2, there's nothing here to set the world on fire, but it's still an extremely solid, addictive, and enjoyable puzzle title that will keep players engaged for plenty of time and they will have lots of fun while doing so.

  Jamais on n’aurait imaginé que jongler entre deux couleurs aurait été aussi horrible, mais c’est justement ce qui rend Picross 3D Round 2 hypnotique. On dévore les bouquins sans voir le temps passé, et ce n’est certainement pas ce petit goût de reviens-y et les mécaniques imbriquées à la perfection qui vont nous aider à nous sevrer. Le crème du puzzle game, tout simplement.

  La série n'a rien perdu de sa superbe. Au contraire, les petits ajouts tombent rarement à côté de la plaque et on replonge de plus belle. Les nouveaux venus y découvriront une discipline vraiment addictive et accessible, les plus expérimentés un challenge de taille qui mettra la batterie de leur 3DS à rude épreuve.

  On ne vous rechantera pas le couplet du jeu hypnotique qui intime d’enchaîner les parties jusqu’au bout de la nuit, mais vu les cernes qui amochent nos yeux, force est d'admettre que les clichés ont la peau dure. Avec son ergonomie quasi irréprochable et ce savoir-faire qui s’exprime dans les moindres détails (bruitages, tactile, challenge), Picross 3D 2 tutoie à nouveau les sommets du puzzle game.
