- Overall, Minoria is a short, fun Metroidvania type game that’s certainly worth it if this is your jam, but don’t expect it to be a world-altering experience.
Marshall B · Dec 03, 2021 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Minoria offers little in the way of character progression and the RPG elements are practically non-existent. While its gameplay is serviceable, the art, music, and story bring the game just above par with its contemporaries.
Des Miller · Dec 15, 2020 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Clocking in at around five hours, Minoria is a game that’s short and sweet. The story is a solemn and sad affair that takes a harsh look into the problems of religious overreach. Overall, I’d recommend Minoria to Metroidvania fans willing to overlook the occasional blemish.
Garland Pan · Sep 23, 2020 Reviewed on PS4 - Building off of the success of the Momodora series, Minoria explores a Metrovania-esque cathedral and more active combat that ultimately feels a bit weak compared to Bombservice's other titles.
Kai Powell · Sep 14, 2020 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Minoria is a great Metroidvania that we’d hate to see slip under the radar amongst the more well-known titles like Bloodstained and Hollow Knight. It’s not quite as feature-rich as some of the other titles in the genre and will only last roughly 5 hours or so, but the combat is so impressive, that we’d urge you to check it out.
Ollie Reynolds · Sep 12, 2020 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - It sets a high mark for the Momodora series and stands tall about the slew of other Metroidvania options out there. If you’re a fan of Metroidvanias, platformers, or 2D combat, Minoria comes highly recommended. And if you’re a fan of the Momodora series, Minoria is the series best. Highly recommended!
Stephan Adamus · Sep 12, 2020 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Fortunately, retrying after death is decently quick, and checkpoints that save your progres and refill your incense charges aren’t uncommon. Even though it’s not a must-own title, Minoria is quite competent and will likely appeal to fans of the genre, in particular those who enjoyed its predecessor, Momodora.
Jordan Rudek · Sep 10, 2020 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - While Minoria is far from perfect, it does show a lot of promise for future titles. Minoria is not connected to the Momodora for a few reasons, but it’s clear Bombservice wanted to try some new things within the Metroidvania framework and it succeeds in some aspects but needs work in others. If anything, Minoria makes me excited for a Minoria 2, where a lot of the wrinkles are ironed out and all of the gameplay mechanics gel together better.
Elizabeth Henges · Sep 10, 2019 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Minoria is another strong game from Bombservice. Although it isn't necessarily better than their last, it's an enjoyable experience with great controls, good art, and an interesting story.
Andrew Farrell · Aug 27, 2019 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Minoria is an uneven game that will serve as a rainy day Metroidvania if you can't get your fill. In any case it just shows the world how talented Bombservice really is, and how I'll be following them until the end of time.
