- All hail Lady Hellbender, Monster Queen of Seknarf Nine! Let me get this out of the way right away: Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the best comic book/superhero games ever made, full stop.
Zachary Miller · Nov 03, 2026 Reviewed on Switch 2Read full review - The cloudy skies have cleared. While cloud streaming has its benefits, nothing beats having a native version of a game. Guardians of the Galaxy launched on the first Nintendo Switch as a Cloud version, and that experience wasn’t really recommended.
George Yang · Nov 03, 2026 Reviewed on Switch 2Read full review - Ultimately, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy ticks many boxes to make this a phenomenal game. The story will have you going through a range of emotions, and it’s quite rare for a game to achieve this.
Junior Onunkwo · Jan 10, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - The narrative is a beautiful tale full of hilarious jokes and profound emotionally charged moments that can branch into various outcomes. The combat is simple but thanks to the great sense of comradery and beautiful presentation fighting through the hordes of enemies is rarely tedious. The technical issues still need fixing but these are minor problems for an exceptional adventure. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is an out-of-this-world experience you don't want to miss out on.
Grayshadow · Dec 31, 2021 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - The game takes a while to load, and some of the transitions can take some extra time while the game communicates with the cloud. If all is going well, there is no problem. But if there are any hiccups with the connection, it can really ruin the game experience.
David Temple · Dec 08, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a pleasant surprise, definitely the better of the two Square Enix published Marvel licensed games. I cannot wait for Eidos Montreal to release the sequel, hopefully after the conclusion of the Deus Ex trilogy. For fans of the films, the comics or just looking for a fun game to play, this is well worth picking up. And like the films, wait for the credits to roll... you will love the surprise.
Lynley James · Nov 16, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Just like the Marvel Cinematic Universe iteration of the franchise, no one expected anything from this game, from this group of miscast nobodies. This isn’t the Avengers, they aren’t perfect, but that is kinda their thing. All this time, I wanted more Guardians of the Galaxy in me. Who would have thought? Sometimes, I guess it is the B-Sides that make or break an album.
Todd Eggleston · Nov 12, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - While elements of the game may frustrate some players; the winning storyline and highly-detailed locales with numerous opportunities to customize and explore make this one of the better Marvel-based games and one that fans will not want to miss.
gareth · Nov 08, 2021 Reviewed onRead full review - Guardians of the Galaxy delivers exactly what you want from a video game in so many areas. The characters' appearance and demeanor feel like they have been crafted so carefully to ensure you get an authentic experience that lives up to the colossal scale of the movies while remaining true to the source content and all while delivering a game that is a blast to play.
Dan Hastings · Nov 03, 2021 Reviewed on PC, PS5, Series X|S, PS4, XB1, SwitchRead full review - While there is a great game somewhere in here, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cloud Version has many, baffling issues seemingly exclusive to this version. On top of not being comparable to other console versions, it somehow performs even worse to the point of being almost unplayable most of the time.
