- Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP é um jogo que não envelheceu bem: seu combate duro e as cutscenes ruins mostram a idade do título. Vale conferir pela história absurda e se deseja um jogo de ação não muito profundo. Uma pena, porém, a ausência da trilha sonora licenciada.
Ivan Nikolai Barkow Castilho · Oct 10, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, así, acaba quedando como poco más que un proyecto aprovechado y que solo intenta aprovechar, valga la redundancia, una «IP» que en 2024 parece que puede tener algo de gancho jugando la carta de la censura, o de la ausencia de, como si en el fondo hubiera algo censurable en Lollipop Chainsaw, un juego vulgar y algo verde, «grosero e irreal», pero que al final solo ha sucumbido a la censura real y efectiva del copyright y las pesetas, que ha dejado los mejores momentos sin música. Al final nos quedamos con un juego mutilado y que no sabe poner otra cara que no sea la peor, condenados a buscarnos la vida por otro lado para jugar al Lollipop Chainsaw «bueno»: si para algo sirven las remasterizaciones, tan en boca de todos últimamente, no es para esto, eso está claro.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePop arriva all’obiettivo e con uno scopo interessante: riuscire a intrattenere i vecchi giocatori e non solo. Potrebbe starci inserirlo dopo aver concluso altro di più impegnativo, come un Frostpunk 2, o un l’alternativa Black Myth: Wukong, in cui sapere menare è un obbligo.

It's a remaster, not a remake, so fans should temper their expectations going in that this is pretty much the same game they played over a decade ago. There are new cosmetic items to get and the new RePOP mode offers a different visual style for the game, but there are a few missing costumes from the original and the iconic soundtrack has been completely scrapped. Being able to play on modern hardware is nice and having a new achievement/trophy list to unlock can be appealing to some, but saying this is an improved version is a tough sell. Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP can be a fun way to experience the game, especially for first timers, but overall, the original release is the better version.

Unfortunately, the result is only just passable. The RePOP mode feels undercooked, the visuals are inconsistent and there are some notable effects missing from the original. While the improved framerate and gameplay changes are welcome, they're unfortunately not worth everything else that has been lost in translation.

But I still had fun. Maybe it’s just because I never played the original release. Or maybe my expectations were never terribly high. But killing zombies with a chainsaw amidst a flurry of sparkly gore can be a pretty good time. On the other hand, I hesitate to recommend this game for purchase. Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP isn’t quite worth a full-price commitment yet. You might want to catch this one on sale in the near future, once a few patches have dropped.

It retains the all-star voice cast that aided in making it one of, if not the very best, Suda51 game. This remaster keeps the stupid silliness and crazy energy that made me a diehard defender all those years ago. Dragami Games did an admirable job at reproducing the OST, too, and have a few bangers to show for it. I would’ve preferred a remake, especially because of how amazing the areas and Juliet’s model is. The talent is there but one look at the undead, it’s clear when the pivot happened. Regardless, I have always thought Lollipop Chainsaw was above average, and RePOP validates that.

Esse remaster mantém a sensação de estar jogando um clássico cult — ou seja, ele agradará uns e outros por motivos que certamente serão duvidosos. Matar zumbis é divertido e a história entretém com seus diálogos ridículos e com eventos absurdos que acontecem do início ao fim. O problema? Nada mudou depois de quase 12 anos; talvez apenas os efeitos de tela, a física dos seios e alguns recursos de acessibilidade.
