  • Killing Time: Resurrected è il perfetto binomio tra esplorazione e sparatorie all’ultimo grido.

  • In conclusion, Killing Time: Resurrected is a competent remake of a classic game. Even without prior knowledge of the original, the story is engaging and the gameplay offers a decent amount of exploration and puzzle-solving. The FMV enemies are unintentionally amusing, and the gunplay lacks a certain punch, but the overall experience is enjoyable. If you’re looking for a retro blast from the past, Killing Time: Resurrected might be worth your time.

  • With its old-school gameplay and lack of guidance, Killing Time: Resurrected isn't a game for all. This fast-paced first-person shooter does have charm, however, and it's at least an interesting curio thanks to its clever use of full motion video.

  • Killing Time: Resurrected is a fantastic upgrade to an underrated first-person shooter. There's a great sense of place in the level design and a cheeky sense of character with the enemy sprites. The story, whilst a little goofy is told well by some solid acting and the visual upgrades give it a greater sense of clarity. The key hunting can really damage the momentum and I do find the combat a touch easy. Still, I can appreciate the ideas on offer and the execution can feel ahead of its time.

  • Killing Time: Resurrected is yet another success for Nightdive Studios, with the team unearthing a forgotten cult classic and bringing it right up to date for modern consoles with revamped visuals and updated controls. Like PO'ed: Definitive Edition, however, it's not a game that's going to appeal to everyone thanks to its bizarre cast of characters and unorthodox method of storytelling. That said, if you're curious to experience one of the more unique games in the FPS genre, this is without a doubt the best way to do so.

  • Though Killing Time: Resurrected can't really hang with other boomer shooters in 2024, let alone more contemporary fare from a fundamentals perspective, I'm still happy that Nightdive Studios has cemented its heroic status by remastering it to an extremely high standard anyway and its love for the source material is abundantly clear. In spite of its clunky and flawed fundamentals, Killing Time is indicative of a shooter that wasn't afraid to try new things in 1995 and if there's one thing that remains true even now, it's that more FPS efforts could certainly learn to take a risk or two.

  • What a pleasant surprise, Killing Time: Resurrected is. This once obscure shooter gains new life with a wonderful remaster. Indeed, it's become one of my favorite shooters of the era, and that's accredited to its unique identity and unconventional approach to storytelling. They really just don't make 'em like they used to, and Killing Time: Resurrected is proof of that.

  • This is another one of those old school remasters with which part of the fun is simply experiencing it if you haven't already. You won't be seeing Killing Time in any "best of all time" lists, because it simply isn't that. It's rough around the edges, teetering on the bad end of schlocky, and the huge maps make finding your way around exhausting. But at the same time, being a 3DO game so fully committed to its era of FMV gimmicks and the overall strange vibes only a 90s shooter on obscure hardware can provide makes this the perfect subject of earnest digital archaeology. Is Killing Time a banger? Nah, not really. But Killing Time: Resurrected absolutely is.
