- The look of the game is similar to prior games in the series as the focus is on the music and moves versus detailed characters and backgrounds which would likely only distract players. Some may say this factor may show that the series is not offering enough new content with each new release and perhaps it would be better to simply update the prior version and allow people to add new music via downloads.
gareth · Jan 29, 2021 Reviewed onRead full review - Just Dance 2021 is a fine game if the thing you’re looking for is a repeat of Just Dance 2020, with a bunch of new songs added to the mix. This is not unexpected, since it’s what this franchise has been doing since the dawn of time. It’s sad that the game slaps you round the head with incentives for getting the Unlimited subscription if you haven’t already – making it feel like a bit of a cash grab – but that doesn’t change that Just Dance 2021 will be an enjoyable party game to play with friends or indulge in by yourself to get a great workout.
Jessica · Dec 13, 2020 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Having the under-appreciated privilege of joyfully dancing and laughing next to a Christmas tree within the isolated bubble of our loved ones not only boosts morale, but it also opens up to the realisation of how incredibly fortunate some of us are to have others to share that little bubble with.
Darren Palma · Dec 08, 2020 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Refined but not innovated, Just Dance 2021 represents the series in stagnation. It still entertains, but the past few entries have seen little in the way of positive change. A couple of the prior editions on Switch are arguably better.
Trevor Gould · Nov 23, 2020 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Just Dance 2021 fails to ever feel like a fully fleshed-out game, especially for the £50 price tag. Although the new tracks and the World Dance Floor mode are fun enough, it's hard to justify spending so much on a game that adds so little, and expects you to purchase more with thinly-veiled in-game advertising and upselling.
Kate Gray · Nov 22, 2020 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Just Dance 2021 is, as ever, a great party game experience that is simple to get into and encourages people of all skill levels to join in. Being able to use the Sweat mode to aid in your fitness journey is a great touch, while when using Kinect the video clips that are recorded never fail to get a laugh out of the room.
Jamie Collyer · Nov 14, 2020 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - The World Dance Floor has also been tweaked to make it easier than ever to join other players for a jig. Gamers can put on their dancing shoes and pit themselves against similarly ranked players around the world. So if you have a competitive spirit, Just Dance 2021 makes it easier to show out your skills than ever before. Finally, this latest installment comes packed with a slew of hit songs. Gamers can still subscribed to Just Dance Unlimited if they'd like to unlock all of the franchise's best tracks to date, but if you are working only within the game, you'll be able to dance to songs like "Adore You" by Harry Styles, "all good girls go to hell" by Billie Eilish, "Feel Special" by TWICE, and many more. There are more than 10 extreme routines players can unlock as they up their scores for certain songs. So if you are ready to get down to some of this past year's best songs, Just Dance 2021 will not disappoint.
Megan Peters · Nov 12, 2020 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - So – what’s new and exciting about Just Dance 2021 on Xbox Series X? Well, not much. With no properly new features, just new songs, Just Dance 2021 doesn’t come across as a completely new game – just an expansion pack to the previous one. Saying that, the new songs do show a better range of genres than the previous couple of titles and the free month of Just Dance Unlimited means that there is something to get everyone dancing over the festive season.
Gemma Young · Dec 06, 2020 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Put on your dancing shoes ’cause Just Dance 2021 is here to show you how to move. With superb visuals and varied choreography, it’s only a lack of online play and a limited core song list that hold it back.
Benjamin Hayhoe · Nov 29, 2020 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Just Dance 2021 is exactly what you expect from it. It works fine and the visuals and choreography are as good as ever. This being said, there are very few changes in the base game and Just Dance Unlimited is a much better option for most, would be, dancers. It seems its very invention makes the subscription of a yearly Just Dance game feel obsolete.
