  • It was a fun way to keep the whole family involved – heck, even my non-gaming wife joined us for a dance session. If you’ve played previous Just Dance games, you know exactly what you’re getting into and that will probably be enough to sway you one way or another. However, if you haven’t played Just Dance before and you’re are looking for something fresh to play – especially with a group of friends or the family – Just Dance 2019 is an excellent option.

  • The bottom line is that if you've been playing and enjoying Just Dance games for years, and now you want to be able to dance around to such classics as "DDU-DU DDU-DU," pick up Just Dance 2019 I guess, and hope the mobile app actually works. If you're new to the series, just find someone on Twitch streaming it and dance along at home.

  • Just Dance 2019 continues to impress with its catalogue, interface and incredibly entertaining dance moves. Just don't try any of them in the club before you've practiced a lot in your own living room.

  • Just Dance 2019, for better and for worse, doesn’t do much to step the series outside of its comfort zone. Though even so, it still manages to maintain the allure that’s held the franchise together for quite a number of years now. Despite the odd issue with its tracking technology, the game offers countless hours of fun for players of all ages, complete with a decent online component to further its longevity.

  • Just Dance 2019 is phoning it in many ways, but I must admit that even an off entry is still fun. My wife and I have really grown fond of the Just Dance series as a means of lively exercise, and this 2019 installment is likely to be our most played Switch title the next 12 months. However, its predecessors show Ubisoft can do significantly better. So if you’re not a big series fan, stick to 2018 (with an Unlimited subscription) or wait for the inevitable price reduction on this curtailed Switch version.

  • Just Dance 2019 is a sleek entry to the franchise that does exactly what it says on the tin – and not much more. There aren’t any fancy modes to speak of and you won’t have access to a lot of songs unless you pay up for a subscription, but the gameplay itself is just as precise and enjoyable as it always has been.

  • Just Dance 2019 is exactly like Just Dance 2018, 2017, and so on. In other words, it's extremely fun… but it also feels like a cash-grab, since it doesn't try anything new. Also, the 400+ long song list, arguably the bulk of the experience, remains hidden behind a subscription… albeit, a reasonably priced one.

  • If you really like to dance then the Just Dance games are your only real outlet these days barring going to a nightclub, getting drunk and dancing with people you fancy. I guess in the grand scheme of things Just Dance is a cheaper alternative to having a life, and comes with a fitness segment to boot. I just don’t feel that outside of the hit and miss elements of the UI redesign that Just Dance 2019 does enough to justify a new purchase after 2018, you’re probably better off getting a temporary Unlimited subscription instead.

  • The only real failing I have with Just Dance 2019 is that its base catalog of songs is rather foreign to me — and that’s without factoring in a host of songs that are ACTUALLY by foreign artists. I’m getting old, but I’m not that old — Top 40 songs are largely absent unless you jump back into the songs you’ll (temporarily) have with Just Dance Unlimited. That said, I mightn’t know the songs I’m dancing to, but Ubisoft’s done a wonderful job in picking upbeat, fun songs to dance to regardless.
