  Grimshade provides you with a huge storyline, this is probably the greatest aspect of the game. Due to lack of funding, there are some things they could not add to the game which is a shame, because of the potential all those aspects hold. Overall it is a very nice game that will captivate you for many hours and is easy to get into.

  True, too, I do not think I have ever played a game available for retail that was as unfinished as Grimshade. Unfinished games on Steam are a dime-a-dozen, but I cannot be certain I have the strength to trudge through to see the rest of a game that, doubtless, bit off more than it could chew. Besides, if this really is as large a world and extensive a narrative as promised, one should never feel obligated to push through hours of also-ran adventure hoping for an uncertain and potentially imaginary catharsis.

  Grimshade has stunning visuals for an RPG game. Additionally, it has an easy to play combat system and a wide array of characters with different backgrounds and personalities. Sadly, the negatives outweigh the positives due to the fact it’s incredibly story dependant, meaning you can get lost easily mid-quest if you are not invested in the story. The combat is predictable and there are game bugs that will make you restart the game and by extension the battle itself. Lastly, the choppy visuals are a little tough to digest.

  Grimshade is a love letter to the JRPGs of the '90s. Trouble is it's one that wasn't as eloquently written as it should. The weak-to-decent presentation cannot be fixed, of course, but there's some hope for this, if the developer ever heavily rebalance the tactical battles.

  Grimshade es un compendio de buenas ideas, con un sistema de combate que busca ser estratégico y lleno de posibilidades, unos escenarios dibujados a mano y música de gran calidad y una ambientación conseguida, pero multitud de defectos opacan esas virtudes para convertirlo en un juego aburrido, repetitivo y simplón.

  در نهایت در مورد Grimshade باید گفت که بیشتر شبیه یک پروژه دانشجویی بیش از حد بزرگ و از کنترل خارج شده، به نظر می‌رسد که افرادی که روی قسمت‌های مختلف آن کار می‌کردند، ارتباطی با یک دیگر نداشتند و هر کس کار خودش را انجام داده تا با چنین اثری سطحی رو به رو باشیم. داستان و گیم‌پلی که مهمترین عناصر مرگ و زندگی یک اثر نقش‌آفرینی به حساب می‌آیند، ضعیف‌ترین قسمت‌های Grimshade هستند و باگ‌های فراوان باعث شده تا طراحی بصری و موسیقی متن این عنوان تنها دلایلی باشند که از مردود شدن کامل آن جلوگیری می‌کنند.

  Taktická RPG Grimshade pochovala svoj potenciál nedbalosťou a nešťastnými rozhodnutiami autorov. Dôsledkom je plytký a nezaujímavý vývoj postáv a boje, ktoré sú na jednej strane jedinečné, ale na druhej nevyvážené a miestami hlúpe. Spolu s ďalšími nedostatkami a bugmi to hru sťahuje výrazne dolu a aj keď výsledok nie je úplný debakel, nedopadlo to práve najlepšie.
