- I thought that Grapple Dog was one of the best 2D platformers I’d played in ages, and this sequel absolutely lives up to its pedigree. Whatever the developers want to do next with these characters, it’s going to be worth tagging along.
Jason Ricardo · Oct 28, 2024 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Perhaps not quite as pure and joyful an experience as Grapple Dog, Grapple Dogs is still a hugely impressive and playable platformer.
Simon Reed · Oct 20, 2024 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - There are some tiny oddities here, but this is an otherwise cracking modern-day platforming experience. Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines is one of those games that you will have some superb fun with, constantly in awe of the new mechanics that are introduced, marvelling at the sheer variety of stages and ideas found within – keep an eye out for a musical level that borders on the brilliant. Chuck in a vibrant artstyle, pretty precise controls and a ton of replayability, and the Grapple Dogs franchise just continues to excel with Cosmic Canines.
Víctor Martínez · Oct 08, 2024 Reviewed on PC, Series X|S, SwitchRead full review - With improved movement mechanics, new dog Luna’s abilities, and a lot of content to get to, Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines is a better overall game than its predecessor. The optional levels are a bit easy, and Luna makes playing as Pablo feel a bit weak, but this is still an easy recommendation for anyone looking for some pure, fun platforming action.
Jamie Collyer · Oct 05, 2024 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Chaos expands on Pablo’s adventures with interdimensional travel, a new canine companion, exhilarating boss fights, collectibles, and super-satisfying platforming. This is a worthy successor and a must-play for genre fans.
Jemma Casson · Oct 03, 2024 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Now is the best time to be a fan of Medallion Games' Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines. With its improvements to level design and added mechanics with Luna at the helm, swinging via a grappling hook remains fun yet challenging. Oh, yeah, you can pet BOTH of the Grapple Dogs!
Will Silberman · Sep 26, 2024 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines feels like a case of a developer learning from what worked and didn’t work from their first effort and improving on it effectively. The result is a fun platforming adventure that I can recommend to both fans of the original and newcomers alike.
J.P. Corbran · Sep 20, 2024 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines is a charming romp though a bright and colourful world that makes fantastic use of its mechanics in order to fully engage the player.
Marc Rigg · Sep 18, 2024 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines is an adorable sequel that really turns the fun dial up to 11. If you thought Pablo's solo adventure was great then you'll absolutely love his world-hopping journey with the oddly grumpy Luna by his side.
