  • The laughs and goofiness draw me in, while the familiar card battle system keeps me going. Fable Fortune is an enjoyable game that, if nothing else, brings a deserving franchise back to prominence. I can only hope this is the beginning of a Fable resurgence, but for now, I’m happy to do battle in this world with cards.

  • Fable Fortune from the foundation is a solid game, it is exactly what I want it to be, but am still a little cautious depending on the course it might take. As long as they keep it beginner friendly, and don’t add too much onto their foundation that might seem hard to get, it might bring back that spark of life that some of these Card Games once had. At the same time I can also see why veterans would pass on a game like this; they’re already playing a game similar to it, or have played it before, so why switch over?

  • If you're looking for something to learn the basics of playing a collectible card game, and you'd rather play on console, Fable Fortune may fit the bill. But on PC, there's already a game with a large community, a better user interface, and more varied gameplay options... If there's one great thing about online games, however, it's the potential for redemption. Games expand with every patch. Sometimes, they're even reborn. Flaming Fowl Studios has the opportunity to transform Fable Fortune into something more in the future.

  • Yes, it's Hearthstone with a different skin on top, but it's also pretty fun.

  • The Fable games have never forced players to follow a particular direction on the moral compass, รกnd players themselves have always been free to decide if they would be good, the devil, or something in-between, and Fable Fortune is based on the same system. A predetermined number of times per game, the player can take on a task (these usually involve things like: play three cards, attack twice, and so on) and you can win these and get rewards with one of two special cards to choose from.

  • It’s hard to justify getting too heavily involved in Fable Fortune when it isn’t able to truly spread its wings. The loot box format doesn’t work in its favour when so many of its early cards are devoid of personality—there’s just no major drive to keep grinding for new cards. Maybe if it pivoted to more of a PvE approach and really leaned into its “quest” mentality instead of trying to have it both ways in an attempt to become an esport, it could make its mark.
