- The impossible has happened: After 14 years in development hell, Duke Nukem Forever is a reality. Long synonymous with endless delays and empty promises, this butt of countless internet jokes is finally, undeniably here. Whether that’s a good thing is another matter entirely.
Mikel Reparaz · Jun 24, 2012 Reviewed on PS3, X360Read full review - After 13 years, Duke Forever is ultimately and thoroughly mediocre, with heavy bouts of boredom and frustration mixed in
Ryan McCaffrey · Jun 24, 2011 Reviewed on X360 - Duke Nukem Forever is the result of what first began as perfectionism that slowly snowballed into mismanagement. Throughout the years, the game has no doubt seen multiple iterations, and a lot of 3D Realms’ original vision appears to be lost.
Paulmichael Contreras · Jun 22, 2011 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - An interesting game that's too-often a dog-egg to actually play. Sorry Duke, take fourteen years and try again...
Will Porter · Jun 21, 2011 Reviewed on X360 - Duke, it’s great to see you back again, I never thought I’d see the day
Rob Smith · Jun 17, 2011 Reviewed on X360 - It's an embarrassing, abhorrent heir resting on its laurels with plenty of ugly humor, bubblegum pastiche, and very little in the way of ass-kicking prowess
Game Trailers · Jun 16, 2011 Reviewed on X360 - And with that said, I probably won’t spend any more time with the game period. I’m glad Gearbox stepped up and finished this game, but after hearing about it for 12 years, I have no desire to relive any of it again. I’m now satisfied in my knowledge of what Duke Nukem Forever is and ready to never talk about it again. Welcome back, Duke. I hope your next game (which is teased after the credits) goes off without a hitch.
Andrew Reiner · Jun 14, 2011 Reviewed on PS3, X360 - The game isn't that long, and you'll be glad when it's over. Tacked-on multiplayer doesn't add much to the experience.
Amanda L. Kondolojy · Jun 14, 2011 Reviewed on PC, PS3, X360Read full review - If you're not willing to play a sloppy, cobbled together first-person shooter just because it has some kind of weird historical meaning, though, just forget this ever happened and move on. It's great, in some ways, that Duke Nukem Forever was released at all. But don't be confused into thinking that it's a great game.
Jeff Gerstmann · Jun 14, 2011 Reviewed on PC, PS3, X360Read full review - Given its storied development history, you might be inclined to grab a copy of this train wreck. Avoid the temptation. While much of Duke Nukem Forever is embarrassingly bad--the kind of game you point and laugh at--its biggest problem is that it's so tedious. Twisting valves, jumping on pipes and alien tentacles, driving through drab canyons, rolling alien spheres along the ground: this is what Duke Nukem Forever is about.

About the game
Trailers & Screenshots:
The King is Back! Cocked, loaded and ready for action, Duke Nukem Forever is pure unadulterated fun. Bastard Alien hordes are stealing Earth’s women. But nothing stands between Duke and his babes. Epic ass-kicking, massive weapons, giant explosions – yes. Inappropriate, insensitive and offensive – you bet. Get ready for the most bitchin’ and bodacious time you’re likely to ever have.
