  • In short, Disney Magical World is perhaps best described as Animal Crossing Lite. The quests aren’t going to challenge seasoned gamers too much, but with the farming, fishing, dancing and almost endless customisation and collectables, there’s plenty to see and do. A simple, heartwarming game packed with classic House Of Mouse magic – a must play for young and old fans alike.

  • Disney Magical World is one crazy game, and I’m certain it will have just one publishing run and become a hard-to-get cult classic before long. It doesn’t sound like a good game; actually it sounds like it’s made for kids, but I’m a grown adult and believe me when I say: this is a great game, made better if you’re a Disney fan.

  • I enjoyed my initial time spent with Disney Magical World, and I'll continue to play it on occasion to see what I unlock next. If you have a child or a friend who loves Disney and just can't get into simulators, this is their gateway, but I have a feeling that a lot of hardcore fans won't really get their money's worth.

  • It takes some time to settle into Disney Magical World, even though your digital neighbors certainly do whatever they can to make you feel welcome. There's no question the experience is engineered for younger Disney fans in particular, though older fans will enjoy the available tasks once they settle into the routine of Disney life. Still, you'll probably never get used to receiving compliments and words of encouragement from Big Bad Pete.

  • For a very, very young gamer looking to unwind with something Disney-themed, Disney Magical World might be of interest, but for anyone else you should let your conscience be your guide and guide you away from this saccharine-coated, dreadfully dull game.

  • The potential for frustration is high, but gaming is a step-up program. If you’ve reluctantly lent your 3DS to a backseat driver to pacify them on a long road trip, Disney Magical World will do the trick. It might even be naptime before you know it.

  • I wasn't just waxing nostalgic in this review's introduction when I said that Disney Magical World is a game for everyone. In fact, I'd say it's more appropriate for teenagers and adults than it is for children. The sheer number of collectibles, increasing difficulty of missions, and challenge to acquire every Happy Sticker isn't really a feat for kids. It's for people who have loved these characters for years. It's the kind of game that can only be called charming.

  • Disney fans are sure to love interacting with their favourite characters and exploring their worlds, and those who enjoy life simulators will get a kick out of the variety in gameplay. If you’re beginning to get burnt out on Animal Crossing and you’re seeking something similar that also manages to feel fresh, Magical World is the perfect way to start a new life once again.

  • The plan here is that the hustle and bustle of Castleton, and the charm of Disney, will hold the player's interest over a long period of time, despite the lack of any major excitement. For more seasoned gamers, Disney Magical World might be a pleasant surprise. For kids, it could feel genuinely magical.

  • Magical World isn't just Animal Crossing with Disney characters - the additions and refinements make the experience so much more than that.
