  • You’re going to love Disney Infinity before you play it. You’ll tumble the incredibly well-made toys in your hands and think about the characters Disney could potentially add in the future (Star Wars! Marvel!). But once you start to play, and once you stumble over the technical issues, and once you find that there are barriers around every turn, you’re bound to find that you’re in love with what you think Disney Infinity could be, and not what it actually is.

  • Its playsets never quite lift themselves above being better than average, while its extensive sandbox mode reaches its potential only if you spend the many hours required to earn its best items. But bring your child along for the experience, and Disney Infinity shines. It's an ideal game to play together with a kid, and it's a great virtual toy box that will help unlock and stimulate a child's imagination. And who knows? It might just do wonders for your imagination as well.

  • Disney Infinity is largely a success and great fun for all ages. Though there’s the odd barrier here and there, the Toy Box is exactly what was promised and will only continue to grow bigger and bigger as Disney pump out more content. Playsets are also done well with plenty of content and re-playability, creating authentic characters and worlds that share the same vibrant palettes and robust design.

  • While Disney clearly had children in mind when designing Disney Infinity, the toy-infused fantasy worlds are excellent fun for youngsters and adults alike. Despite being held back by a couple of framerate issues and screen freezing problems, this cornucopia of physical and in-game joy still manages to cast a spell over its audience, offering swashbuckling action, magical adventures, and practically limitless creation and customisation options.

It captures the company’s keen balance of the imaginative and the formulaic; its sense of inclusiveness and rapacious..

  • From what we’ve seen so far, Disney Infinity intends to live up to its name, constantly expanding its universe through the release of new figures and Play Sets, but only time will tell how long the trend will last. For our money, we hope that the franchise continues thriving for years to come.

  • Despite the heavy criticisms that will likely have me stoned by the faithful, Disney Infinity is still an incredibly fun game with plenty of content and a near boundless canvas for your ideas in the Toy Box mode.

  • By the same token, I had a ton of fun playing the game, especially with a local co-op partner on-hand. So long as you're willing to put up with some rather elementary action gameplay, Disney Infinity is a solid choice for families, younger gamers, and gamers who are young at heart alike.

  • Even with its few missteps, Disney Infinity is a magical experience that succeeds in immersing adults and children alike in a robust universe where you will spend countless hours making your childhood dreams into videogame reality. Disney Infinity is a must-have game for gamer families with children of all ages and those who love the Disney fantasy universe.

  • Few games are so erratically constructed, and even fewer games capture the delights of the playground, where you make the rules up as you go. It's a shame that the painstaking craftsmanship of the attractive figures isn't reflected in the slovenly playsets. Exercise caution before devoting your money and energy to Disney Infinity: this is not the star you wished upon.
